Super goal for Darvels first. Quite comfy result after 90 mins lochee bit disappointing but what a header in first half that was disallowed rite tight decision

Was a deserved win in the end but prob went in up 1-0 against the run of play first half , as u Said it was a very close offside call and then big Andy had a great save off his own error but second half only one team in it and third goal was a thing of beauty as was symies

Well said my man. Certainly hit the nail on the head with ex committee men. Liked telling the Pieman how to spend his money but took the huff when he decided different. Doubt any of them lifted a hand at any work that was  needed done yet there puppet on here asking what guys who actually contribute to the maintenance of the pitch etc bring to the club.We all know who Rhubarbs puppet masters are and he's silly enough to be the fall guy for them. I take it there will be a mad rush of sponsors and others volunteering there services now the Pieman is away. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting

Ive read some nonsense on here but that takes the biscuit , I wasn’t going to reply but for the avoidance of doubt see the guys who left

one was never away from the place cutting the park while the rest of the boys helped him when he couldn’t do it

another supplied a load of the materials for the new dressing rooms and Keir white  suite

and another supplied the paint and also painted new dressing rooms , keir white suite and the terracing as well as barriers around the park and you know what that’s what committees do up and down the country week in week out

  3. It was a very good win against a team capable of taking points off the top teams albeit they were very poor today but that was probably down to us , can’t remember big Andy having a save , now a big game next Saturday against in form st cadocs

There post a few weeks ago was "The current lead shirt sponsor of Darvel FC, QTS has agreed to extend its sponsorship for a further five years. This updated deal increases the shirt sponsorship of not only the first team but across the wider teams of under 20s, 18s, and 17s." that was from the QTS website link on post.

I actually never clocked that they were looking for shirt sponsor, seems strange. Now looking for main shirt sponsor for first team and 20s along with a host of other stuff. If QTS put in £100k was it just a cash injection or are they getting their branding put anywhere? I know that isn't my issue I am more worried about long term survival etc...

Hopefully a statement being released? No real statement from club since the one about financial issues would be good to hear current position and if John is away is there to be an EGM called to replace him?

And one thing I will say the park should be named after John or his company with the money he has put into the club

Back again, new phone and lost passwords etc...for account.

Due to rather unfortunate circumstances with the co-owner of browning's, I have been told John has stepped away from the committee/club for the foreseeable future until he has the situation with his business sorted. I do not blame him giving the circumstances, he has to look after his business and family first and foremost.

I think this highlights the reason to have a big committee and also numerous funding sources so clubs arent left in the lurch.

I think QTS have provided some security with shirt sponsor deal for the next 5 years however new business support and committee support is being looked for.

I believe on playing side of things, things are fairly settled, although not his biggest fan Tony has done a good job fire fighting tis season as I am sure the situation he has found himself in hadn't been what was sold to him when he came in.

Having not had a game last weekend due to the league letting teams ground share and imcompetance of the league secretary, i went along to the Clydebank game. Very lucky against a young Talbot side, i was told by a Talbot fan 6 players in the team were eligible for their under 20s which shows how young of team they are. Having watched the game I don't think that winning the league is out of the possibilities still.  Clydebank have probably the biggest budget in the league yet they are a very ordinary side, actually felt talbot were unlucky.

Judging by the celebrations at the end of the game I was assuming that was the league won. I know we get criticized for Johns conduct at times, however that Bamford at Clydebank is the biggest embarrassment I have seen at a game made worse that he is a league official.

If qts have took the sponsorship for 5 years why they trying to sell shirt sponsorship on their fb page ? And the main stand which qts sponsor also ?

Giving that Clydebank have started spending, will it be seen as a failure if they do not win the league? Has money been spent with the expectation of going up this year?

It will be a failure then as with beith having only played 4 at home this season I’d say they are very strong favourites and be amazed if they don’t win the league

  7. Rhubarb getting a wee bit excited and it’s no me with another user name before anyone mentions it 😂😂

we can beat anyone on our day but we could also lose to anyone as Saturday so nearly proved , a minute away from penalty kicks and anything could happen then , the Scottish is wide open and glensmad mentioned a load of teams who could beat us quite easily on the day

  8. Wasn’t great today but in cup football all u have to do is get into next round so job done , officials have have had better days as some of the decisions were baffling for Both sides , Greenock will be gutted as they  were denied going up 2-0 with a wrong offside decision and we looked  as if we had a stone wall penalty before g got the winner , we certainly deserved to win but missed chances could have cost us today

It did actually work out ok. Nobody is questioning that at all.

now you are not involved everything is negative even when things are going well is my point.

I don’t know, why don't you ask the people that make those kind of decisions? Did you not make the cut for the last AGM? The club will always be a better place without you.

U answer all my posts so be Interested on ur take on this , at the last agm balance sheets weren’t handed out but a statement made saying things were fine financially which was a lot of nonsense , u can’t just accept things as easy as that surely ?

Maybe you’ll make the cut for the next one…

Is there a crisis doon the brae?

The club have recognised the problem before it’s too late, cut back where they can surely that’s a step in the right direction. Still competitive at the top end of the table, still in 2 cups, Have a good group of players and excellent facilities.

But I suppose Things have never been fine Doon the brae since you got asked to leave 😂

I’d say aye but u seem to be happy , the only people coming out of this with any credit is Tony and baxkroom staff n the players for keeping things going
