  1. Why on earth would you take Wallace out? He had a great game against one of the best teams in the country only 6 days ago. Don't try and shoehorn players in, just for the sake of it. We won 8 games in a row last season , playing almost the the same 11 each game , only little changes ye to injury or suspension.
  2. Watson going to struggle getting the RB role back. Thought Murdoch was on wee of our best players on the park against Rangers, apart from the time Billy Whizz took off and left him standing. But don't think anyone would have caught him.
  3. Now that the circus has packed up and left town, it's back to the day job. Hopefully this season, the distraction of side shows will not be an issue. League business v an able Airdrie side who underperformed last season, but may be heading in the right direction this time round. Going to be tough game, as they always are, but hopefully we can put our league form into a higher gear , and push up the table. We have a squad, more than capable of going all the way. Let's hope they can believe it as much as we do. As for the game, I'd stick with the same starting 11 from yesterday. Only change maybe, if Long is available , get him back in the team . Not much between the keepers, so need to give game time. Monthefife!

  5. Check out "The Soccer guys" match report on FB . Quite funny!
  6. Until he actually reached the box, then all fell apart.
  7. Shocked and stunned at that one, but rest assured Doug, they will come out with something else, equally ridiculous over the course of the season. Just to keep us on our typing toes!
  8. Grant 1903, your use of the word sense merely highlights the probable outcome of that fixture remaining on the Tuesday night. SPFL and sense are not permitted in the same sentence.
  9. Yes , and that very same synopsis came out my mouth in the first half. But, as I said, and others have mentioned, this a cup that is winnable at our level. Sunday's circus show is for a cup that we haven't a hope in hell of winning. Why not play a weakened team on Sunday, protect the confidence of our first team regulars. The financial benefits are understandable, but as a club, surely the ambition should always be promotion and cup success , where possible.
  10. Sorry KK, but I have to disagree. At our level, this is the only cup that we have any realistic hope of winning. I'd rather we put a weakened squad out on Sunday.! That's 2 teams from League 2 played, lost both and couldn't score. Now I'm not questioning commitment, bit I do question respect.
  11. And I'd imagine Lewis Hunter will start tonight. Not sure what he'll do up top though, we are down to 2 strikers again, probably rest one of them
  12. Don't worry about it, neither do they! Tied themselves up in knots about a completely irrelevant topic caused by our Yankified love of stats. Only 1 stat counts at the end of a game, and it isn't bloody corners!
  13. You really trying to piss Leona off completely!
  14. Having read some of the comments regarding moving the game away to a bigger venue, here's an easier option. Why don't we just say to the big club, " Hey ,we don't give a toss about the result, we just want to make sure we make as much money as possible, so given that theory , how about giving us 30k and we'll give you a bye, save all the ticket hassle, and upsetting fans"
  15. If there's one thing I can't abide, it's bloody stats. A Yankified version of game analysis. What we see just now is a squad full of potential , playing some of the best football I have witnessed in 50yrs following the club. Stats don't win or loose games. As DY said post match, I don't care how or where they go in, but we need them to start hitting the net, or at least the target.
  16. Can't let his pass without sticking my [emoji103]in. Why do you actually come on to this forum YPA ? It obviously upsets you so much if anyone even suggests or offers an opinion on club matters.
  17. The key point many are forgetting here, is that there are many fans who cannot afford to purchase a season ticket. Now most clubs offer a payment scheme to help supporters. I may be wrong, but I haven't been of this at Bayview, or I would have suggested it to one or two in recent months. Its not long ago, I myself was in the position where shelling out £200+ was impossible in a one off payment, so had to PATG for some years. This is frustrating , when the rare situations like the Rangers game come along. But I do believe, if we introduce a feasible payment solution, we may actually sell a few more season tickets. Football is all about making an attractive option for ALL fans. We have made huge progress over the past year, on and off the park. Please don't let this one off match spoil the enjoyment for some of our newest recruits in the stand.
  18. Surely players and any other comps should come out the other end?
  19. 7th September looks like a free weekend, could we play Forfar then?
  20. Not a Snowballs chance in hell of that happening, it'll create a Caramel Log jam.
  21. Agree Liam, Bayview is our home, the stadium serves its purpuse 95 % of the time, and we should never move games just for a few ££s. The minute you move venue, you immediately give away any home advantage you have. Play it at our place under our terms, and just see where it takes us. Monthefife!
