I don’t see a downside to having another strong keeper at all, if DJ is one to go in the huff then we can always get rid, I doubt that will happen, the club needs to strengthen as we move up to have a chance and it’s nice to see us doing so.

Should be enough money there to sack off Spence & Donnelly

I think players like Kader and Denholm still have a bit part to play if we are to keep a successful squad together. It’d be easy to bin them off then end up paying more money for worse players in the end.

The unfortunate part of the club moving up is that good servants might not make the step up. We have a choice to stick with the similar squad with maybe like 4 additions, which is something I hope we do, the majority of our squad deserve that chance and we have acquitted ourselves pretty well in the league cups games against tougher teams.

There absolutely no way that Doris & McCord are Championship standard. Having said that if we keep Donnelly & Spence as options too I’d be worried.

To be honest this team have some way to go to eclipsing my memory of a great season in Division One, that’s probably due to a number of factors including my age at the time.

We would be favourites to go down, mainly because of journos and fans that don’t have a clue would be the loudest and probably judge us on the Raith Rovers scale as small time. Fans? Full time status? History? We have already more than held our own against Championship opposition this season. Id be confident of staying up if our squad stayed the same as it is now with maybe the addition of a more dynamic left back.

I knew someone would come out with this shite eventually, whilst I agree it’s great to see a group of kids get behind their team and make a noise, let’s not pretend it was all game, because it wasn’t, not even close.

I thought Donnelly played alright yesterday, it looks clear he will work in this squad if players, linking up well at times, just needs to get used to this group of players a bit more. Forfar played well yesterday and sat deep enough to nullify our attack at times, the keeper bailing them out when it didn’t work.
