  1. Some decent shouts in there. Even nearly 10 years ago Soutar was pish surely though
  2. Delighted to hear this. Thank god his dad is assistant otherwise according to some he wouldn`t even get a game.
  3. Now now JR as you well know Simmons was an SPL class player and we were lucky to have him.
  4. Wasn`t there yesterday but I`ve been a bit disappointed by Burnsy since he returned to the club. Looks low on confidence.
  5. Confirmed on SFA site that Forfar replay at Nairn next Saturday so weekend off for us. SFA Link
  6. Suspect the game at Forfar won`t take place as planned next Saturday. With Forfar managing to throw away a 3 goal lead today they`ll likely be at Nairn for a cup replay.
  7. Very happy to have gone through the first quarter of the league season undefeated plus the bonus of a cup final to look forward to. The way other results have gone today we`ve actually increased our lead at the top to 7 points I think so no disaster there.
  8. Info from our site. Link Hasn't featured much for us. Last seen as late sub replacing a striker after we went down to 10 men in a 0-0 draw at East Fife.
  9. Lost on the 21st. Bugger. Really close match and decent standard. We (my partner) missed a short putt for the match on 18th and our opponents missed a similar one on the first extra hole. Always next year.
  10. The real test for him will come when we have some bad results as we certainly will but I think we might just have discovered a gem of a manager. He's positive in everything he does and says. Happy to play the youngsters but has also made it clear how he values the input of the more senior players. Really impressed so far.
  11. Montrose is one of my favourite courses. Haven`t played there for far too long.
  12. Good playing. Seriously good golf. Have you been lower?
  13. Decent season. Handicap up from 8 (8.2) to 9 (8.7) so has been a bit up and down. Took me to age 50 to reach single figures (August 2009) so trying to stay at 9 or below for us long as possible. Have played 15 counting competitions this season so not too bad. Still to play final of our club foursomes comp, due to play a week on Monday.
  14. I`ve never played the Torrance. Agree completely re the Old Course. Definitely improves with each playing as you say. Loads of good courses to play in NE Fife. Scotscraig, Ladybank and Crail all well worth a visit. Update on my own golf. Played poorly most of the way round in a medal yesterday and then managed to sneak into the buffer zone by playing the last 4 holes in 2 under.
  15. Great post. That was such a disappointing day so I just assumed we had found another way to balls things up. Worked out fine in the end though. Promotion clinched at home to Accies, title clinched on a great day at Forfar then cuffing Morton at home in front of a huge crowd on the day we got the trophy. Great memories
  16. Only played the Dukes once, on an awful day. Found it a bit of a slog TBH.
  17. Clark`s effort was excellent last season but he just didn`t deliver. He was excellent in the home cup game V Aberdeen but that was the high point in a season of much effort and little result. Reilly is a class ahead as a finisher in my view as well but Clark has done really well this season and not just against SFL2 sides. All credit to him.
  18. Let`s just say not many (myself included) were leaping to his defence last season. I`m delighted to see him prove me wrong this season. That`s really the intended point of my first post.
