  1. Dods was given a two year contract after we got promoted. They couldn't afford to sack him during that championship season. You're absolutely right though why let them start the next season when they have so obviously failed. It is baffling to keep doing the same thing.
  2. I used to play pub league and we were still drunk from the night before and there was better defending than that.
  3. We must have played nearly thirty games under him. How many goals do you think we have conceded? I can’t be arsed working it out but it must be an eye watering amount. He’s a two bit football pundit and we are indulging his fantasy of being a coach. His day job this week will have been talking about what is going wrong at Celtic. Neil Lennon would be pishing himself if he saw today’s game.
  4. There can’t be anyone left who thinks that Mark Wilson is a serious football manager.
  5. I’ve put money in to all the above as well and it does feel like it has been a total waste. Somebody else said earlier they wouldn’t be putting any more money in and if there isn’t some miraculous improvement under Mark Wilson neither will I until he goes. If last season had reached its natural conclusion we all know how it would have finished. Yet we decide to back Wilson and give him the opportunity to finish the job. We did the same with Darren Dods and Barry Smith. If you go back further the same thing happened with Jim Weir, he should have been sacked six months before he was as well. The same mistakes over and over again have taken us from a comfortable league one side to the joke outfit we are now.
  6. How many football clubs would finish bottom of the league three years in a row and every year decide to give the manager another go at it the season after?
  7. To be fair the second half was a lot better. They could have just accepted another doing and they didn’t do that. But we are still too easy to score against.
  8. We could and probably should have scored a lot more than two as well. There was a huge difference between Saints and United. I was actually fairly optimistic about today’s game based on the amount of problems we caused United on Wednesday.
  9. No idea. Let’s face it the opposition parties are hopeless in Scotland, and I say that as a Labour Party member.
  10. I’ve written to my MSP today on this. He also happens to be the Minister for Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing. I’m just one fan but everyone should do it. Remember there are elections next year.
  11. Good to see the six lads who were offered new contracts have all signed. Lewis McMinn, Scott Reekie, Jonathan Page, Sean McIntosh, Ross Brown and Kieran Inglis. Really pleased that Inglis in particular has signed, I think he is a cracking wee player.
  12. If case numbers remain at the low level they are now there will be no reason why we can’t get back to crowds in grounds, especially at lower league level. The government are always trying to dampen down expectations but I would be pretty confident of being able to attend matches in October now, although it might not be quite back to what we are used to.
  13. That’s not right. I’m looking at the leaflet the Scottish Government sent out last week and it says you can stop isolating immediately if your test is negative.
  14. Who wanted to hear an interview with him? A few weeks ago most of us probably didn’t know who he was.
  15. Well,if you’re a big bad chief executive of a really big football team and you’ve been bullied by Brechin City we are much bigger than I ever thought.
  16. It looks like the people complaining about bullying voted against the proposal anyway. So they weren’t bullied into anything.
  17. It might be worth remembering at this point that if we had employed a half decent football manager in the last five years we wouldn’t be in this position.
  18. Thats shocking. Forgetting about Brechin at the minute on a wider issue I don’t think the current set up at tier 5 is sustainable long term. It’s obviously hugely lopsided with more teams in the lowland area. As you say the Tayside clubs don’t seem to be interested at the moment but even if they joined a Highland pyramid it would still be hugely weighted with the amount of clubs in the Lowland area. It’s a massive disadvantage to the Lowland League clubs isn’t it? A whole other debate which you’ll have to forgive me I’m can’t be arsed getting into today!
  19. Has that actually happened? I’ll admit I wasn’t aware of that at all.
  20. Fair enough. I feel for Kelty and Brora and would be pissed off it was my team but I don’t see any way that they are going to get their shot this time unfortunately.
  21. You’re arguing that Kelty should get promoted on the basis that they might have gone on and clinched the Lowland League. They then might have beaten Brora who hadn’t yet clinched the Highland League and then might have beaten Brechin in a playoff who might have finished bottom of League Two.
  22. I understand that but there aren’t going to be any playoffs. So what would be your solution to that? Would I be right in saying that the other lowland league clubs didn’t get a vote in awarding Kelty the title?
