  1. Well delighted that Janny has now agreed his terms with the club bit unlucky he had a stop start season last year hopefully the right pre-season behind him this year would be boost for him to kick start to his career, though I'm bit disappointed Pagey left like he did but at the same time not bothered where there's enough bodies if you add both Kane and Linton (who are squad players surely) in the mix at the back then I'm not really disappointed if a player doesn't want to be here then so be it. Think Court is more of a upgrade to Mutch-Jones of last season squad we had certainly looks a hot prospect lad we just have to wait and see what he's like tbh and talking about strikers topic in hoping there's a replacement for Duggan also in the waiting ; coupled with a few loanee developments (what they are now called) in certain areas should do it for me, all in all hoping a home fixture in this morning announcement. Fingers X
  2. See faird El Alagui released by Edinburgh city, when he was at Falkirk recent seasons ago he was banging in the goals went to Hibs, Dundee United, Pars, Ayr then fell to Edinburgh in L2 maybe worth a punt if he got his fitness back up to that level at Falkirk and has plenty experience being around the lower leagues. (Just food to thought on ideas of strikers) We've signed worst jobbers in the past no disrespect outside the football league and Riordan!!!
  3. Well that's CD's position confirmed away to Raith!!! Hopefully Young has set sights on a strikers lined up as we only have Kev Smith confirmed for next season as our only attacker which very worrying to see but hopefully he can bring someone of quality to bang in the goals and also we have one more player to sort weather he stays/goes hopefully find that out sooner.
  4. Spotted Gordon Russell on commercial road going into the chemist, well that's the right back sorted then
  5. Yeah agree he'll need a lot more support and we'll need to add the one reckonise striker at the club. But with only Kev I'm still pretty confident going into this season tbh.
  6. Massive improvement I would say tbh with who DY has brought in but areas upfront need improve or better quality uptop. The shape of defenders we've got and IF both Watson and Dunsmore re- signed then that's a pretty good wall at the back we've got, midfield we have improved by bringing in Agnew and re-signing Thomson but still would add one or two there but everything is encouraging to see.
  7. Delighted to see Thommo stay for another season, hopefully Dunsmore and a bit more firepower is added to the squad. Squad is coming along nicely indeed.
  8. It's clear to see from all on here that KK's squad updates daily the attacking side to our squad ranks definitely needs added to, hopefully we get the right kind of quality in as last season we heavily relied on Smith coming back from injury and Duggan to bring us goals but Spence is a good shout.
  9. He was one of our few January signings, scored one goal at hampden and can read the game well very good passer of the ball in centre midfield, thought we had a chance to keep him tied at bayview but all the best to the lad.
  10. Definitely KK!! Hope this is the start of something and we hear more either in few days or coming weeks
  11. Interesting question I would like to ask is that are we keeping the current home and away tops as of last season ??
  12. Was he not their top goalscorer season just finished there? netting 25 goals in all competitions and 22 in Ladbrokes League 2. according to their website they are still to "offer a contract" but that goal ratio is pretty good going. Well worth looking at in the leagues below....!!
  13. Our Squad. Scott Linton - Staying Johnny Page - Staying Chris Kane - Staying Mark Docherty - Staying Pat Slattery - Staying Kevin Smith - Staying Kyle Wilson - ? Farmed out to Bonnyrigg Ryan Inglis - ? Last herd was he was farmed out to West Calder Utd. Conner McManus - ? Craig Thomson - ? Chris Duggan - ? Aaron Dunsmore - ? Craig Watson - ? Left the club: Ryan Goodfellow, Mark Lamont, Kyle Wilkie, Ross Mutch, Robert Jones and Kieran Millar. Returned to Parent Club: Adam Livingston, Matthew Knox, Ben MacKenzie and Scott Allardice.
  14. You guys have got yourself's a defensive midfielder type of player, very good tackler and works very hard has won the player of the year at Stenhousemuir and with ourselfs, disappointed he has chosen to move on I hope it works out all the best to the boy.
