Are you a journalist as I feel that's the issue here, people who should know better, and are employed to present factual content, showing a lack of professionalism. It's the same for the idiots in the media who just shrug their shoulders and say "I don't have a clue how the Nations League works". That's fine if you are a punter, but as a pundit your job is to specifically know how it works before you start ruminating on the subject.

This was precisely my issue with Ewan Murray saying it. Not remotely arsed if some Talksport caller gets it wrong, and the SPL does roll off the tongue a bit easier, but you'd expect someone who is paid to report on Scottish football and who is the sole Scottish football correspondent on the biggest football podcast in the UK to get it right. It wound me up more with Murray as it's just the latest in a long line of examples that show he doesn't know any more about Scottish football than someone you could pluck out of any pub in Scotland, and even at times shares the same contemptuous, half arsed attitude towards it as some of his colleagues down south.

  2. Every time Ewan Murray is on Football Weekly as their Scottish football correspondent (absolute lol) he repeatedly gets fairly basic factual things wrong and shows that he isn't very clued up at all. The most recent one i can think of is him being on to discuss the ticket situation after our game against Rangers and showing that he really didn't have any understanding of it. He also referred to the league as 'the SPL' the other day which is absolute bare minimum stuff from someone meant to be an authority on the subject.

  3. They've had VAR for near enough 2 years down there and the commentators still can't wrap their heads around the delayed offside flags. Absolutely perplexed every time it happens, when it's blatantly obvious why they do it.

Also i know ranting about commentators is a bit Calling Cards of Morons™ but i'm constantly puzzled by BT's selection. There are folk making decisions at BT who genuinely think Martin Keown is a good co-commentator and someone folk want to listen to.

  4. When Kyogo, Rogic, Turnbull and then McGregor all ended up injured with this run of fixtures coming up, i feared that there was a real chance our season was about to come off the rails. To come out with maximum points, with Kyogo still to come back is a bit of a dream. A very tricky month which could potentially end up being season defining. Hell of a long way to go yet though, and if tonight is anything to go by there'll be hunners of nervy times to come.

I'm guessing Bates hasn't seen any clips of Matt O'Riley playing. Incredibly obvious what he wanted to do there and just seemed to stand aside and let him do it. Not that i'm complaining mind.

It was Scott Brown who was closest, and failed to react. Piss poor.

Was on about the first goal where he was allowed to move it onto his left foot and cross - which is essentially his trademark.

  6. Hating McTominay is one of Goldbridge's running gags at this point. Also, it's essentially a comedian playing a character. Why anyone would give weight to his opinions i've no idea. The fella behind it (Brent Di Cesare) is very good at it tbf to him.

  7. Whilst our intensity definitely drops, 'Celtic are gubbed after the first hour' seems to be replacing 'Celtic are a shambles at the back' as the widely accepted Sportsound narrative folk are repeating as fact, despite evidence proving otherwise.

We've conceded one goal in the league this season after the 70th minute, which was in July. We've also scored loads of winners past the 85th minute mark, including a couple past the 90th minute.
