  1. Since Albion we have either lacked confidence or players unfit/missing key players or we have a poor away form i.e. Late goal equaliser (peterhead, airdrie to brechin minus Livingston) before Albion suggest...December onwards we were on fire what's happened? Therefore moved into play-offs now four to play sit fifth and not yet safe from relegation also still could move back there if results go in our favour next weekend but the form looks worrying with the games running out is it panic time or should we? We don't want to Peter out and move further down as far as eigth but this league has been very tight this season four games is a lot of games 12 points for any side does a lot of difference. only negative I have came across but haven't said anything like to point out is..... changes to our back four? I know the injuries hasn't helped - I like Chris Kane but since merc left the club he was put out to right back from midfield he is back to best what Gary saw of him in signing him ok at centre back, we miss page and his presence at centre back though and I don't know why cooper plays left back the lad is ok like Ben fairly new and hate someone who you feel should benefit in the final third than having to deal with the likes of cook or furtado (which I like the look of him today, two goals and very pacy as their no. 5 & 6) and in second half the amount of times the stenny number three got by him at times put in crosses but if slattey even he is a midfielder can't say he can play there like cooper and penrice injured what do you do? With injuries we had enough resources to deal with what was throwing today maybe not as strikers with only Austin I like the look of duffie in first half today his passes were nice and crisp positionsly sometimes can wander leave his man he is marking clear at times could be better even he is learning and suffered a horrible injury at falkirk so would be unfair criticism of me but he has only played a game in a half for us so far really impressed me has something there suggest he has something to offer maybe at full back areas also Manager I have noticed has opted not to use Reilly since Alloa playing midfield would he not be worth a punt to see what he could do? I herd he can play full back previously would he not be worth a shot in four games left remain? hopefully mark has overcome his injury he has been in and out lately even from the bench and the sonner insall, page and young penners is back the better I doubt we will see Wilkie nor wallace again this season which is a gutter even at this stage of the season but with today's game for our play would be crying out for Wilkie in the first 11 creativity and in the final third we heavily rely on smith, Paterson (odd set peice wonder) and Robinson with their experience to help Duggan running upfront picking up the scraps and at times he needs another body upfront like smith, Austin or insall every week must be the same and is it the case the system getting boring for these players ; same formation every Saturday a bit fresh tactics maybe 4-4-2, 3-5-2 or something different attacking I noticed we did but I felt stenny today knew our play even before Austin came on and it looked 4-4-2 or is it case we miss the players out injured that fits the system that works well for our lads or off the pace like midweek games? Away from home? I feel we need to do something different next weekend or trust the manager hope the injured players are fit and healthy. hmm, we'll just have to go again and focus onto next Saturday....
  2. Appeared on our bench yesterday must be same one that's good.
  3. Aye says on Wikipedia. How do you know he has signed?
  4. Was he with Cheltenham town in October? Perviously at Scottish clubs Ross county and Falkirk was at the exit trials with Andy barrowman etc...?
  5. We'll need a right back well another defensive option within this squad was young Dryden at Elgin last season on-loan I'll take him as a option if it's available but possibly what I was thinking he'll have many links with his former club so could see many Dee players coming to East Fife at his time here in Methil.
  6. Im gutted hearing that Mercer has joined Qos thought it was all rumours two weeks ago could play two positions i would imagine Kane will slot back to his position before Penrice had to come in at left back but all the best in the league above. I like the look of this Nicky, bit of unknown and 2nd tier oversee sounds a good level to return to Scotland and joining the club should do a job with Wilkie and Wallace sidelined needed another player in midfield.
  7. Congratulations goes out to Liz's team on winning the league in style but anyway seen this on sky sports news and on website our home game against Livi brought forward one hour. Saturday December 31, 2016Ladbrokes League 1East Fife v LivingstonKick-off 2.00 pm(Brought forward from 3.00 pm at request of clubs)
  8. four games into the season. Not commenting on this for a while but i will assess my opioinon on the squad, i was gutted of the news willie has left the club thought after two seasons in the league below he was stand out keeper for me at QP had somthing for me he was going to be gem, a kid who wanted to prove he can still reach a higher level from his past but whatever the reason was it didnt work for himself at east fife and has went back to QP i understand. I think if willie wasnt signed we would or have missed the opprunity to re-sign Liam kelly a goalie who did well on loan towards january onwards when he came available for loan but yet another loan keeper has been a repeat from past seasons at the club i think and hurst will be success and my eyes he should return this week as first choice. Why? I think i have seen much of goodfellow yeah he comes ascros as a decent lad, coach sees his determantion and hes fighting spirt but for me i dont see much of it whenever he gets a game his best game was his penalty heroics against dumbarton that was last season then he seems for me he has went downhill as performances and you can tell he hasnt had many clean sheets for the team for me i only see the lad as back up its reason why kelly was in the stickes. Secondly i felt we needed another defender or cover i still feel its area we need strengthen at right back for completion if naysmith isnt quite fit or have more competion for Mercer. Yeah we have herd at times naysmith might have the odd shift from brown and pat there but i rather have them in their natrual position and so far T-Zero i agree with you i feel Kane can be a passenger i havent seen much to convince me recently and what he does, his position in the team certainly hasnt replaced Stevie thats for sure if its