  15. I've noticed that George Good has departed Bayview, I thought he would of been part of GN backroom team when he and Dougie joined QOTS but is a big blow!! He was really liked by the players and was first class physio. We were lucky to have such a good guy that put everything on the pitch in his time at east fife, Sad to see him go, all the best in your new adventure. hopefully someone with the same cabire and experience in the role steps in as a replacement and the club has lined up someone.
  16. Possibility when the squad is complete you would think the numbers would change unless we're Real Madrid and not allow someone to wear the no.4 shirt for the season ahead. Ps I wonder if we do have that spare no.77 shirt kept in the locker somewhere from the start of the season Regarding those farmed out I'm only going by looking at the playing staff we have on the website so my guess is pretty much like your question tbh though the only one that stands out would be Wilson in that category but would he be worth staying in young's eyes.
  17. Good to see we have kept the squad numbers I thought they were binned this season apparently not! Which is great to see. But the squad is pretty much taking shape as we speak with 3 defenders, 2 midfielders and a striker which is encouraging to see hopefully the ones offered contracts will be retained - fingers crossed, It'll also be interesting to see what the suitation and club does with the other guys now i.e. McManus, Thomson, Jones, Wilson, Mutch and Inglis(If he's around?). But it'll be interesting month ahead looking at KK list be good to check back in a few weeks time though.
  18. Not commented on here for a while but if these players are committed to club for next year it is a slight worry and you maybe right KK only Slattery and Page have been anywhere near the first team. Looking at Kano he hasn't got in the team and he's lost his favoured position to Dunsmore in the summer when he has been given the chance? he often tends to make more mistake or give away needless fouls and therefore he's a player with a red card waiting to happen like arbroath (home) are we regretting the decision of his two year contract? Probably. Left back was always a gap where we never seem to have filled since Penrice!! Therefore Linton brings along bags of experience having been freed by Clyde the pervious season through injury and can play there a bit, I did have my doubts about him if he can step up a division again but has scored many set piece free kicks in the opposite halve this term but part from that he has been in and out the team either team selections or down to injuries. Smith though I do like Smith I don't think this has been his best season to last year and the one pervious maybe down to injury he pick up has therefore played apart I dunno but I've not seen enough of him this year to suggest he's worthy tbh though he's a leader like Page and the experience we do need in the changing room I suppose. if it's true that we are to loose Dunsy and Duggan from the team by god then that's disappointing news to hear as Dunsmore has by far been the improve player as a right back and has contributed more asset as a full back than any other player and his assets and attacking threat within the team has been the reason why we have picked up the points. Duggan on the other hand has scored 10+ goals this term and in the summer we failed to sign another attacker i.e. most of them went to other clubs if Duggan does then leave then it will become a bigger task to find not one another striker but two more who can score goals for the team. i'd also quiet like to keep Wilkie, Millar, McManus, Thomson also young Wilson and Jones about plus IIF united don't want their kid that's on loan to us, I would happily have him in the squad next year) the rest I wouldn't sleep much over.
  19. We would need get a midfielder or defensive one. Unless young fields the bench with Mutch, Wilson and there's always Inglis somewhere if he's around at the club still. But yeah we can sign players without a club and they was a few mutual termination in this window too. quite happy at our transfers. Left back had been a problem since Penrice/Mercer left from last season though Linton and Docherty did a good job this year feel that we needed a solid left sided player we have players who can play in numerous positions I feel that's great and brought in a striker for Hurst and the signing of Thomson.
  20. Young centre back formerly of West Brom academy moved to Dundee U20s made his EF debut in the defeat away to Alloa, he did ok when he was here but has a bright future ahead of him.
  21. With project brace happening I can see this a no no I herd Falkirk scrap the idea of having a under 20s team to focus on promotion I can see this happening once it hits the premier league...with project brace spreading through the Scottish leagues #DinnyWorry
  22. Oh dear, it does look like Goodie will be first choice unless there's any more signings.
  23. We have three? Unless M. Hurst who wasn't named on the bench has returned to his parent club "St Johnstone"
  24. Surprised he's joined airdrie tbh but that's football he's a good wee player certainly what we lack him and Robinson can play in numerous positions at full back and in midfield. As the poster said above he's highly thought of in these part of Fife.
