  1. I'm not going to come on here and claim Drysdale is doing a great job, I personally don't think he is, nor as bad as some make out, probably somewhere in the middle.  He does care about the Rovers and is, I would imagine, trying to make a huge success of getting it right off the field.

I do sympathise with the points he makes but not the way he goes about it, it's probably fair to say he doesn't have natural charisma (who does in Scottish football?).  What initiatives would people like to see him and the board do?  Sacking Gary Locke is not really what I'm looking for either. How do we get the stay away supporters through the door? How do we attract new fans to the club? It's always about the stuff that's not gone to plan, rather than what we can do in the future.

  2. Bad enough sitting at Starks around some of the moaning faced gits but it's even worse on here.

Wanting to get beat against hearts, to get the manager out, aye good one.

This fantastic team that McKinnon left? What about Harry, longridge, Hardie (just back I know) Connolly, toshney, Anderson and McKeown? All starters last season  when we were winning and all out the door. Probably one or two I've missed as well. Can throw Craig Barr in as well with his injury record.

If you don't particularly like fans of other clubs posting on your topic I'd suggest a multi club forum isn't for you.

If Dunfermline were to come out and say we've went over our budget you'd have about ten Rovers fans all over it, it'd be another day for that wee teamer never to forget.

It's not really for me, that is correct. But I still like coming on and seeing what people are saying about the match every so often, but to go on other teams match threads just doesn't interest me at all. Don't mind the folk that do with a healthy interest in what's happening with other teams apart from their own but regular wind ups seem all a bit needy to me.

Just for the record had a wee peak at fantalk about 6 months ago for the first time in years and that is as honking as I remembered.

    As you were boys.

I thought he'd get away with it this year with missing the first of pre-season whilst he was on his honeymoon. Sadly, not so.

A bloody nightmare run of luck, all things told. Great player, which makes it all the more frustrating.

Whilst we're on the subject of injured players, anyone remember a guy called Scott Robertson?

Aye, am sure he played for Scotland once. Is he a free agent like?

  5. You are never going to get the atmosphere you did when it was terracing, days are long gone in my opinion. But since we have had the stands behind the goal, the best atmosphere has always been generated when we have had a wee choir at the back.

It's simple stuff though, if you want an atmosphere then you create one, get a couple of mates and sing, bound to be a few others joining in, especially if we are playing well. Or not getting totally humped at least.

This subject pops up all the time, not rocket science is it.  Personally, I couldn't give a toss about singing anymore, if there is a good atmosphere then great, rather have a blether, but maybe I'm getting too auld.

  6. Personally think I may get a better job if I got put away, but that's another matter. It's always a talking point anything to do with footballers and convictions but would anybody that is complaining about this be happy if a plumber or a joiner got put on day release and end up training as a footballer at a professional club rather than going back and doing something they are half decent at.

He wasn't gash though was he. Thought he had a real good game.

No he wasn't, thought he played really well and looked very comfortable there. But my point was its only a win win situation if the player is any good. It's all very well having a player with no wages coming out of the club, but if he is getting almost guaranteed a game when he is awful then that's not going to help us.

The second round is played next midweek so the draw will be next Wednesday night/ Thursday afternoon I'd imagine..

Christ I thought the second round had already been played. Trying to arrange something for that day but as tragic as it sounds I don't want to miss a cup tie at home. Thanks for that though.
