  1. Good luck to Dowds I hope he does well at Thistle. Can't blame the guy and tbh he deserves the move. I think he'll do well there under McCall, like Campbell at Arbroath, these guys are excellent man managers and know how to get the best out of players. Watch him tear it up in the championship next season.
  2. They could all play like superstars in training, it means absolutely hee haw if it doesn't transcend onto the pitch on a Saturday. The vast majority of the "quality in the dressing room" as Miller puts it will all be plying their trade elsewhere next season with any luck. And not one will be missed, with the possible exception of Dowds.
  3. If the preferred candidate is still involved in the playoffs it won't be Petrie. It's all well and good having targeted Rennie's replacement if indeed it all points to Murray. Getting him to come to this basket case of a club is a different story. He had success at Dumbarton, then went to a bigger club in St.Mirren and it was a disaster if memory serves me correct. He's also had a few seasons at Airdrie to build a squad it didn't happen overnight. He won't get that sort of time with us he would have to get us up straight away. And with this squad of dugshite players and a reduced budget in which to do it, if I was him I'd have serious thoughts about giving us a bodyswerve.
  4. A new contract for Dowds might be a priority. Getting him to sign it is a different story, he won't be short of potential suitors with all of them playing at a higher level than us. That said he's maybe saw Griffiths payslip n thought I fancy a slice of that.
  5. I don't even think Rennie would even come out and say we are dugmeat obviously we are, he'd rather waffle some nonsensical pish that couldn't be further from the truth about where we are at its like the word negativity isn't in his DNA but I don't know who he's trying to convince, himself and the board perhaps, because absolutely nobody else is believing the guff that leaves his lips.
  6. Airdrie 2-1 Dumbarton Clyde 0-2 Montrose Cove 2 -0 Alloa East Fife 1-1 Falkirk Peterhead 1-1 Queens Park
  7. Dowds will be out the door faster than Usain Bolt at the end of the season. You can't blame the guy he never wanted to come back in the first place. It's no coincidence that Arbroath have struggled a tad since he and Nouble returned to their parent clubs ( under protest in Dowds case) . Dowds deserves a move higher up and Telfer will get a gig in the championship as will Morrison if someone offers us a small fee. The rest don't deserve anything bar the dole queue.
  8. Dixon talking candidly and probably also knows he's not going to be at the club next season. Sense that Rennie isn't overly popular with him and it's worrying that the season was thrown as he puts it in September. The players may have liked Sheerin but the guy was out his depth and had to go. What's more astounding is us appointing his successor who is even further out his depth. Wish McGivern all the best he's well out of the shitshow.
  9. I think they actually like him BUT I don't think they will keep him for the simple reason the meltdown would be astronomical not to mention the £ taking a hit from season tickets etc. If we were a bit more flush and could afford to I think they might have gave him the gig next season hilarious as it sounds. But I just don't think they can afford the gamble and that is why I don't think he will be here.
  10. Cove will beat us comfortably with or without Megginson. Fyvie and co will absolutely boss our piss poor midfield like every other team that can put in a shift in the middle of the park. 3 nil Cove. With Rennie to spout some absolute nonsense at full time that absolutely no c**t else bar himself believes.

  12. The fact his tactics n subs are completely baffling and he talks the biggest load of bollocks in his pre/post match interviews, has signed 7 players who he thought would me a difference and haven't. So no and don't even entertain the notion.
  13. I think he would have went in January if a deal could have been agreed. Get the vibe that him and Rennie aren't exactly the best of pals.
  14. If they have any nous they will have already started the process.
  15. It's just too much of a risk to keep him imo. Fans already have voiced their opinions. He's done nothing to merit being kept, brought in seven players in the January window and we have gotten worse. Reward him for failure which it will be if he gets another shot at it would you even trust him to get it right when he clearly looks like a rabbit in the headlights already and it's a massive season for us next year when finances will be stretched. You just cannot take that chance. He has failed to address the glaring deficiencies in midfield yet saw fit to give a striker circa £1500 a week knowing (or you'd hope he knew) he wasn't going to get service.
  16. Alloa 2-1 Dumbarton Clyde 1-1 Peterhead East Fife 1-3 Airdrie Falkirk 0-2 Montrose Queens Park 1-2 Cove
  17. If it's not an overwhelming gtf I'd be shocked.
  18. Whoever comes in has a thankless task. Need a total clear out again but thanks to Holt we will be lumped with a fair bit of dross unless they have clauses in their contracts. As for budget for next season there will be a few clubs we will be vying with, if Dunfermline come down you'd imagine they will have a decent budget, Queens Park will no doubt give Coyle money to spend and Kelty will be able to offer players decent cash you'd think.
  19. The fact we have went three times in a row for that kind of management tells you all that is wrong with this basket case of a club.
  20. Draw or home win. Can't see us taking all three points in all honesty. We just don't do well against anyone unless it's East Fife or Dumbarton. Another match ticked off which is about the only highlight.
  21. They haven't looked up for any game all season. The "look great in training" patter certainly hasn't transcened onto the pitch on match day. Peterhead's midfield looks better than ours and if they play in anyway shape or form as a cohesive unit we are in bother. I think it'll be a draw or a narrow home win.
  22. Fair point. But if we do appoint a new manager you don't want to leave it too late if he doesn't fancy any on the list otherwise your playing catch up n left with the dregs.
  23. I sound like a broken record here but you simply do not release a statement saying the coaching staff are already looking to recruit new players for next season if you have absolutely no intention of keeping the current protagonists. But this is Falkirk and it would come as no surprise we seem to excel at lurching from one cluster f**k to the next it's the only thing we are good at.