defensive midfield? I think maybe its time to sit the bench charge the batteries perhaps therefore i like to see more of wallace though but Pat or Ross would be first picks over his place untill the injuries to Duggan and smith are back. With already mistakes and errors in the defence i think gary will be realising having a back four from league two this season it wont be that easy they had last season probably quality was needed than he thought of. Lastly im glad we have many strikers to choose from though waiting for duggan's injury to clear will be a bonus to the attack and kev well you know what your going to get he has a massive influcing on the teams bearer and can play on the wing, getting Insall back was very pleasing to hear about great piece of bussiness him and Kerr back at the club, O'hara has quality and wonderful coup on loan to have, McManus has experience head where he will be get to have espically having two young forwards one is into his first full season in a league he has little about, very new recently called back from eos league with dundonald but shows signs of something there early stages though useful to learn of the bench his chances will come ; The second kid i was hugely impress in pre season, the kid has some way to go yet before been part of the team and loan will give him game time. Once kev and Duggan are available for selection we need to see where everyone fits so its going be interesting wait when it happens we might have to play kev or lamont and o'hara on the wings with insall or insall and kev or duggan upfront that has be a great option to have the attacking side at the club but i like to see both sides of our team defensively and attacking have a quality balance the midfield is decent like we have though bit annoyed we didnt let insall take the penalty on saturday i like gary for bringing scott in massive coup in terms he has played at a higher level for the club he is like the leader and adds that bit more edge and experience to the centre of the park along with Wilkie. With two back from internationalist duty and hopefully brown and kev back we will have the strength back in the side a bit and Duggan will add that flame to fire like a new recruit hopefully defence can some how hope from time to time goals will be more than what they've conceded as perviously in the past four or six (im including the fizzy pop cup at arbroath and alloa). Lastly i trust gary theres always a run he gets and if our defence is getting worse by january he will assess then with the market open or use a loan so im confident there but im not really fuzzed where we will be come may i dont make many predictions and remember its our first season back in the league where we gave gary the job i like to see the club doing well yeah but longs we avoid the bottom two thats my concern so not getting carried away with we should be at least a play offs just yet early days into the season for me...roll on sat to turn three losses into a win at home stops the rot, my fingers are crossed. Ahem. PS using this on my iphone and its seems long sorry if you guys find it hard to understand.
  9. I'll would play Muir Mercer, Page, Kane, Naysmith brown, Wilkie, Robinson, Slattery, smith McManus 4-5-1 formation therefore plan b with smith could play as a striker or behind as 4-4-2. My fear is when Page and Naysmith is missing our defence can be all over the place and I would have Insall back if he became avaliable.
  10. See in today's record Kieran Gibbons is to play for Dumbarton in view of a deal.
  11. Part of the Tony Maccaroni deal, they all need to keep the paying customers happy.
  12. Was Ross part of our pro youths? Typing into Google suggest he was as the name rings a bell think he played against Dundee development and came on as a sub when we had falconer etc among the scenes before we aced them. Wasn't at the match but having reading the match reports the guy does looks ok and has a lot ahead of him. Excitied about the season ahead we have a squad of mix youth, pros and development players ie Wallace, Gray and if Mutch signs that should be a good thing about our season.
  13. Yeah so I herd, Robinson was at pars nearer the end of last season I saw because he was unfit hopefully he has gained his fitness joining the squad for pre season as for Gibbons I see everyone has mix views of the lad who joined Livingston from development at Aberdeen loaned out to Cowdenbeath later part of the last season who suffered relegation he'll be hoping for a fresh challenge but I'll doubt we'll sign all three but everything's a bonus for GN. I'll be more concern about St Johnstone U20s playing in the league cup who will want Kerr back for July for the time being before developing in the league above for us so a centre back is what we'll be needing in July as I think Kane will pick of as a Campbell type defensive minded midfield and an striker would be excellent recruitment where we need, but yeah looking forward and everything a bonus when it comes to selections for midfield and other areas of the park.
  14. Yeah Pete McDonald was at Greenock from St Johnstone, Dundee didn't know he was still kicking about? I was thinking more of Gary Glen when ex Livi was mention and hearts connection also.
  15. Backing Northern Irelandâš½ï¸ðŸ† 300-1

  16. RIP Muhammad Ali, The worlds greatest.

  17. For me having Peterhead at home was the most pleasing part of seeing the fixtures, I wasn't particular bothered about the other three clubs Dundee, Forfar and Dumbarton as I believe in this group as in the league anyone can beat anyone potentially cause shocks or Nick points, decent group.
  18. He could of and showed glimpses of ability at EEP to suggest he had the making of a great player but was never seen again.
  19. No that I've herd of, he would be an excellent signing.
  20. Signing Darren Barr would be top notch, having two ex-international from blast of the past in the defence would be awesome coup for the club but would he drop a league and is a free agent at 31. Would be terrific signing but who knows?
  21. http://www.matchwinner.co.uk/joma-copa-black-yellow-short-sleeve-football-shirt.html If it's Joma I'll have this with gold not yellow with black stripes. But my winner has to be...Macaron Vitese home top http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IZlq1uLka3w/U7Bd83irs7I/AAAAAAAAYVw/D85750VOYqk/s600/Vitesse-14-15-Home-Kit.jpg
  22. Gerry McLaughlin Andy Graham Alan Trouten Ryan Conroy Ryan Wallace Ryan McGeever Stefan McCluskey Any of those could add to our decent group we have.
  23. Dumbarton were 2nd seeds and thats why they ended up in the northern section. They're further north than St mirren, Rangers etc...
