    I can’t see any going to Broomhill, but may be wrong. As good as some of the players are, I can’t imagine many would make it at LL level. Michael Aitken at CB is only 19 and was at Hearts before St Pats, he’s probably most likely. It’s a great coup for Cale and setting next season up to be a cracker in both divisions.

    I took in the st pats game on Tuesday which they won comfortably to win the league. Iv also seen them a few times this season and would say I don’t think they will find the Cale 1st division easy next season. I know they will be hot favourites to win it but iv not been that impressed albeit they have a very young squad.

    Maybe I’m being harsh, but we all have things going on. Iv timed out twice this season I think and happily took the defeats as it’s my fault. I don’t think folk should just be allowed to go awol. It’s 1 move per day, it’s not that tough to keep up with.

    I may be wrong here but I see today our lodgers, Broomhill, have appointed Zander Diamond as manager and Martin Mooney as an assistant. Zander for the past few years has been coaching (not managing) at St Pats, who, in reality haven’t been setting the Heather on fire lately considering their status in the amateur game. His last Management job was at Syngenta in 2021, who I believe don’t even exist anymore in a senior capacity. Broomhill when they moved in made no secret of the fact they were trying to ‘lay down roots’ and ‘embed themselves in the local community’. I can’t help but feel these appointments are purely to get the locals along to support. With our dodgy ownership and dwindling support (which hopefully will grow being in L1 next season) we could do without our lodgers trying to tap into sections of our support who may be tempted to go see a sons legend and local guy who made a very successful playing career at a high level! I know some folk won’t be bothered but it really annoys me and clubs like Broomhill (and a list of others I won’t go into) can get into the bin as far as I’m concerned.

    Unbelievable tonight, every player deserves huge credit! All outstanding. Spartans over the 2 legs I thought were poor. Well done Stevie Farrell, done what was asked. we will all enjoy our nights and rightly so!

    Fairly standard procedure that. Nearside always down into tunnel to monitor players as they come in, far side will join ref on pitch and leave together.

    1st half tonight we were excellent. Ruth was outstanding. Spartans I thought were poor and resorted to launching balls in the direction of Henderson, defensively they looked awful. 2nd half was like a reverse of the 1st, we couldn’t keep the ball, orsi kept running into the full back and we resorted to shelling the ball up the park. Delighted to have a lead going into Friday though, slightly disappointed that we conceded as a 2 goal lead would be lovely! I saw the stamp incident at the time and thought it was a stamp, the reaction (or lack of from our players) and how close the ref and 4th official were made me think I had maybe seen it wrong. On seeing the highlights once home, it’s a shocker and should’ve been a straight red!
