  1. They have been quick in responding to my email (under 2 hours) but say that as the game has taken place they can’t adjust the loyalty points. I may give them a phone call tomorrow and try to plead my case.
  2. I have emailed them and will phone at the beginning of next week if I haven’t heard anything. I’m just glad that I spotted it now and not when I was trying to get some tickets.
  3. I was just checking my son and my account and noticed that he is only on 10 points while I am on 11. We both go to the games together so I wondered where the difference was. It seems that when I bought the tickets for the Norway game they have both gone through under my name! Looks like I may end up just being able to get myself a ticket (if any are left)
  4. I wondered what party she was as well, the light blue on leaflet was the only clue as to who it might be. I had to check as well to confirm what I had already thought was the case before filing them in the paper recycling.
  5. I have always wanted to know how to contact an airline! is there one for British Caledonia yet?
  6. VAR is killing football as a live spectacle for the match going fans. I much prefer attending games where it isn’t used now and a goal can be celebrated after a quick glance to see if the linesman has his flag up. I feel it is been driven by the fact it increases the drama in live games on TV and gives the pundits something else to dissect after a game. Personally it sums up to myself everything that is wrong with modern football.
  7. I know, I was being a little bit sarcastic. Rangers did get home tie as well, Brora v Cove!
  8. Looks like someone misread the memo; ‘make sure there is an Edinburgh derby and Rangers get a home tie!
  9. The Modfather is coming to Dunfermline next year!
  10. Anyone but England please, there is too much additional baggage attached to this game that would overshadow everything else. The media and social media build up would be excruciating. The recent game at Hampden has slightly put me off this fixture and it also tends to bring out some of the worst elements in our support. If we have to play them at all in the tournament, then let it be in the final! On second thoughts, Perhaps even funnier would be to play them in the 3rd place playoff! It would mean we had overachieved, while they (in their own minds) will have underachieved!
  11. I don’t know if this will make Scotland unique in being an oil producing nation but not having the refining capacity? However, will it mean Falkirk can now build a 4th stand as it will no longer be in the blast zone!
  12. I am lucky enough to have had what many would consider a dream job. I worked in the Casino on cruise ships (mainly a world famous Ocean Liner) for about 8 years in the 90s. The work actually interrupted the social life onboard the ships, the drinks were dirt cheap and though there were official closing times for the crew bars, we could often still be awake when breakfast was being served in the crew mess. Working in the Casino we also had any port time off unlike other jobs on the ship who were working in port.
  13. £2 to park there and I don’t think it’s restricted to home fans. The Leys Road car park that you will drive past is free to park in and only a few minutes walk to the ground.
  14. I support a guy along to a special needs group on a Friday, they have a Karaoke at it and the first Christmas songs were sung last week. The chap has a strong focus on Christmas and we try telling him not to mention it till December. He has been know to go up to random people in the street and wish them ‘Happy Christmas when it comes!’ In July. It now seems as soon as Halloween has been and gone that shops start bringing out their Christmas stuff.
  15. Cheers for that. I had given up but have now managed to secure a couple of tickets.
  16. Looks like The Dons are close to selling out their allocation!
  17. Aye, that was a travesty and I almost gave up on it at that point. I started following Haddock after that.
  18. Am I the only Aberdeen fan on here who is currently more excited about this than our upcoming Viaplay Cup Final?
  19. Haggis was an easy choice, but Black Pudding or Sausage can depend on the quality of the product.
  20. To go back to the time when clubs like Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hearts would see finishing 2nd as being a poor season, instead of the current situation when the limit of their ambition is finishing 3rd and they treat that as an achievement. I was lucky enough to be around in a time when 3 teams could have won the league on the final day of the season and if it wasn’t for Albert Kidd the title would have spent 4 years outside of Glasgow.
  21. I help at a Scout Troop on a Thursday evening and no one was wearing a Poppy last night. It was the same at the special needs club that I took someone to today. For me a Poppy should only be worn on the 11th or at a remembrance service on the Sunday.
  22. When do we get the options of salt & vinegar or salt n sauce! Mushy Peas, Curry Sauce or Gravy(though I think that’s a Northern English thing).
  23. A great idea. Having the North Stand full of Dandies and even just half of the East Stand would certainly look better on TV. When non OF fans are stuck in a corner of either end and the South Stand it can sometimes appear that only one team has supporters at the game.
  24. Inverness didn’t want any more tickets, but they objected to their fans having both tiers but only half of an end of the stadium (similar to the Rangers allocation in days gone by) They wanted their fans to have the whole lower tier at that end but didn’t take any tickets for the upper tier. When Aberdeen had sold out the rest of the stadium we asked for tickets in that area but were told that it wasn’t possible for security reasons. It shows how poor the authorities are in this country when they are happy to have empty seats at a final when fans are looking to go. it also doesn’t seem to be an issue when old firm fans sit above other teams fans in the south stand at Hampden.
  25. I hope so but I am already two down on the four of us who went on Saturday. My son and his pal play for a Sunday league team, but they are Pars fans anyway so were only there for the day out at the weekend. The price of the tickets hasn’t helped either.
