Would seem strange seeing as he only signed a new contract in May.
Great signing if true. McKinnon not giving much away in post match interview. One thing does worry me though if this is the last signing, we are only a few injuries away from being a depleted side. The bench today proved that. Still need a few extra bodies in.
If Dallas does sign you have to think McKinnon is hoping he's going to have a similar impact to Rudden. That said no guarantees. I'd rather we went for someone a bit more proven than Dallas but he may do as a squad player if we are still signing another striker.
If it's true that all bids have pulled out then that is nothing short of a disgrace that these clowns are still at the helm on the eve of a new season.
I think if McKinnon doesn't get us out of this league his career will pretty much be on a downward spiral. I think he pretty much cost us our place in the championship by trying to not lose and shitebaggery tactics from every team in the league. I must admit I've not a fan of this lone striker philosophy he maintains, that said he's been well backed and hopefully has the personnel to make it work. I don't think there was any great clamour for him when we were looking for a new manager after Hartley, at least he wasn't on my list. But sadly our board's ineptitude at getting him cost us a few bob so we are pretty much stuck with him unless new owners come in and decide they don't want him. It's as big a season for him as much as all the on paper decent signings we have made. I just hope it doesn't go spectacularly wrong.
Great player before the innocuous looking injury. Never the same afterwards, real shame as the lad looked like he was destined for a great career. Wish him well though, really top bloke aswell.
Davis Keilor-Done. Announced today
I'd be absolutely delighted with that, however I feel it's more likely to be one of the trialists. Hope I'm wrong though
I think Dixon will do ok at left back in this league. Next season may require a re think about a younger more mobile left back. Of course there is always the chance that Durnan or Buchanan turn out to be absolutely shite or injured and he gets moved there anyway.
Id take a punt on FEB, he's scored loads at this level before, hippo I'm not too fussed about. Lazy, inconsistent and only turned up every handful of games. DKD for me but as others have alluded to probably end up elsewhere.
Johnstone is a bit injury prone, he may or may not stay healthy. Id give him a six month deal if we must sign him to see how he does. I'm a bit meh about both these potential strikers tbh, but in all likelihood that's who we will get unless McKinnon springs a surprise or two.
The likes of Raith and Airdrie. Shitebaggery got us where we are, should be fearing absolutely nobody in this league. If McKinnon has any desire to further his career as a manager he won't revert to type either. His signings suggest he's looking to attack at least. Durnan doesn't fill me with confidence at the back but again the "should be good enough for league 1" carpet gets rolled out.
Sammon would be ok IF we can get someone else to score about 20goals. He isn't prolific at all, that said if he can't score in league 1 be aswell sacking it.
I think Doolan would have been an ideal signing at this level, there isn't a lot of obvious choices striker wise, Id be amazed if McKinnon doesn't offer Johnstone a deal even if it's six months. We were linked with the young Clyde midfielder McStay were we not? Also heard Rory McKeown mentioned. I wouldnt be averse to DKD coming back either.
