It’s a decent distraction but this game really does mean nothing to us, and we’ve got very very little chance of winning. It means so little that I think I’d probably prefer a stranraer win on Saturday to a falkirk win - being 6 points behind with east fife next is giving me the fear.

Good point, and with a few u18 tickets etc in there realistically looking at £8k. The financial benefits argument only works when you have a ground like killie/st Johnstone where you can comfortably fit 7 or 8k of the ugly sisters fans in without denying any home fans seats, and charge them 25 quid a pop. Then you’re talking

It’s not brilliant, but not surprising either. Also the financial gain argument is mince. An extra 1300 tickets at 15 quid a pop at best is about 19k, not exactly season changing money

If the tactic is - we have a full squad for stranraer tomorrow, use that, then wait til window closes for higher leagues and get 1 or 2 decent players (FULL BACK COVER PLEASE) in who weren’t able to go out before the window closed, then that is very shrewd business imo. If our dealings are completely done, then my head is going to fall off in a week

This isn’t true. Yes the quoted attendance is that, but it counts all season tickets whether or not they turn up or not. Real figure is a decent amount lower

We’ve sold 1600 today. So most of the red dots you see are the seats blanked out (red) for season ticket holders today. Then some that are red are ones bought by non seasons going to the game. Then green is available, which turns to red once you buy it

Definitely a bridge building move by the board to give us both stands, which after recent times seems sensible. Main stand will be about half empty though. As for the game, hearts will be quite a few levels above anything our gang can handle. At best an awful awful 0-0, most likely 0-2/0-3

Has longridge ever played in a traditional 2 for us (this spell or first spell)? Think it could work and it’s not like sammon or McMillan are banging them in so no real loss there, just can’t remember if we’ve ever tried it
