Admittedly I can’t be 100% certain. But I think anyone in south stand knows who we’re talking about. He used to be brilliant value when he channeled that energy into abusing the opponent GK. I’m all for that. Recently abusing Ruth etc just didn’t sit right with me at all. But yeah don’t know for 100% it’s the same guy, and don’t even want to talk more about it because as you say he pays his money and goes every week.

Some of the stuff he comes out with makes me genuinely uncomfortable and that’s hard to do. Don’t care if he’s an Uber passionate fan, it’s him that needs to wind his neck in a bit.

Well done Aidan keena. Guess it’s the bare minimum to always give 100% but not many do it. Single handedly dragged us back into it last week and the winner today. Despite being benched when he himself will know he’s our best striker.

Can’t have it every way. Closing the academy was an atrocious decision that I am glad they are urgently rectifying. The only thing I’ve been impressed with the whole “vision” of the club recently has been how quickly Fergus et al have recruited some seemingly competent youngsters for our youth teams. But, as you say, this has basically zero impact on our current first team at present, who we all pay money to see every Saturday

Rough with the smooth I guess. Also been gnawing at me that tattood Superfan Holt hasn’t been able to snag a single player on loan from Killie since his time here. They’ve got a large squad this year and last but nothing. Nada. A basic (and most important?) requirement of DOF is surely contacts?

I’m 100% serious in saying doing this would’ve produced a better squad than the models, scouts, directors of football, manager and coaches that currently make up our recruitment team

Yeah, I don’t think there’s any team that’s even threatening to be as strong as raith/us from 2 years ago or Partick were to the end of last season. It’s competitive because it’s all very even but in terms of quality I don’t believe many have strengthened (including us - by far our worst squad since we’ve been down). I guess you could say there’s no real stinkers ala Forfar, but East Fife are trying hard to take up that role

1 sitting midfielder is more than enough in this league. Almost every goal we’ve conceded has been the fault of the back 4, not because we have been passed by in the middle of the park. A simple ball over the top is enough to make McKay and Dixon soil themselves

Baffling amount of money, especially considering the state of our squad. Corr the “1st team analyst” and scout.....and the guys we identified included Mcguffie, brad McKay, Wilson, ompreon, hetherington?? Not fit for purpose.

Yes, quite probably, which is why I’ve been Holt out for a while. Sheerin hasn’t signed enough of his own to make me write him off, but what he has signed has been equal or worse dross.

Zero excuse about the state we currently find ourselves in from me. As I said before the season started the squad is the worst we’ve had since we’ve been down here in the seasides. But what can we do, and what can sheerin do moving forward? 2 options, pack it in or get a grip of himself. His interview yesterday was uncomfortable to watch, given it was only weeks ago his interviews were generally spot on. We’re only 5 points behind the leaders with a huge amount of games to play. For me, the quality in the league is the worst it’s been since we’ve come down too. It was only less than a year ago Partick were about 10 points behind us in the league, now look at the respective clubs. Football can change very quickly, especially when the quality of the other teams is so awful. Panic and nervousness from Sheerin won’t help at all. As others have said some “easier” games coming up where maximum points are a complete necessity to at least get us back in amongst it. If that doesn’t happen then god knows what we try next. Fire him and get who, fecking Brian Rice? I’m sure other posters will say it’s a joke we even have to use phrases such as “stay in the mix”. But that’s what we have to do for now, maybe til January, when we can maybe sign a player or 2. Not excusing it, but that’s the reality of where we are
