Last week one of my pals was having a full conversation with his girlfriend who he was sitting in bed next to via her Facebook wall about who was going to make the breakfast in bed. As a couple they're regular culprits for this sort of nonsense too, regularly using words such as 'snoodle' and excessive kisses in wall posts to each other. If it weren't for that fact that they're friends who I see regularly and know that they're actually not even that bad in person (well, him anyway, she's a massive pain in the arse) I would absolutely be deleting them both.

If the music was all bought through iTunes you can just re-download it through iTunes. If it's from CDs and *cough* other sources, you can put it on your new computer if it's on an iPod using a program like Sharepod which is completely free. If it's not on an iPod, I'm afraid there's no way of restoring it. Edited to add that if you've purchased music through any other 3rd party music download stores like Amazon or HMV's download service, I'd imagine you'd be able to re-download it through that as well.

Just watched Inglourious Basterds again, and it's still just as brilliant as the first time. The scene where they're questioning the three German soldiers in the woods is very possibly my favourite scene from any film ever, and Christoph Waltz's performance throughout the whole film is just absolutely spectacular. 9.8/10

I doubt it, there are a few other people who work there and they're all fine with driving licenses. I'm fairly certain she's just being awkward for the sake of it. There was one time I went in and asked if they had a certain flavour of Aftershock (classy, I know). When I told her I would just leave it because they didn't have the one I wanted, she started shouting at me saying I wasn't getting anything anyway because I didn't have any ID, as I was on my way out of the shop. She hadn't even asked if I had any. Now that I think about it, she's probably actually just insane.

There some stupid cow that works in the off license across the road from me who only accepts passports as ID. It's nonsense, I can understand why the majority of places don't like things like student cards, but she claims she can't take driving licenses either.

Time flies. I first posted in this thread when I was about to start first year and at the time was planning on doing Politics and Italian. I'm now going into the fourth year of my course having switched to Geography and Italian, and I'll be spending this year at the University of Verona in Italy before coming back to do my honours year.

Some lassie I went to school with just posted this picture, saying "life would be so much easier if I knew how to use a tin opener : (" I was pishin' myself.

Along Came A Spider (2001) - 6.5/10 - Freeman was good in this film, despite the fact that in every single one of his roles he plays Morgan Freeman rather than a specific character (probably because he's in the top 5 coolest people ever) , but it suits well here. Strange twist but not a bad watch.

Totally forgot this thread even existed, so I'll just a selection of films which I've seen recently for the first time. Moon (2009) - 9/10 - Atmospheric, clever story with a really nice twist, this definitely goes straight in as one of my favourite space movies of all time. Equilibrium (2002) - 6/10 - It was a really good idea, but I don't think it was executed as well as it could've been. Still worth watching, but the plot and characters could've been a little deeper, The Mist (2007) - 8/10 - Enjoyable film, found it hard to like many of the characters barring the leading guy. The monsters were really cool, and the ending was absolutely shocking (in the disturbing sense). Edited to bump The Mist from a 7 to and 8.

Where do you live? There are 4 professional hockey teams in Scotland in the UK Elite League; Braehead (Glasgow), Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife (Kirkcaldy), if you're interested in following it a bit closer to home as well.

So... there's another lockout on the horizon it seems. Gary Bettman is the worst thing that's ever happened to this league. I've signed up for the DOTA 2 beta.

Think ours was around 1500 last year on average, with 2k+ towards the end of the season and the playoffs, hopefully next season it should go up. Dundee and Edinburgh was a bit less than that, but I'd expect Fife to get around 1200-1500 as well probably next season.

After the really disappointing news that Richardson was leaving the Clan because he was offered a job back home, we finally have a new player/coach, who was announced today as Drew Bannister. Definitely pleased with that, the guy was a number 26 pick in the NHL draft in '92 has tons of NHL experience and is bound to have some really good contacts. Bring on the new season now, after a few signings hopefully.

Nice to see Mark Recchi win another cup too, always liked him.

If you want to take a modern languages degree at honours level the year abroad is compulsory, teaching in schools usually being one of your options. I should hopefully be doing the same the year after next in Italy. I have to be honest and say that I'm not really enjoying my degree at the moment. The Italian side of it is good, but there's a lot of uncertainty about the Geography department at the moment because it's one of the ones that's being shut down. No idea what options will be available for me next year. Bit shit really.

Nobody? Penguins totally c'nt up against the Lightning and end up going out in the first round. Pretty terrible to be honest, but what can you expect from a team without their two best players. Disappointed nonetheless. I"m backing Nashville and Tampa now.

I am ridiculously excited about the games this weekend. They're going to be a close couple of games but I think we're better than Nottingham and I think we'll be at the playoff weekend. If we do get pumped tonight, at least I've got an all day bevvy in Nottingham to console myself tomorrow. Mon the Clan!

Clan 8-4 Blaze, secures us fifth place in the league and our place in the playoffs against the Panthers. Great achievement for us to finish 5th in our first season, cannot wait for the playoffs now. Mon the Clan!
