  1. Or 1 depending on your viewpoint, but I was responding to the post about you only having beaten the bottom 2.
  2. I might be wrong, but I think with the way the ownership is set up we need to break even at least - so spending our way out of trouble isn’t an option.
  3. Think you will have a job convincing any football authority of that. It seems to be well established for “b” teams to compete in minor competitions and even lower leagues in other countries.
  4. I think others that are worth a mention, although not the standouts that have already been mentioned are Jack McMillan, also on loan from Livi and going a good bit further back Andy Wilkinson from Stoke.
  5. Did he have many injuries at Cove ? I think he only had the one spell missing for us at the end of the season.
  6. I think he might have, just like he headed the ball onto the bar for McMillan to score the 1st as well.
  7. We looked dodgy 5 mins at the start of the game, but from then until about 15 mins before 1/2 time, I think we were fairly solid. Second half we looked pretty comfortable even after Williams went to right back. It wasn’t until Williamson went off that we stopped getting forward as much and then when Lawless and Graham went off, we had nobody to hold onto the ball. Hindsight is a marvellous thing, but bringing on Lyon instead of Alston or Dowds might have been a better choice.
  8. Having lost 4 key players from last season, we aren’t really expecting to be as strong as last season. That showed defensively. It’s probably more about it being early in the season than how good or bad any team is, though.
  9. I hope that McMillan going off was just due to not having played and nothing more serious. I suppose had McKenzie been available he would’ve come on instead of putting Williams to right back. Straw clutching here, if Milne hadn’t deflected the shot for their 1st, I am not sure it was going in.
  10. It’s a bit a hard for us to avoid being at home when one or other of OF are at home, unless the games have been rearranged for TV or European games.
  11. In last Tuesday’s video by one of the board members he mentioned that last year the total number was 2,400 although he didn’t say how it was split between full and 1/2 season tickets.
  12. They could switch the Hibs game to the Saturday if they don’t get a win on Thursday!
  13. I might be an exception from a Thistle perspective, but at the moment I think mid table is the best I am expecting. Mind you it is hard to judge when one of your new signings hasn’t kicked a ball in competitive football yet due to injury and two of the others are just in the door.
  14. Just think of the money. Is that not what everybody wants.
  15. I get that we are still early, but winning all 4 is still pretty good going. Winning is a habit, they say, and they could have had a more difficult start to the league.
  16. On the 2 games I have seen of us so far I would say it is really doubtful that we will make top 4. Also, going by Airdrie’s results, I don’t get folk still making them bottom.
  17. They can create as many old firm games as they want for tv and their fans would tune in.
  18. We will need to be significantly better than the last two weeks to win.
  19. I think it’s fair in that it means 3 points is awarded for every game. I’m guessing that in your example Dundee and Forfar haven’t been involved in a shootout yet, so have lost in 90 minutes more often than Raith ?
  20. Is it really 25 years ? It’s about time they started playing in it again, instead of all these friendlies.
  21. Don’t think there is any possibility that Doolan will get the heave ho, irrespective of results.
  22. I seem to remember that the reason that that clubs that qualified for European competition were exempt from the group stage because they clashed with preliminary rounds. What’s the reason now?
