In addition to this, Oasis's old graphic designer - the guy who came up with their first three album covers - has claimed to have unearthed an old cassette of Oasis demo's by Noel. They include 6 versions of Wonderwall and a mystery unreleased track. There is also the recordings of chit chat between songs. So far he isn't revealed the other contents of the cassette and won't say anything about the unreleased track. He's already been offered silly money for the tape.
He's saying he'll never upload it so i'm guessing it probably won't see the light of day, which is a bit shite after saying 'wait til you hear this' etc

Beyond buzzing for that

Frank Turner announced shows in Aberdeen and Edinburgh for December. What's garage in Aberdeen like for a gig. Dinnae fancy Usher Hall as all seated.
Sure they take the ground floor seating out for most gigs0 -
Biffy were on another level last night, maybe the best i've seen them. FOB were decent for abit of nostalgia, The Xcerts were surprisingly good, as were Wolf Alice, didn't see much of Cage the Elephant.

Not sure how they've got a hold of it but this is probably the best quality Knebworth footage i've seen, other than the one on the Oasis channel

Always thought be here now was a quality album and massively underrated, if you can call an album that sold 9m underrated. That gmex gig is a classic too, loved Liam's voice with a bit of grit in it

Someone has uploaded short clips of the full quality Mustique demos on YouTube, sounding pretty bangin'

Scott's twitter has either been hacked or he's having a bit of a rough time, saying Frightened Rabbit are no more and coming across as generally being a bit depressed. Quite worrying
Edit - He's just deleted the tweets, normal service resumed hopefully

The opening riff in My Sweet Lord = the solo in Supersonic

After a few days of listening to it i really love the album, I was lucky enough to see them play a wee acoustic set then meet them all in Edinburgh yesterday, nice bunch of lads. They deserve to be much much bigger over here though

Alan White was a league above the others in the mid 90s, Tony's nice for the nostalgia n that but he was never really good enough. Alan's brother Steve came in for him for a few gigs in 2001 and took it to another level completely, added something different altogether

Can hear the new track here: http://diymag.com/2016/03/21/biffy-clyro-wolves-of-winter-ellipsis
Loving that, sounds like nothing like they've ever done before but also sounds like a classic big Biffy song, new album 'Ellipses' is out July 8th

Another new tune 'Get Out' is on Spotify now, really liking it now after a few listens

You can listen to the album here : http://www.npr.org/2015/09/20/439491238/first-listen-chvrches-every-open-eye
Make them gold is maybe my favourite song so far, so good

Will probably try and get a ticket for Biffy Clyro at new year, seen them a couple of times now and they're on another level live. Plus i'm going to Princes street anyway. Anyone know the capacity for it?

New album coming out 25th September: Here's a tune for you.
Really starting to like that, new album should be good if it's along the same lines

Finally finished this today, the finale was up there with the best TV i've ever watched. Superb

Hawick Common Riding was on over the weekend which was decent as always, although i'd imagine it'd be weird as f**k if you weren't from the borders

Very very good album, You Know We Can't Go Back is the best song he's written in a long time IMO. I'd say melodically the album beats anything he's done since maybe DBLT

Cool. What if I've got a conditional from uni and wouldn't find out until August if I'm going to uni or college? I'm pretty certain I have to apply before that?
There's a section in the application form for conditionals, you just update it when you get your results. You can put your HND course down as a back up too.

Guys what's the deal with SAAS? How do I apply? Also, I'm planning on just not turning up to my HND course (I've accepted the offer) If I get an offer for uni, how would this affect SAAS etc?
http://www.saas.gov.uk/how_to_apply/index.htm - it takes a while but it's fairly straightforward
Also, if you got an offer from the Uni, couldn't you just email the college to say you wouldn't be going? SAAS need to know what course you're doing and where, so that could complicate things if they think you're doing a HND.

Also just watched The Interview, i'd say pretty much the same as above. Hilarious at times, and a good film overall, but it isn't quite as good as i had hoped.

I found it fine but I was 17 at the time so didn't have to worry about nights out. There is (or certainly was when I was there in 2009-10) a night bus runs so you don't have to worry about taxis to get back out.
Halls are great if you end up with good folk, and being able to wake up 10 minutes before a lecture and make it on time was awesome.
I'll be going on 19 so i would hope to be out in the city a fair bit, I'm looking forward to the halls experience though. where did you live in second year? I'm hearing Gorgie is a popular area for HW students, with decent bus links etc
Also, what did you make of the Uni in general?
Don't go to Heriot Watt but if your going into 1st year and are under the age of 20 just bite the bullet and go into halls. Everyone is in the same shit situation and just gets on with having fun.
I'm almost certain i'll be living in halls, i'd feel as if i was missing a part of the experience if i never.

Oasis/Noel Gallagher/Beady Eye songs...
in The Music Forum

I reckon we'll see it in a few years, but Noel seems to be loving what he's doing these days and totally content with never being in Oasis again, i can't help but think if he ever did give in and play a few gigs with Liam it'd be obvious he wasn't that into it. Obviously i'd still absolutely love it though, they'd sell out every major stadium in the UK in seconds.
As for new material i'd agree that it'd be a bit odd for Noel to write songs for Liam to sing again, and maybe even a backwards step. His solo albums are far far better than the last Oasis album imo
