  1. Further fall out from the little deviant Grady not being. able to keep his hands to himself. Despite all of the negative publicity he seems to be right in the middle of snp business. In most other places he would have been chased a long time ago. Got to wonder what this guy knows and why he is defended at all costs
  2. I suspect any direct action will be more likely to occur should Morton or Inverness start picking up points and put our future league status in doubt
  3. Perhaps a head coach might get away with it more than a manager as more a team structure than one person holding it all together. He's served a bit of time plus it's also a club with meaning to him so might get a bit more rope than others would
  4. Time to get the deviant greens binned. Wonder if any of the big (s)hitters that avoided standing last time will take Humza on in a leadership challenge. Can the investigation of Sturgeon be turned into a McGarry like epic and avoid further nails in the coffin ahead of the election
  5. I noticed yesterday the streams were back up and running for all games instead of a select few. That won't help either in the weeks ahead
  6. I heard the change points are at Irvine and Newton but the latter not fully viable for electric trains
  7. Don’t think Prestwick can be used until Ayr opens unless for diesel trains
  8. Lasr i heard Strapp was still injured and didn't look like he'd be back soon
  9. Sorry that is my personal opinion of where we can get to and not that of the club. The club will have much higher goals
  10. It's not a straightforward situation at Ayr this season. This isn't all on him but change needs to happen and removing him would probably help the most. Certain milestones mask a very poor situation and definitely a case can be made for more time to be given. One of these ones where it will all come out in the wash and a situation needs to play out. Probably not good for the average fan but hopefully our new stand opening will compensate in the future Our MD won't sack him yet as not seen much evidence of him making difficult decisions. For me staying in this division by a point is the objective for this season. Still think he will be gone in the next few months
  11. Last night changed very little for me. The way QP defended was criminal and you won't see that too often at this level. Credit to the strikers for taking the chances and lets hope that it gives everyone a boost. More importantly it keeps us in touch with other teams whilst the situation plays out. Some of the newer players have been thrown in at the deep end which can't be easy and i hope this takes a bit of ptessure of them
  12. Was this not in the league above us? Never understood why people won't touch a manager who fails at a higher level but a player that ain't cut it is viewed as a signing coup
  13. The Bill Barr era probably isn't even at the halfway point of when the rivalry started. Although in recent seasons it has quietened down a bit. Over the piece the two teams were in and around the same league with many relegation and promotion battles. Some of the games were quite fiery encounters. There were also decades where knocking lumps out of the opposition fans was part of the matchday experience and both sides never missed an opportunity.
  14. Coaching could certainly be up there. Personally i just don't think enough of the players are good enough to consistently perform at our current level. No doubt some will have potential or ability but to compete we need enough to show up eacg week. If you are playing against better players who are organised then you are pushed and concentration goes then errors happen. Would like to see us play against a team in the league below at full strength with both teams trying. Would be interesting to see how much hoofball exists and what the tactics look like.
  15. Since the start of the year we have been no better than a bottom of the league team and the style of play rotten. The unusual nature of this league means that somehow we managed to finish second and a lot could then be ignored or swept under the carpet. We have a coaching team now which should avoid the problems relying solely on a manager but is actually adding to these. Our head coach is bad but needs emptied however i think some of the others round him may also be bad and not helping matters. Due to our declining form we needed some decent signings over the summer and we got the opposite. Too many punts that require an element of luck to come good. Recruitment dept has been terrible although despite what they say money could be being held back to pay for off field stuff. We have an MD that doesn't want to acknowledge the problems and not sure what it will take to make him react. Another issue is that an arguement can still be made after last seasons final position and league cup qualification to stop them from acting. Although that time is getting shorter by the week
  16. I had a bit of sympathy for the defence as this was a game set up for the attackers. Whatever team held onto the ball for a bit then attacked it looked like they were playing against ten men with the time and space they got. The difference being that Thistle did something with the ball when it went near the box. Murphy and Chalmers looked really good but they will get harder games against teams at the bottom end who won't give them time and space. We had so much time to think that even hoofball vanished for the evening. I get your point about Rose and not writing people off too soon. However last night with the amount of possession we had and also our wingers being able to create i would have expected much more to be happening in front of goal. We could easily have had two or three and still lost. Much is made of not recruiting in key areas but another few issues have appeared putting another nail in the coffin. At the top of our game last season Musonda was a cornerstone in defence but now seems our of favour. I get that McGinty needs to be white knighted on a weekly basis to justify his captaincy but there should still be room there. Last season Albinson was also a key player for us who stood up. You could look at some of those goals last night and debate whether he was a fault or not and this comes on top of a few dodgy ones recently. Last season he was never called into question
  17. Mathie should be locked in a room and forced to watch part one of his Q and A on repeat. The door shouldn't be getting opened until he realises and admits that we ,may have a problem
  18. Hopefully can last for a while yet but not played much recently
  19. When i hear words like toxicity used alongside false equivalence a red flag appears for some grifting and taking attention away from other issues. Not sure you would visit Jewsons and start singing a song when one of them did a good job. If you started swearing and screaming at a colleague in the middle of a job you'd be on your bike. Couldn't see any way back if you started wrestling with a team mate during a training session either. Totally different different environment on the pitch and with the concentration levels required much of the bile from the terraces will get lost. If anything the players screaming at one another when things don't go right is more likely to land
  20. Is it not happening on the 19th of October?
  21. Admission price is steep even for those who are working. Instead of going weekly people are having to pick and choose their games more. Removal of a cash gate option is another that needs looked at. Whilst it works for some other can't be bothered and we should be removing as many barriers as possible
  22. Even without the injuries i think this squad has went backwards. Had he declared funds were being used on the new stand then no complaints. Recent recruitment has added to our problems rather than sorting them. The days of tearing into people are long gone and there are different ways of getting a point across. There has been reference to the toxic atmosphere at the last few games and there should at least be some acknowledgment or reality as to where we are. A stranger watching that might think all is well whilst many are expecting scenes should we lose by a few tomorrow. There are plenty of good things happening off the park where they deserve a lot of credit. On the park is a somewhat different story
  23. If he came out with a 10 year vision i wouldn't have minded providing there is a reasonably competitive team to watch along the way. Good to get some clarification the infrastructure budget is seperate and the player fund was still at a decent level. The one question i would like answered is the reason for the significant deterioration of the squad from last season. Aside from Wattoo he seems to be the only person that hasn't noticed any problem. He made the point that the championshio clubs generally have a similar budget which raises further questions as to why we have made so many bad decisions
  24. Always thought Dowds looked a bit meh but he was generally put on as a sub and i was comparing him to Thistles other forwards. Considering out current situation this is a big signing and will pick us up a few points. Not sure if possible but would like to see Bryden getting sent on loan as him hanging around will probably do little for us or him longer term.
