I personally think that's a mental take. Watkins seems like a very useful player and, we're lucky we were able to get him in on such short notice, but I would take Cosgrove over him in a flash. The Idea that Cosgrove is just a striker who wins headers and bullies defenders is just wrong. When we played the long balls up to him last season it was his ability to hold up, bring "others into play" and score a bucket load of goals that almost single handedly won us games. The reason why we're playing so well is because we finally have a player in Wright that can play behind the striker (and we're not relying on players like Gallagher and Wilson) so the ball can go through him instead and our midfielders have options out wide in the wing backs that aren't being completely isolated further up the pitch. Again Watkins is a very useful player but he's also missed a lot of chances I think Cosgrove would have buried. We were awful at creating chances last season and yet Cosgrove scored 20+ goals... imagine what he could do with Wright and Hedges playing the way they are at the moment.

£2 million on Bayo £3.5 million on Klimala £4.5 million on Ajeti Two considered not good enough to start against Motherwell at home. One not even considered good enough to be at the club.

He was last weekend but came off the bench in the European game so I assume he's back fit for this one.

Absolutely no idea how we'll line up tommorrow. You'd think Wright and Hedges have earned a place in the team but then at the same time it's hard to not have McGinn and Kennedy in there as well. On top of that McCrorie has been playing well and as stated Ojo is fully tested. There's probably only 4 nailed on starters in Hayes, Lewis, McKenna and Ferguson...and maybe Taylor if he's fit.

In the same interview he made it clear that although he was pleading with the SFA to be lenient, the club would accept any punishment and deal with the consequences. So it sounds like they will specifically not have the "brass neck" to appeal anything.

Runs about like a headless chicken without producing anything against rangers....decided to go out Dylan McGeouch has had one good performance for the team since January and is probably on one of the highest wages at the club....decides to go out Scott Mckenna has voiced his displeasure at not getting to move last summer. Don't see how it being moved to a Thursday night when Aberdeen will have all(?) Of the players back from quarantine is fair on At Johnstone. Have they actually given a reason as to why the decision got changed from last night and it couldn't go ahead today with a weakened Aberdeen? I assume it's just as a precaution in case of any false tests? Surely at this point the players should be named and an apology issued...that wah the outrage doesn't continue when the teams are announced for Hamilton midweek

So surely Anderson starts Saturday. Haven't heard much about Main and he hasn't been mentioned in any of the friendlies has he? Surely means that Michael Ruth comes in as our No. 2 choice...not the grand restart we had planned for but at the same time chances for young players is always exciting right? [emoji30]

Really unsure as to how we're gonna line up for this season... usually by this time we would have had multiple friendlies and European fixtures which would have given us an idea but now I'm almost completely in the dark. Will Bryson play in the furthest forward role in a midfield three? Hayes as a LB? Hedges ever gonna get in ahead of Kennedy and Mcginn? We have 5 seemingly suitable CM's but at the end of last season we were only playing a formation that would fit 2. I reckon it could be a 4-3-3 of: Lewis Hernandez Taylor McKenna Hayes Ojo Ferguson Bryson Kennedy Anderson Mcginn Again though that misses out Wright, Hedges, McLennan, McGeouch, Considine, Ross and Campbell. Not to mention the assumption Devlin, Logan, Cosgrove and Main are currently injured or unfit.

Realistically will this guy be 5th choice with Helander and Katic fit? Surely you'd rather have Edmundson as second choice until/ unless he makes a mistake

Just received info on my virtual season ticket. Codes are going to be sent out two days before The Rangers match and there will be two "trial streams" on the two days prior for you to test it out. That same code is the one you use for all the matches. Also mentions that if you are one of the people that get into the first games with reduced crowds then your code will not be valid for said match and as soon as they can accommodate all season ticket holders all codes will cease to work.

Is it a fault of ours that we haven't shipped off our biggest assets? Instead of selling them at the first sight of cash we kept them and they helped our team to our best period in decades. Look at what happened to Dundee United when they flogged all they're players. Hibs sold all those players and yet haven't come near to the consistency at the top of the league that we have. We didn't sell them because we didn't need to.
