  1. Problem with reeling off names of players playing in the prem is that a lot of them are very average or even worse. Mcburnie, Fleck, Cooper, Burke are very very limited. Mctominay is okay but not at all inspiring. Tierney and Robertson play the same position. Fraser is bang average but played very well yesterday. McGinn is class. So maybe a few real “quality” players in our team and a lot of very average players. Plus no real stand out Centre back
  2. I'd usually agree with Gomis fading but thought he was everywhere last night. There was one in particular at around 85 mins where ball was played from edge of CLyde box into midfield by a Clyde player - Gomis read it, quickly moved in with a lovely wee fake and set up a great chance for Dowds which he should've buried
  3. "I'm convinced these plastic pitches cause more injuries", he says, with absolutely zero scientific evidence to prove this
  4. "I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SEEN COMMOR SAMMON ON" pleasseeee no more
  5. "Connor Sammon would have eaten up a lot of these crosses" maybe literally but not in a footballing sense
  6. What are these commentators talking about? We have no one to attack the ball from corners? Apart from Durnan, Hall, Keena and Dowds who are meant to be able to do very little BUT head the ball?
  7. Imagine Sammon bumbling over that ball. Very glad we at least have an upgrade on him
  8. Consider myself fairly tech savvy, but getting this every time I try to log in...crashed already?
  9. If fans were allowed back in in numbers that meant live streams of games were no longer allowed then you’d just have to email falkirk tv support. They’d understand your problem and let you buy the overseas subscription, allowing you to watch
  10. Just seen that on Facebook too...ALL income goes to away team? What the f**k?
  11. Haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere so worth noting - that “foul” on Mutch for their disallowed joke was a farce, would’ve been raging if it was given against us Mutch is great at league 1 level, very happy to have him, but does need to work on his coming out for crosses. Has been a problem for a while
  12. If there was ever proof that football needs fans it was that game...almost had no ill feeling towards them at full time. They were a bit better than us and should be top half of champ. Mercer for Doyle is strange. 2 CBS not up to it. Miller and gomis a bit of worry but Alston back with connolly should help that. Top 2 looked decent. Not reading too much into it, glorified friendly given we haven’t played in 2 weeks. Hard work starts now and I’m glad we’re up against a team that will sit in on Tuesday, much better preparation for our season than our games against Dunfermline, Ayr and Raith. Have we learned nothing from last year’s pre season?
  13. Glad Leitch is getting a shot. Basically hasn’t had one with us and looked good in Friendlies Imo club needs to get better at communicating with fans re injuries. Most other clubs you get sound bites 4-6 weeks for x player etc. we know little about Alston and Todd.
  14. Aye but BoJo is a Tory. Okay, if that’s the level of debate I can see why SD got jumped on. Childish. What Ferrier did was infinitely worse than what Cummings did, and you’re actually trying to excuse it. Really showing strong bias there, which is exactly what SD’s original point is.
  15. Have to agree with Shadwell here. If it was fat Bojo being mocked (which he has on here) absolutely no one would have muttered a word (rightly so). Just because you vehemently support Sturgeon doesn’t mean she’s exempt from jokey quips. The association with that word with the blue side of the bigot brothers does exist, however, so I wouldn’t personally use it. To accuse a fan of our club who clearly has no association with them of that is poor though.
  16. But he’s played every pre season friendly whilst half our squad is on the treatment table? If we hadn’t seen him pre season id understand your argument but we have - we’ve not obviously signed a dud who isn’t gonna play for 4 months (hypothetically speaking - we’ve not signed him yet!)
  17. Stephen Kingsley would be one of the best left backs in Scotland for 6 months if he signed. And he’d be playing for us. In league 1. Stop the moaning
  18. Strongest argument I’ve seen (and one I hope gets shouted about when the relevant people talk to gov officials) is the crucialness of football to local towns, and the huge mental health benefits to those communities. Personally I would be happy to put up with a huge number of other restrictions if just once every 2 weeks I could go to sit in an outdoor stadium and support my team - to be able to at least always have something to look forward to and think about during the week would be hugely beneficial and it’s something I really struggled with in the initial lockdown - the monotony and endlessness of it without anything at all to enjoy at a weekend. Sadly I think many policy makers won’t have stepped in any stadium in their life and don’t realise for a lot of working people going to games and football in general is one of the most important things in their life
  19. Anyone know if there’s highlights coming later?
