  1. Today’s the anniversary of the death of Chris Mitchell, don’t think any of the current team where here when that happened but would be good to get a chant going in the 16th minute of the game.
  2. Rankin was phenomenal for us this season and will be a key miss in the playoffs but Goodwillie is by far our most influential player. Even on a bad day he tends to get at least an assist. 21 goals and 11 assists this season and it’s only half the story. He does so much more for our team in terms of opening up space, making runs, bringing our midfield into the game etc...
  3. Most teams would’ve crumbled after being told that all the efforts they put in over 180 minutes meant nothing due to an admin error and we may have showed a slight sign of it against Elgin when we lost on the same day the news came out. Since then full credit goes to Danny Lennon and Allan Moore on managing to get the spirits up again and make the players realise they can still achieve promotion. I didn’t expect us to go on this sort of run after the news came out but this team is something special, they never give up and they will be more determined than before to get promotion.
  4. Peterhead listing Albion’s top scorer as Clyde’s ineligible player, fair play [emoji23]
  5. Not sure how true this is especially with Greg Morrison training with us tomorrow night. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/the-press-and-journal-inverness-highlands-and-islands/20180822/282578788894729
  6. I’m pretty sure that boy’s highly rated by rangers and he’s a forward/winger exactly what we need right now.
  7. Always liked him as a player especially his short stint at Clyde and last season when we played you I’d say he was your best player by some distance. Great leader.
  8. A captains job is to lead by example ON the pitch and that’s exactly what Goodwillie does. He sets a great example of his dedication and effort in each game he has played for us therefor when our club captain Kevin Nicoll is not starting Goodwillie is a certainly justifiable replacement.
  9. 6ft 2in and only 25. Don’t know anything about him but he’s relatively young and got height. Exactly what we need up top.
  10. Hopkirk will be a good signing for us providing he stays fit but we do still have loans to use. No doubt at least 1 loan will be a striker.
  11. Is Morrison returning to Stirling? He would be a great signing.
  12. Seems like we have a closed door friendly against St Mirren today.
  13. Lewis Wilson has signed for Albion Rovers. Only played 3 games for us and was pretty poor in all 3. If that’s the quality of players they’re signing we don’t need to worry about them.
  14. Smarticus Osadolor has signed for you guys, was at Clyde last year.
  15. For years our midfield has been our issue and this year we seem to have a very strong midfield for once. Rankin, Nicoll, Grant, Cuddihy, Lamont and McStay all who can play centrally with the later 3 possibly further out wide. Then Hopkirk and Love who can play on the wing with Hopkirk potentially behind Goodie. Apart from a tall target man striker and an experienced centre half I genuinely think we’re in a great position for this season. We genuinely have lots of options to come off the bench. The main difference we need this year is more goals throughout the squad. Think other than Goodwillie the next top scorer was on 6 goals and the was Smart and with Lamont, McStay and Hopkirk in the squad I reckon we’ll get that.
  16. Clyde have just signed John Rankin, how was he with you guys?
  17. [emoji6] new it from day one. Great signing and should add some key experience to the squad!
  18. Your ‘hunch’ was correct. We have signed John Rankin. I called that one happening a while ago!
  19. Clyde v Motherwell (Live on BT Sport, 3.00pm) 28th July!
  20. How long till Lennon’s back from holiday? Hopefully some more signings announced when he’s back.
