You can half that (somehow) since McGeever has been absent a couple of months now and doesn't look to be returning too soon. Big miss for us!

Should be ok thought Gregor Buchannan strolled the match at the rock, absolute magnet with feet and head our strikers be aswell sitting at balloch park looking at a pond full of ducks😂😂

We had Andrew Osei-Bonsu on trial at the weekend, apologies if I’ve missed this being asked but what was your opinions on him?

never seen enough of him and when I did I remember he gifted your second goal at broadwood by following over the ball and doing some fancy tricks that never came off.
He likes the ball when he has but without he can be lazy and canny tackle or track back.

Who is Crawford number 2 with you boys?

I was going to ask the same question? but having watched the game back from Saturday we currently have no-one, seems like McMinn in stands was given him instructions and Crawford assistant usually Jason Dair we thought he’ll come back in for similar role.

As an East Fife supporter of many years I can honestly say that we are in the worst position at the start of a league campaign than we have ever been. I am sure that in some EF fans any team playing us at home or away will be favourites especially if you get a corner or free kick than can be lobbed into the box. Maybe when we get Connell, Swanson, Davidson etc back from injury we might pick up a few points but who knows when that will be. We are a mess.

think you have probably nailed the current situation we find ourselfs in.

with the recruitment being so late and thinking we got mcguigan as an east fife player we didn’t expect him to go aswell as Wallace bringing our strikers down to smith and brown right now and we could all blame clubs haven’t had a easy ride with covid19 but that’s no excuse. Looking at the squad this year compared to the one that just finished I have never been over the moon from goalies to strikers for the rest of us let’s hope what division we will be as we will always look at next season say it’s tough with kelty coming up as stick on favourites aswell...

but I’m hoping with Murdoch back from injury the rest can follow suit and return given the squad much needed boost for season lie ahead still a long season by going by current suitation here’s me thinking we’ve turned it around three/four weeks ago.

    Cove sign a striker.....

The well known and prolific striker that is Ola Adeyemo (yeah I know I had to google him as well) on a free transfer. Ola, who is 26 and last played for Wexford in the League of Ireland First Divison, has had a chequered history and only played 50 competitive games in 8 years and his 11 goals have come for Isthmian League Premier Divison club Lewes and Valdres FK in Norway's 5th tier

He's been on the books of Dundee United, 2 appearances totalling 20 minutes, and Watford, when Harry Kewell was the manager, but never broke into the first team. 1 year is a lifetime it seems as that's about the maximum he's stayed at any club.

Also interestingly played 2 games for Walton Casuals, who you'd assume might with that name might be a prison side but are who actually in the English Southern Football league (tier 7)

He might be vaguely remembered by East Fife fans as he played circa 10 games for them on loan, whilst at parent club Dundee United, in 2015, without scoring a single goal. @Life on Marrs?, @Cambuslang Fifer can you remember that far back, any reviews?

Ola had a trial with Falkirk in November 2018; 3 months after Hartley left the Bairns.

So all being said a risk (lessened by only a 3 month deal) and I can't help but feel slightly underwhelmed but I'll reserve judgement until I see him in action. I've heard he's powerful and technically gifted but also other reports that say he's "raw".

It's been 18 months since we signed a striker, Rory McAllister, and with Rory aging we need a striker who will get goals and link play..Interesting to see how he turns out.

Yeah we signed him onloan from Dundee United few years back in the Gary naysmith era’s has been with Watford B team and I think he has tried a few leagues including the Ireland leagues since etc.
like whoiam has said above he is a Young forward but was hugely disappointing with us onloan so not much to give you any nice review such as he is a young forward sorry.

  6. do we have to pay a ticket or can we pay at the gate @the monster?
Making the trip from shettleston, hoping to bring the wee man for his first ef game since it’s closer to home for us.

though Dumbarton a bogey team away from home these days, hoping we show the same performance to the double win over Peterhead.

This is a slightly over detailed assessment of my thoughts and is what brought about the “negative” chat I stated last week.

we are signing a young striker from Havant and Waterlooville that has stats to rival ally mccoist (albeit at non league level), watch our fans still greet about it like little entitled babies

Hold on, You were chatting saying we’re signing Jordan Austin and we haven’t signed anyone since Saturday certainly not Austin😂😂 do you just announce rumours of players for your fantasy world

going to hide before he bites to my reply again...

Says former motherwell player but sure it’s a loan deal

Semple was a free agent, was released at motherwell having been out onloan to Cove.

though hope he brings something the last well players we had were Broque Watson, Jamie Pollock and Adam Livingston have been brutal though Luke watt wasn’t too bad.

Pleased with that. Hopefully a defender & 2 forwards next. Squad slowly starting to taking shape.

Second that a centre back and two forwards added to this squad is a MUST! definitely.

hopefully we can get Murdoch, Dunsmore back from injury aswell and hope Swanson, Davidson injuries isn’t too far away from adding much needed options again.

Are there any plans to move the dugouts to the opposite side of the ground as in the Jim Moffat era? This would increase the ground capacity at a stroke.

Was the dugouts not moved when Billy Brown grabbed the microphone at half time after facing the boos of the home support. I don’t think it make a difference where they should be, I canny see tomorrow game a sell out both teams playing for fourth/bottom spot

    any word on new players?

Michael Cunningham from Buckhaven ,formerly Dundee FC

came on when Sean Brown went off injured in the first half.

I would have another look at that Cunningham upfront, local lad played with Dundee etc think the other is someone from Kennoway and a st Johnstone right wing back/right full back Dunsmore type. The other one definitely Chris Kane freed by Stenhousemuir definitely have Dunlop and Steele ahead of him was hoping someone class at Cb to partner Higgins but and a Cowdenbeath backup goalie, had a spell with kerriemuir who we had a pre-season against one season ago.
Was definitely hoping someone better in both Cb and goalie areas but that is me being greedy but definitely have to rely on Wallace and Smith upfront is an area we need to add to get goals from than rely on two and brown, but hoping the best to them playing though loan market is another option but.

Hink I was hoping another cm but big season for Swanson though saying that was impressed with Allan at cm and Healy out on the right wing don’t think anyone mention they were playing also, thought that gave them experience.
