  1. I see there is a chance of overnight frost  on Friday night. Hopefully game will be on? BBC showing 0c each hour but feels like -3. Fingers crossed it comes to nothing as looking forward to Saturdays game.

Quick trivia question, looked this up last night, when did Cowden last win 3 league games on the trot? I’m sure this is a piece of cake for a lot of you.

14/9/19 three nil away against Stenhousemuir where we went on a 6 game winning streak that ended with a one nil Vs Edinburgh city at home on 5/10/19?

  3. Another great result today for us playing to the final whistle.

Good result for Albion Rovers beating EK which I'm sure a lot of people didn't expect and especially 3-1.

Looking forward to Saturday to see if we can keep this winning formula going.

  4. Away from the B teams debate best of luck to Cowden today and for the travelling support.

Have a great Xmas and hopefully we have a good few fans next Saturday at the club lounge to toast last game of the year and New Year good wishes.

    Oops

Note to self check spam folder first before overreacting, I did say appear not to have it though 😁😀

My sincere apologies to anyone concerned.

Everyone else who has mentioned they do not have it may want to check spam folder or check the club has your correct contact details.

Merry Christmas when it comes everyone

Same here I am a season ticket holder, 100 club member and member of other funding streams and appear to have received nothing sadly.

How to feel valued and included 😢

Here's my heart on the sleeve and open transparency it was in my email spam folder 😂😳hide GIF

Message the junction bar boys mate. I know who you are and that you know them well.
Cowdenbeath 0-3 who posted above about reading the statement is 1 of their organisers.

    Thank you

Where would one find this statement?

No idea. I am well and truly out of the loop sadly but obviously certain people have had sight of this?

Not sure I agree with the use of 'never'. Granted it would be ideal to have an increase of funds from somewhere but there's nothing to say that we need to break the bank in order to put a team on the park that could potentially win this league. Prudent spending on willing, decent players. We have a manager I feel knows what he's doing and a decent guy at that who cares about what he does.

Also that chat about it not being bad being in the Lowland League can get in the bin. The only plus side is the 2 games versus teams in the league. However give me the monotony of 4 games versus teams, entry to the next round of Scottish cup and entry into the league cup over this any day. We are where on merit (or rather, lack of) but the goal MUST be to get back up without doing a Berwick.

    Spot on.

Just in case anyone interested, Norrie Work was at the game on Friday and has a blog with lots of interviews and some game footage.

The question to David Allen about the match being moved to Friday was interesting, David said it was partly done as a bit of an experiment, and I think from a crowd size it was pretty successful and wonder if it might become a semi-regular thing.

A Friday night game can maybe attract people who like to visit different games, there were a few of them there, there was a bunch of Stuttgart fans who had been at Aberdeen. From a selfish point of view, Saturdays are more difficult for me now with youth footie commitments, so Fridays are great. 😀

Appreciate there will be alternative points of view, maybe not so good for older fans or ones that rely on public transport.  There were definitely a good few regulars missing on Friday yet the crowd held up well (there were only a handful of Hearts fans).

What do others think of Friday night games?

Personally I am a traditional Saturday at 3pm person but open to any pilot with the intention of helping the club overall.

I do enjoy a Saturday though which is good for the town/local community i.e the hospitality industry in the town.

There’s an obvious argument for both sides of that.
the 4 league divisions are smaller and play  each other 4 times, almost every single game of the season has meaning and something to play for. Quite early in the season it’s apparent that a section of the 18 team non leagues have nothing to play for as aren’t going up or down.

And add in the financial aspect i.e no prize money in the Lowland league other than B team contributions that I believe is distributed amongst clubs. Also very disappointing away fans attendance. We have been fortunate for very reasonable home attendance due to things looking more attractive on the pitch and efforts behind the scenes.

  13. Following on from Saturdays decent performance how good was it to see the club lounge busy?

If we could aim to do that more often it would create the perfect vibe pre match.

Thank you to everyone who bought Xmas raffle tickets in the lounge prior to kick off and it was good to see guests enjoying themselves.

Feedback from some people is people really enjoyed themselves again and the warm welcome.

Credit also to the JB supporters club too pre match and all of the excellent work they are doing. Well done lads.

little update for fans. Bounce game last night against penicuik away. Cowden won 8-2. Scorers ewan x 3/Josh Jack x 2/Michael Cunningham/Andy Rodden and Trialist.

hopefully weather stays ok for game Saturday.

    Mone the Cowden.

Looking milder so fingers crossed for Saturday

The junction bar supporters club will be in the lounge from 1pm for a few beers along with some of our good friends whom are celtic, the more the merrier lets get behind the club and have the lounge busy with good atmosphere.

    Great stuff

Right frosty last night and this morning wouldn't be too hopeful with the forecast.

Yeah know what you mean. Really frosty and if frost does impact Saturday hopefully be milder for next Saturdays game. Not been at a game since the Albion rovers game and Kiwinning away.

Was looking forward to our festive season home games so hopefully weather doesn't spoil it.

Meant to ask is there appetite amongst supporters/volunteers to drive/ organise capitalising on the Celtic B game encouraging and contacting Celtic directly to get as many fans to the game/use of bar/hospitality since Celtic don't play until the Sunday. I previously got some Celtic fans to use the bar previously who enjoyed themselves but were surprised at how quiet it was. Happy to help in anyway

Just checked the results. Some good teams left. We can park this now but I must say I’m enjoying this cup run. Hopefully we can get a home draw or a nice away day if we can avoid the obvious tough teams.

St Andrews away would be nice 🍺

Aye I know but we now have near enough a fully fit squad for the first time in months things may turn for the better.

I certainly hope so as yet again despite from everyones hard work and efforts including Directors, fans, volunteers, new fundraising initiatives we see ourselves in a very poor league position albeit a tight league.

I appreciate this is perhaps to do with Media volunteers but any chance there could be some fan engagement for post match interviews with Callum? Callum always appears to be willing/visible with fans so appreciate it's to do with someone being able to do it.

I am always surprised there is not a keen student or something keen to take on Blue Brazil TV and making it their own. Social media/You Tube is a powerful tool to raise engagement across various platforms for the club.
