  1. sorry to take this off topic again, but I love the Livi Twitter feed and this has to be one of the best Sorry for the silence. There's no technical issues. we just haven't scored for 4 minutes.
  2. Not sure what the situation is with Jack, biggest problem may have been his age if he had signed for someone Livi would have been due something for him, if he does something at Hartlepool and they do decide to buy him its money for the club, but I so wanted him to break through this season, although I don't think he is suited to our style with a central front man whether that's 2 out wide and one centre or just 1 up top. Jack seems to be better suited to a pairing up front. Of course if he comes good for Hartlepool and gets 20+ goals and kicks on, it would be our loss. Best f luck to him. As to the Griffiths situation, I am torn with it. He obviously is talented but has issues whether that's just the hunger he no longer has, or his mental health issues, if he could get past that get the hunger back I do think he could be an asset, but it is a risk. Griffiths hasn't been at it for a couple of years. If Davie doesn't get another striker in within a 2-3 week period he may very well go for Griffiths, and if he does, I hope it gives Griffiths a new lease of life.
  3. I'd take a draw 0-0 shitfest of a game or even 0-0 with our backs to the wall in a stellar defensive performance. Last time Rangers lost an opening league game was 2014 to Hearts in the season they failed to get promotion and had to spend a 2nd season in the Championship. Last time they lost the opening game in the top flight...again to Hearts was in 1998.
  4. Bruce Anderson and !00k for JET....that is an outstanding bit of business. Hope Shamal lives up to his expectations, hope he turns into on of those players that go through a top sides academy with out playing for them only to show what a mistake it was letting them go.
  5. St Mirren at home last season in the 2nd round we bet them on pens and drew Rangers at Ibrox. Hearts was in the Scottish Cup. I would think most clubs will be looking for Arbroath in the second round as no doubt they will be 1 of 3 seeded teams from the group stage. probably them along with Dundee and Aberdeen should they win tomorrow. Assuming the draw will be after the Aberdeen Raith game tomorrow.
  6. Last season still remember leaving the stadium. seem to remember we used the East stand section for the games due to covid. I think the players were still using the home stand section for games. but was leaving the stadium hearing everyone saying we had qualified and I was like WTF!!! realised we have qualified this time round as I knew we had the chance and the games went our way. hope we manage a decent draw and who knows we could actually get another final and maybe get to go and see it this time
  7. We have now and no surprise to see him go straight into the squad for todays game.
  8. I saw something last night saying Loan deal done for Odin Bailey, would be strange if that's the case as it was a 1 year extension they picked up. I'd be more than happy to see him back but it may be the want him to spend another year and see if he can kick on again.
  9. Not been beaten by a Dundee club this season looking for it to continue on Saturday 2-1 Livi
  10. "I don't buy into the idea that penalties are a lottery. It's about ability and mentality. Craig Gordon is an imposing figure in the opposition goal." This was Davie Martindale's take on Penalties. Doesn't sound like something from a man coming for Penalties.
  11. Said that yesterday even midway through the first half he was throwing himself into everything. Didn't realise he was only 28, for some reason I thought he was a few years older. Could easily be the Club Captain for the next 5 years, maybe longer.
  12. With a defeat to Rangers then a defeat to Dundee, hoping for a Livi win and a 1 - 2 - 3 and you're out to hearts. No doubt be a tough game against probably the 3rd best side in the country at the moment. but we are not in bad form with 4 wins 1 draw and 2 defeats in 2022. Livi to beat hearts and Arbroath to do over the other Edinburgh team leaving Livi as the only team in the Lothians in the cup. Nouble is not a front man, we need get him out on the wing where he does look dangerous, some of his play in the second half up in Dingwall, he was great to watch, good with his feet, and good vision and awareness. Nouble on the left Anderson through the middle and Forrest on the right. think we could creat a few chances there.
  13. Think it shows the club are still going in the right direction, when we have players stating they want to stay, not sure exactly why Forrest wants to leave. maybe fancies his chances down south.
  14. Huge is right, every one of those games are winnable, but certainly the games against St Johnstone, Ross County and Dundee could go a long way to ensuring we remain in the top flight and Davie's guarantee of no relegation bearing fruit.
  15. As to any potential move to St Johnstone, They are currently my favourites for finishing in 12th. Not that I am that great with predictions. I would think it strange he signs a pre-contract with St Johnstone in the next month, with the way things are he could be back in the Championship next season if he does so. would likely be better waiting to see where the lay of the land is. If he doesn't take up our offer of an extension to his current contract he could easily get picked up by a few clubs down south or any one of 6 or 7 teams in the Premiership, who knows maybe even the team(s) that get promoted could try and lure him if he hasn't signed on with anyone. Can't see St Johnstone putting in a crazy offer of anything that should tempt us. he has featured in 24 of our 27 games this season so far. 14 starts of 21 league games.
  16. For me the comment “To be honest, I wasn’t happy there and, for me, the environment became a bit toxic." That is probably due to the next comment “If I knew I wasn’t going [there] to play then I probably would have stayed here." Of course putting him on as a sub and then taking him off 11 minutes later against St Mirren in the League cup, I imagine he would not have been happy with that, and then with the lack of game time, especially if he thought he was good enough to be starting may have contributed to him beleiving in a toxic environment ( May even be a poor choice of words from him). In all honesty Think it's just another case of a player thinking he is better than he actually is.
  17. totally, never comes on with his scrutinzing after a win only a loss. absolute muppet.
  18. so what you are saying here is, if I want to watch Livi play an away game at Celtic Park, in essence i would have to pay £25.00 per game for PPV if we were good enough to get in the top 6,. and maybe even £50 if we are not in the top 6 and only get 1 away game to you.
  19. Maximum deal we will give a player is 3 years, more often 2 years with a 1 year option. Stryjek and Devlin are here this season and next unless a decent bid comes in, and Hamilton, Sibbald and Forrest, I have no doubt they will be in discussions for an extension or will be soon.
  20. The first paragraph was a statement from UEFA, the second from me Trying to show that the price structure for the ticket was based on not charging the home fans much more than an away fan. at least that would be my thinking on it.
  21. From UEFA - Ticket prices for away fans will be capped at a maximum of €70 (Around £60.00) in the UEFA Champions League and €45 ( £38.50) in the UEFA Europa League, which represents the level of the lowest category ticket price of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals respectively. I suppose they had to go for that kind of price structure as the home support would not too happy if they were paying way more than the away support.
  22. I heard an interview with Davie Martindale a few weeks ago just before the first league game and he stated Livi had sold around 750 season Tickets, to state I was disappointed was an understatement. 4 good seasons, 2 top 6 finishes and a notional cup final and that was the best the people of West Lothian could muster. Anyway it got me thinking about Season Tickets sales and where we stand in the larger Scheme of things. I am in no doubt we are the lowest season ticket sales, but what have other teams sold for this season?
  23. Davie mentioned roughly 750 on the Talk Livi Podcast Listened to the interview tonight, enjoyed it I always like the way Davie talks, he almost sounds like he's just chatting to his mates about football at times. Absolutely gutted about the season ticket numbers if accurate, and no reason to think it couldn't be. Hearing him say we were at 1200 a few seasons ago why on earth have we lost almost 400 season ticket holders the last few years when we are doing so much better. I wonder if we lost that amount last season and some have not renewed yet, waiting to see how things go this season. Hopefully get at least another 600 -700 through the gates.
  24. As has been said about Menga, They reason defenders panicked a bit with him is you didn't know what he was going to do next...the reason was he didn't know what he was going to do next. Still love him for the goal against Rangers at Almondvale.
