Week 7-Airdrieonians

I’m confident Love will be fine. He always runs himself into the ground and rarely walks off the pitch without limping or hobbling. He’s got some work rate and passion. He may not be the best skill-fully but he’s a great player to have.

Thistle have approached Ayr United for Ian McCall. DANNY’S STAYING!!!

Week 6-Dundee United

Week 5-Dundee

Are they actually signing (if so, why the big delay in getting clearance) or did he just want them in for the cup game?

In the previous 7 games against Forfar in the last 19 years we’ve managed 1 draw and lost 6 times. Think we’re due a win against Forfar, hopefully it comes tomorrow.

Forfar are a good side and have some very good players for this level. Kirkpatrick, Travis and Forbes being the standouts in my opinion but we’ve equally got players who are very good at this level with Grant and Goody. It’s going to be a tough game as I expect them to be top half of the table this season but Lennon is the best manager tactically in the league so under him I’m always going to be confident we can get a result no matter the opponent.

I thought it was a back 4 of: Lyon, Howie, Rumsby, McNiff. With Petkov in a deep midfield role and Love as a left mid but constantly moving into a defensive position allowing McNiff to get tighter to the other centre halves. It depends on your view of the game and everyone has their own opinions but I reckon it was 4 at the back with Love/Smith providing plenty of help to McNiff down that side.

Hopefully with Petkov out we’ll get clearance for the two new guys and if Lang is happening then hopefully we can get all 3 sorted for Saturday.

Week 4-Aberdeen

Thought the first half we played some good stuff. Good play from Goody for the first goal and we could’ve scored more in the second half on the counter. Falkirk didn’t really offer much. Plenty of crosses into the box but Mitchell was excellent at bringing them in or punching them away. Sammon up top for Falkirk and I don’t think he ever won a header in our box. Howie done a great job keeping him quiet. The full team put in a great shift and now we’ve got our first win. Time to kick on now. We’ve got a great manager who is tactically better than any other in the league I believe so no surprise he got the tactics spot on today.

What’s happening with Tom Lang? Noticed he’s not making the squad recently. If you’s would kind even to send him back to Clyde on loan that would be great!

Week 2-Falkirk

Wouldn’t be surprised to see the loan player we’re supposedly getting from hearts showing up at the Q&A tonight.

I don’t see much issue with prices going up, I thinks it’s expected, we’re in a higher league now and typically that means prices will go up. We will also have more fans attending as shown by the season ticket sales so I would be confident 30/40 of them will be willing to pay £5 to get in. Your getting a programme that would normally cost £2/3 and we don’t charge for parking anymore which was £2 anyway. No ones forcing anyone to purchase anything. If you want to go then go. If you don’t then don’t.

Goodwillie saved the club by joining us and scoring crucial goals to keep us in the league and then to get us promoted. If you don’t support us cause of him then don’t come back when he’s gone cause he saved this club and will always be remembered as a Clyde legend.
