  1. Yeah, and Watson took his fair share aswell.
  2. Or someone getting jettisoned from what we have left would be just as acceptable.
  3. Congratulations to Queens Park all the best in the championship. Unlucky Airdrie had a decent season and one of the better footballing teams in the league.
  4. Basically every player who was out of contract at Falkirk has been emptied, of those most notable being Mutch, Telfer, Dixon and Griffiths. Anton Dowds has signed a pre contract with Partick, and loan players Jevon Mills, Jaze Kabia, Keaghan Jacobs, have returned to their parent clubs Hull City and Livingston respectively. No new signings as yet.
  5. What a refreshing change to actually have a manager that knows what he's talking about. Let's hope he gets the players he wants and if he has already spoke to some under contract I hope he's told them in no uncertain terms this is what I demand, if your not capable then there's the door.
  6. I think our budget will be severely reduced this season. We still have a lot of dross under contract thanks to Holt some on three year deals like McKay n McCann. I think McGlynn is going to have to be really shrewd. Yes there's a load that have left, but with Dunfermline, Kelty, and possibly Queens Park in the league next season I don't see us having the biggest budget at all.
  7. I can't see Airdrie not going up. Queens Park aren't very prolific, Montrose had goals of a start and Airdrie still beat them, they are also a better side than Queens. Stranger things have happened but Queens Park to better Airdrie over two games can't see it.
  8. I'm sure there's an open goal episode with Si Ferry interviewing Michael Stewart when he was at Hibs and they were all away on pre season/holiday when Collins was there and the stuff about the six pack etc was mentioned.
  9. He's on a three year contract as is McKay. Who's going to be daft enough to pay money for him? You have to hope that Holt when signing these guys had the insight to put clauses in if not we can't afford to pay them off.
  10. Let's not forget that Rennie was "helping" the board whilst Miller took the reins. If he's identified players then you'd think McGlynn will pretty much reject most of them if Rennie's January window is anything to go by. The only players of any note that Rennie brought in that you could say got pass marks were Watson and Kabia. The rest were ganting including Griffiths.
  11. And being hamstrung by a bunch of diddies that Holt saw fit to dish out two and three year contracts to.
  12. Sounded an unbelievable game and kudos to both sides, who have been two of the better footballing teams in the league. Commiserations to Montrose but gave it a right go and congratulations to Airdrie for never giving up. All the best in the play off final. Personally I thought it would be Airdrie v Dunfermline and Airdrie would win. Still feel the same now its Queens Park. Good luck in the final.
  13. Sorry to interrupt but that accolade must be shared with Jaime Wilson of Falkirk FC
  14. What's the chances of Benedictus being the first signing I wonder?
  15. Good riddance to all those gone. It's an utter disgrace we are still left with those under contract after that season. Thanks Holt. You can only hope McGlynn manages to punt the likes of Holt, Sneddon, Wilson, Ross, out on loan for a start and can maybe at least try get some of the other imposters to f**k off.
  16. Airdrie 2-0 Peterhead Alloa 1-1 Montrose Dumbarton 0-1 Clyde East Fife 0-3 Cove Queens Park 3-1 Falkirk
  17. If it is Murray then we are already behind in preparation. We will need to wait to see how Airdrie fare in the playoffs if they go up then I don't see him joining us. Allied to the fact it's imperative we go up asap. He just won't get the time he's had at Airdrie to build a squad capable of challenging not with the amount of dugshite under contract in our squad. He's been jettisoned at St. Mirren before having to start again at a lower level. He must know there's a very good chance it will happen again if he joins us.
  18. Congratulations to Cove. Been the best side and thoroughly deserved champions. All the best in the championship next season.
  19. I actually think we will be our usual dugshite. We always beat East Fife but they had chances last week, it will surprise nobody if Rice has Alloa well organised and they come out and body us. We haven't won two games back to back since August I don't see it happening today either.
  20. The thing against plastic pitches is some players don't like to play on them, pretty sure we will have had a few transfer targets who have knocked us back simply because of the surface. That probably applies to other clubs aswell with a similar surface. It certainly seems that our pitch has attributed to Mills injury if Rennie was to be believed. Prefer a grass pitch myself.
  21. Clyde 1-2 Airdrie Cove 3-0 Dumbarton Falkirk 1-1 Alloa Montrose 1-0 Queens Park Peterhead 2-0 East Fife
  22. Agreed Nouble and Dowds and I think Arbroath would have got over the line, you just felt not just been enough in the final third to keep the ball. Jack Hamilton is a terrific player but could do with a help. O'Brien was outstanding. Some player.
  23. Good luck hope you take it to the last day.
  24. When your contracted strikers for next season currently stand at Wilson and possibly Ompreon aye Dowds is dugshite right enough! We couldn't give Wilson and Ompreon away in a raffle.
