  1. Stop going off topic, this thread should be full of Caley tears, not shite chat about religion.
  2. Inverness had plenty of the ball today but did very little with it. A poor game, but delighted to get down the road with 3 points. That's now 3 wins from our last 4 games; if we can carry on at this rate we'll be absolutely fine.
  3. Even on here you'll see the more reasonable Airdrie fans defending it, "part of the club's identity whether we all like it or not", "can't tell other people how to show their support" etc. The simple truth is they're a horrible club and always will be.
  4. Wilson in (alongside who I'm not sure), Thomson back to midfield, and we're good to go. I'd imagine Crole will get some time off the bench as well.
  5. I can see why Morton fans may think that given his wild performance at Cappielow last season, but there's a reason his fellow players voted him into the Championship team of the year. He's only gotten better since then, and is almost definitely our best and most consistent player. I wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in this league, or even a fair few in the Premiership.
  6. Big move last night with Corbin Burnes heading to the Orioles for two really good talents in DL Hall and Joey Ortiz (neither of whom is actually in Baltimore's top 5 prospects though, showing how stacked they are).
  7. Kane was already ahead of Heraghty in the pecking order. I always liked Jacques but I fear his days at the club may be numbered. If the figures that are being reported for McKenna's move are accurate then it's a cracking deal for everyone involved. We were never realistically going to keep him. I'll certainly be following his career closely, and wishing him all the best.
  8. I'd have been annoyed at Crawford if we hadn't already made a very good signing today, I think he's fine as a squad player, doubt he starts. Maybe it'll be a nice surprise though.
  9. Exciting times in Baltimore with the sale of the club awaiting MLB approval now. The new ownership seems legitimately committed to winning, and would rank among the wealthiest in the league. The first point of order really needs to be getting all these incredibly talented, young players tied down to long term contracts!
  10. Initial fee of 350k (with loads of add-ons) being reported, I'd absolutely be using some of that to tie Ferrie down for at least another couple of years.
  11. The longer we leave it the harder it becomes. We really need to pick up at least 3 wins in our 5 February fixtures.
  12. You can no doubt understand the frustration at this type of signing given how inexperienced the squad already is, and how previous loans like this have worked out. He'll still get a very good reception and plenty of chances to prove himself, I'm sure. Everyone obviously wants him to succeed during this spell with us.
  13. That's good, I was just thinking this squad doesn't quite have enough wee boys in it.
  14. I think there's a player there if the right coach can get it out of him, but Coyle was a fantastic motivator and even he struggled. Had heard the reason he's without a club altogether right now is that none of the offers so far met his expectations, but you'd think when the alternative is simply not playing at all he'd take something. I'd imagine a fair few clubs at this level would be happy to take a punt on him for just a few months though!
  15. McPake was mostly very poor for us, with the exception of one game at Firhill where he looked fantastic scored the exact same goal twice. You're spot on about the attitude though, you could tell it was terrible, always felt like he thought he was too good for this level despite not actually showing it.
  16. He's a holding midfielder, not much pace but can tackle and find a pass, although since posting that I've heard that he allegedly didn't really settle in Scotland and wants to move back down south.
  17. Also, he's almost definitely going to show up at another Championship team now and score against us. Would be a solid signing for any team in the league.
  18. This departure has got to be wage related surely? He's likely one of our higher earners, so it must be to make room for someone else coming in. Either way it's very disappointing. I really rate Spong, and I don't think we'd seen the best of him yet.
  19. The longer we go without any significant rumours, the more concerned I am that we may end up having to rely on inexperienced loanees from the likes of Celtic and Rangers, which is absolutely not what we need. It's very worrying.
  20. He's primarily a left winger, although I think he could be played through the middle behind your striker(s) too.
  21. He's a skillful player who struggles a bit with the physicality of the game. I don't know how Dumbarton tend to play but my hope is that he'll get a bit more time of the ball there; he was incredibly highly rated when we signed him from Arthurlie, but the jump in level has been a bit too much for him so far. He's clearly very talented though so a good loan spell should do wonders for his confidence, and League Two is a decent stepping stone for where we'd like him to eventually be. I think he could end up being excellent for you.
  22. I think that's probably a good move for him. If he's ever going to make it at this level he needs to go there and look absolutely dynamite. Hope he does well.
  23. There's your MVP there, regardless of how this game goes.
