I also dont agree entirely with you here. I believe there's the guts of a decent squad in there somewhere capable of competing in this league. But they need direction, organisation and motivation.
Why change the system from positive results and performances against good teams?
Smith and Hamill didnt know who was doing what or how to support the ballplayer (slater). Why did Locke feel he had to fit them both in?
Mchattie, looked fit enough, why not start him? If he's done after an hour, then replace him, when hopefully we've done in enough in the game.
When smith went off, locke showed a massive lack of basic management and organisation by essentially leaving Frizzell up against Guy Demel, talk about a physical mismatch.
Higginbotham, why start him at the expense of frizzel, and why constantly be asking your wingers to be changing positions?
Why is it that Locke cannot man-manage young players to not let their heads go after losing an early goal? He's had more than enough chances to help these guys.
4 CB's in the back 4, 3 very inexperienced. If you feel you need to play hamill, rest syme, and play hamill at RB.
Set pieces, we look disorganised constantly. Not just on Saturday, but at perth too.
It's clear that after this many games, Locke cannot address problems, still doesn't know his preferred style and formation, or how to fit the players in a system. Can't motivate, encourage, recruit. What does he bring to the party?
How anyone can defend Locke is beyond me.
I dont give a toss about all the hes-a-jambo talk, i dont care what team he supports, however, he has encouraged the criticism because hes showed misplaced value on players he knows from Tynecastle, and hasnt learned about how to coach young players from his time there where he was forced to work with them.
What is Locke's strengths? What is he doing, or what has he done to justify him staying in the job?
This is the worst, most prolonged period of utter dreadfulness in my 25+ years of following Killie, and it's sickening. we seem to stumble from crisis to crisis, and the real sickener is that it's totally self inflicted. A disgrace of a setup on and off the pitch.
I really feel that this is the year our luck has run out, and we'll be seeing 1,000 crowds in the Championship next year. Fans are not deserting because we're more fickle than most other fanbases, it's because everything about the club reeks
