  1. Agreed. Johnston needs at least another season at QOS
  2. Spot on. I`ve never known a season like it in 40+ years of watching QOS. Absolutely to be savoured. I thought we played some great stuff today
  3. Loan period finished according to an Annan fan on 3rd division forum. Could have extended but went back to fight for place which is good to hear. With 3 regulars missing from Ramsdens final he`s pretty certain to be involved in that.
  4. None too glamorous either but going to the Dundee derby on Sunday.
  5. I certainly read in the press that the appointment was until the end of the season. That`s not to say that`s accurate of course.
  6. Agreed. He scored in the match v Stirling then got injured. I was at that match but not at the County one so sure it was v Stirling
  7. It of course shows he`s no worse than Higgins. Durnan`s role probably also goes with the territory and according to the OS stats he has one red and one yellow this season. McKenna has been excellent of late and to me seems to be playing in a more measured way and has been excellent in possession as well as breaking up play. Maybe the penny has finally dropped. He will always pick up bookings but previously many were for challenges that IMHO he didn`t need to make plus some for dissent. Huge amount to offer the team, great to see him doing well.
  8. As posted earlier I remembered Queens Park as being easily the best team in the league. They only finished 4 points ahead of us so clearly not the case. Only 10 points between the top 8 albeit only 2 points for a win in those days. Wiki Link
  9. Yep, that`s pretty much how I remember it. We had some decent players including the excellent Jimmy Robertson and a young Rowan Alexander. The side put in some excellent performances late in the season including winning 5-1 away to Alloa who were also near the top but also served up some dross especially earlier in the season. Queens Park were the best side in the division by a distance with the rest much of a muchness from memory. Still remember invading the pitch at full time in the Rovers game when the result at Cowdenbeath went our way
  10. Murray retains title with 7-6 (7-0) 6-4 straight sets win. BBC Link
  11. Through to semis in Brisbane after straight sets win. BBC Link
  12. Some decent shouts in there. Even nearly 10 years ago Soutar was pish surely though
  13. Delighted to hear this. Thank god his dad is assistant otherwise according to some he wouldn`t even get a game.
  14. Now now JR as you well know Simmons was an SPL class player and we were lucky to have him.
  15. Wasn`t there yesterday but I`ve been a bit disappointed by Burnsy since he returned to the club. Looks low on confidence.
