  1. Martin Laird in the field too. Think he was top 20 in this event a couple of years back
  2. Even with his previous connection to Livi surely his record here would make that unlikely.
  3. If you have a car then a great route is to go south from Hampden to Carmunnock and then over Cathrin Braes (past Cathkin Braes golf club). This takes you towards Cambuslang. It’s never busy even on a big match night. Google maps gives journey time about 20 minutes.
  4. Visiting friends just outside London so took in Sutton United v Doncaster Rovers in a League 2 relegation battle on Saturday. Finished 1-1. The first half was absolutely dreadful. Much better 2nd half and Sutton looked to have deservedly won the game until their keeper had a crazy moment to give away a penalty deep into 6 minutes of stoppage time. Penalty duly converted but still more drama as Sutton very nearly scored on restart with a shot from halfway with the last kick of the game. We did the hospitality package. £39 for lunch and a match ticket in the stand. Really friendly club staff and overall a decent afternoon.
  5. You would think so and were it up to me he’d be long gone but I’ll be very surprised if he’s not in charge at QOS next season. Our board/chairman will be loathe to sack him given he’s contracted to May 2025. IMHO he’ll get another summer to recruit and will only be sacked towards the end of the year should next season be as bad as this one (or worse!). It’s a depressing state of affairs.
  6. Doherty has been better than advertised but “not that bad” is hardly a glowing endorsement.
  7. 4-1 defeat at home to Bolton albeit 2 of the goals in stoppage time while presumably chasing the game at 2-1 down. Looking doomed sadly.
  8. Smashing result. Credit where it's due.
  9. I think if Oscar Bobb doesn’t knock the ball home at the disallowed goal the ball was going in anyway. Goal could have stood if he’d not touched it.
  10. Finished 6 over and tied last place. 15/18 greens in regulation which is currently tied 9th in the stats for this round. 39 putts
  11. Yep. Stats currently showing 14 of 16 greens in regulation but sitting at 6 over par. 35 putts for 16 holes. Grim.
  12. Some start for Bob MacIntyre at the Farmers. 4 putt double bogey!
  13. No idea how reliable this is but suggesting potential return early February for Hickey. Brentford - Premier Injuries
  14. Wow that's quite a take. I've no agenda other than I really want us to be better than an also ran in tier 3 of Scottish football. The team are performing poorly and our club has been in decline for a number of seasons now. It's hardly a surprise that fans are moaning about that. To me it really is that simple.
  15. Looking more likely to be 11-13 under this week. Conditions first 2 days were very benign. https://datagolf.com/live-model/pga-tour
  16. In isolation a 1-0 loss at St Mirren isn't a dreadful result. But again no shots on target just as was the case when we recently lost 1-0 at the Galacticos of Falkirk. Grim.
  17. No idea. There is a Euan Ross listed in the players on our website (Number 26). I don't know anything about him. https://qosfc.com/players
  18. Neither feature. Brydon is back though. 31.Stone 15.McClellend 24.Ambrose 35.Brydon 27.Gibson 5.McKay 8.Todd 17.Fergusson 23.Logan 10.Connelly 25.Doherty Subs 1.Botterill 7.McKechnie 11.McGuffie 14.Hutchinson 19.MacIntyre 20.Irving 26.Ross 28.Johnstone 30.Walker
  19. I hear what you are saying but I'd be keen to know what you see as the "other" option in the whole point to spending money bit. I think the reluctance of many to thinking spending cash now has a real gain is that Bartley's recruitment largely doesn't inspire confidence. You are of course correct that a team making the last play off spot can indeed get promotion just as Queens Park did a couple of years back. Many of us just can't see that happening with our current crop of players even with a few decent additions. We have a big squad for this level and the boards position that we need to offload some of the dross before getting new blood in isn't unreasonable IMHO. That's not to say I'm a fan of the current board. I'm not.
  20. I was all for sacking Bartley a while back but, grim as it is, I'd tend agree with this now. Sad place to be but there it is.
  21. "Relegation 6 pointer" at Cheltenham tomorrow postponed because of a frozen pitch. Might be no bad thing if it allows the new players to settle in and maybe even get one or two more in.
  22. Troy Deeney lasted a bit longer but he’s gone. Lasted 6 games. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68024708
  23. This game being played at Premiership team so presumably VAR will be involved?
