Well, after being hypercritical last Saturday after our first win, I must hold my hands up , and say the management team got it spot on today. After a struggle in the first half, whatever was said and done at HT changed the game completely. From the outset of 2nd half , it looked like we were on the ascendency, and grew stronger as the half progressed. A well deserved equaliser,, followed later by the eventual winning goal , conjured up by the 2 substitutes. In all fairness, Brett didn't really have a save to make in 2nd half. Thought every single one of them deserves credit for their performance today, and 1 or 2 went that little bit further. Watt was outstanding and worked so hard. Dunsmore has become a midfield winner. Last but not least, Pat has turned that LB position into his own, and has become a better player this past couple of games. And , we all watched this happening last season. A scraped win one week followed by a few reality checks the next 2 or 3 weeks. You just know what's coming in the next 2 games.

Sorry, but I honestly felt we played better against Arbroath and came out with nothing. We had the game won yesterday and tried our best to throw it away, That's my honest view of the second half. I have defended DY all through August, and did feel there is something there in this team, but to change the whole formation and organisation of the team yesterday, to defend a lead was criminal. We have proven time and again that we can't do it. At least he was honest enough to admit that we "rode our luck" . Master of the understatement.

And amazing what happens when we stop. Montrose should have , and we could not complain if they had, taken at least a point from this. I personally feel we played better last week and came out 3-0 down. Our defending at times was farcical, bordering on criminal, and the clown in charge is watching it unfold before our eyes. 4-5-1 with this team does not work Darren. I so wanted this to be turning point in our season , where we could kick on from a great win. That second half performance has taken the shine of the win for me. I wouldn't be too chirpy yet folks.

Not defending the management in any way with this post, but we all know why we don't have the class of players that the likes of Arbroath are attracting. It's finance that is killing us just now. We do have a board with a big money pot that some clubs in this league seem to have. How many times have we seen in the past few seasons, players willing to come ,but the offer from another club was better Ryan Wallace, prime example. Untill we find a way to improve the budget, afraid there is not much can be done. Sacking a manger only dips into the budget as money spent with no gain whatsoever. Hard one to call, and there's no easy answer unless 7 balls come out on Friday night!

Even after todays result, I still think we have a decent squad , and try and play the right type of football. Inexperience in the key area is costing us badly just now. Need Kevin Smith back. You can see there is something there when Courts the Dowds are beside each other, but this is where we need an experienced head to guide them. Young Thomson has a touch of Sterling, ghosts I to the box with ease, then it comes to nothing. Confidence boost required from somewhere before it's too late. I would hold of the lynch mob for a couple of games yet. There is something there, we just need to prize it out.
