So my European analogy is wrong?

You're telling me that if Celtic were under the kosh for the majority of a match but holding onto a point with progression at stake, they'd push for a winner purely because of their swashbuckling, 'We Never Stop' mentality? Nae bother.

Not arguing the rights or wrongs of how teams try to bridge the gap when playing sides with massively more resources, but it's as if its the first time some of your fans have encountered diddies timewasting. It must happen at about 50 percent of your home games.

The mindset of this Celtic manager is to try to win every game we play regardless of the opposition, the mindset is cup football.
The chances Celtic had in the game to get the second were decent but Motherwell played their part by having the out ball in Van Veen to also push for a second nothing to do with resources in a one off game, resources over a season yes.

Won 30 of their 33 games so far and hold a 13pt lead at the top of the table (which I fancy Aberdeen to see maintained by beating the other Glasgow mob at Pittodrie today and sending their equally mutant and entitled fans into a gloriously unhinged frenzy too, regardless of how meaningless a fixture it is for them with the league already gone), and some still aren't happy.

Motherwell were doing anything possible to hold on to a precious point that helped us creep closer to safety from relegation. If Celtic were in a similar position, say, trying to hold on for a group stage place in European competition, they'd employ the same tactics to claw their way over the line. Any team would.

I really don't get why folk get so wound up. Birghitti was at it in goals for Utd at Fir Park last week while Utd held out for a vital win. Some around me were apoplectic, which amused me, as they love it when Kelly who is a master of the art does it for us.

Dropping a couple of points that matter not a single jot in the scheme of things and winding themselves up into a seething mess. A fair element of the Celtic support really are arrogant, entitled cnuts who'll cry for anything when they don't get their way. It's beautiful to watch at times.

You are making the motherwell of all assumptions with a bit of word salad on the side M8.
It was clear what the motherwell players were doing in the second half not got a problem with that tactic but here's the difference Celtic would go and look for the second to win the game where as Motherwell are happy with a point.
Motherwell failed in their mindset to find a way to win, Celtic were going for a winning record that has stood for years so it's a bit disappointing we didn't get it but fair play to the mighty well for stopping it.

I don’t understand why we don’t implement a proper concussion system for such injuries. If you go down injured because of a blow to the head, it’s really not safe for you to continue playing until it has been properly checked out in a hospital.

I think he was ok yesterday since that clip is from October M8.

Yes you are probably correct. However what the delusional amongst the OF fan base do not grasp is that football is cyclical. You will stutter and be back to the days of 10000 gates and empty seats.

I would say it's transitional than cyclical,Celtic will never drop below 30,000 IMO, in the case of Steve Clark these type of people are worth more than giving your club £10 million to McInnes .

Ah. I thought you meant the cherry for the ‘Old Firm’ was 1st & 2nd, and we should be happy chasing our own wee marachino of 3rd. My view is obviously, yes, 3rd is our cherry on the top of the badly baked cake that is our top flight - but I’m not happy about that fact. Just hope on Saturday St Mirren don’t ch, ch, ch, ch, ch, ch, ch, ch, cherry bomb.

One for the old musically interested farts right there.

The thing is an equal share of the European dosh would make no difference to the outcome of the league, you can throw as much dosh as you like at it,IMO it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference.

I agree. 3rd is great. I said that ten of us are playing for 3rd, which to us, is top. We cannot finish 1st or 2nd, can we? Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, all a zillion points behind the uglies. There’s a two team league and another ten team league below that. That’s pretty much it.

Anything I’ve said here that you think is wrong?

So the cherry is just the same for you diddies?

Yes, Rangers are behind Celtic, but they're close enough for the derbies to get star billing and to keep meeting each other in the latter stages of Cups.  They give Celtic's trophies a sheen of achievement they'd otherwise lack.

As for the kick you apparently get from runs of trebles, fair enough - it's up to you.  It would hold literally no appeal for me, but we're all different.

There is a positive vibe in Scottish football and the national team Monkey, for me it's in a good place but like you said we see things very different but that's what football is all about M8.

I still think that the fact there's two of them is absolutely key.  An absent and crippled new Rangers, did result in a diminishing of Celtic.

The idea that each of them has overcome something comparable in any 'triumphs', lends them an air of legitimacy and helps prop up the illusory farce.

Sevco have underachieved Monkey since they made it to the top flight so I disagree that they are part of our monopoly M8, they've bearly made the laws of averages with two trophies in 7 years.
I get the same feeling with Celtic beating Barcelona or Scotland beating Spain plus appreciate good football being played or goals being scored (O'Hara's first goal was a peach at the weekend) to say it's hollow is absolute nonsense, I've enjoyed every treble because it's different each time, each moment is different.
The end goal is the same but the beauty of football moves forward with so many different possibilities.

The league is better for it, the days of the OF signing the best players from the rest and mostly benching them does the league no good in the Bosman era, without large transfer fees.

If anything, you need a stronger league, even just to improve perception from players you want to sign, otherwise you get comments like the ones from the Japanese national manager and that does nothing to help you attract players.

So you think the league is stronger even thou Celtic are heading for 100 points and scoring 100 goals?

We do so enjoy the media telling us we don’t provide enough competition for you though and why it’s our fault you don’t win against better teams. Too many teams happy to park the bus and go for damage limitation, when we should attack you and get hammered instead.

It's an interesting point, Ange hasn't used the Scottish market think Siegrist is the only player hes got on a free but when you look at that St Mirren squad it's full of players from this league and a big part in you guys making the top six.

Joe Hart, Matt O Riley, Carter Vickers and Aaron Mooy (via China) none of these guys were EPL standard when you got them.

What do you class as 'English jobbers'?

You said jobbers from the English leagues, not English.

Plus, Beale has only signed two players. 1 from England, one from Belgium.

He said English and I responded, Why didn't you correct him instead of me?
