Happy new year...so are ICT fans really trying to trot out a cup win because we won 3 points? This would be a first even on here surely.

To be honest if TOB went to a team like Dundee United or similar he would be selling himself short, he could play for a top end Scottish Premier team in my opinion.

You tell us, how does it feel to lose TOB?

Probably the best part of this decade for me has been our transition from being very conservatively ran to having a progressive board with fresh faces being able to build up revenue streams, the progress we have made in this decade hasn’t just been on the pitch.

Couldn’t possibly say what my favourite moment of the decade was as I promised the club I wouldn’t post it on here.

3 points would see us right back in contention to be fair, just 21 points off joint top. Mind, with United having a vastly superior goal difference this is maybe a tad unrealistic.

Maybe we could get Spence & Doris working in the new Pie Huts on the terracing if they want to sit tight, they’d be more use there.

We don’t need experience, we need quality, Miko being an example of what the right loan signing can do.

No disrespect to QOS but I feel this is a game we should be targeting to win after a run of pretty difficult games. We have played well recently so more of the same should see us do alright.

That’s a fair point, I guess what I’m describing in the striker I desire is all of the positives with none of the negatives. If we could get a loan in that had the same impact we got from Lee Erwin that’d be fantastic but every team out there is looking for the same perfect striker.

I’ve already said in my post, we don’t have anyone up top we can rely on, I’m not sure how to say it any clearer than that. Obviously a Shankland or Nisbet isn’t realistically going to happen but we could vastly improve what we have up there. You said it yourself we really should’ve had 6 points this week if we were more ruthless, we are letting some games pass us by.

If we think Luke Donnelly has been superb then it just shows big a problem we have. He’s been alright in a few games, that’s about it really. We don’t have anyone we can rely on up there.

Nice to see United fans potentially coming in numbers, not coming out with shitey excuses like we saw with Dundee last week

Worth saying that it was pretty decent of Brian Cargill to come along to the away end at half time to thank fans personally for coming along, didn’t have to have to do that but shows this board are in touch with the fan base.

Thought the game was very entertaining at times, didn’t have an issue with it going ahead, there were conditions to be played by both teams. Thought the ref initially let loads go which helped the game but got a bit fussy towards the end. Disappointed not to win but I would’ve taken a point before kick off.

It depends if you see football as a sport or entertainment, it’s certainly in the sporting sector. Please don’t patronise me by suggesting I haven’t been a fan very long, I’ve just never been in a position when I’d rather Arbroath lose a match even for “the greater good.” In fact I’ve been going long enough to see Dundee in administration, twice. It’s quite conceivable that Dundee could win this match and McPake could still get sacked as surely no Dundee boss in history will be defined either way but a result against us. Surely if he’s not the man for the job it doesn’t rest on one result. I hope Arbroath win today, even if we play shite I couldn’t care less, that’s because I see football as a sport first and an entertainment second.
