  1. Fair doos! We looked rudderless at half time after throwing away the 2 goal lead, but the half time tea did the trick and probably a few choice words from the management. Jim Duffy's team talk had the opposite effect.
  2. I'm pretty sure this will be our first league game on real grass this season. Hopefully we can finally put the Dumbarton thing to bed, but we MUST start turning the chances into goals.
  3. Hats off to Montrose, they battled for everything all over the park. Well organised, were always going to be hard to beat. Gifting them the eventual winner though, has us looking back to the silly mistakes and decision making that derailed us last season. I have to agree the 2 changes over the past 2 games have certainly not improved the team. Maybe it's just me, but no Pat, no win! Perhaps a few more attempts from the edge of the box might bring more joy. Make the keeper earn the points. Having said that, the touch over save was goalbound I think from Davidson.
  4. You don't drop one of the best performing players in your team unless you have to. Murdoch has been consistently in the MoM contention most of this season. Just because you have a man crush on Craigy boy. Seriously though I'd rather stick Aaron up top of injuries are still a problem ,and let Watson into the wide right mid role.
  5. He completely lost it at Stranraer when the Fife faithful arrived with straw and carrots for him. Looking back, probably a horrible thing to do to any player.
  6. Going by both teams performance over the past couple of weeks, I'm going for a half each, no idea what the score will be though.
  7. Let's hope Kerr can turn the Ayr Utd season round, and swap places with Patrick Thistle.
  8. I'm pretty sure Rab Shannon deserves a mention in this section. Pretty brutal stuff during his reign. As mentioned , the Bone season was the worst in our history I'm sure, and has taken us 23 years to get over it and have confidence in giving it another go,
  9. Cedric, or Ola Adayemo from recent times. Gavin Murray as mentioned, and we can't forget Mr Marmite himself, Dougie Hope! ( I actually liked him , "Not a lot" )
  10. Rode our luck a bit, 2nd half, but that's what it takes to maintain a top position in any league. Win ugly as they say. But can we not make life a bit easier by taking a few of the 1st half chances? McCallum had a few decent saves to make, but most, you would expect your keeper to take. We seem to fine untill teams go gung ho looking for an equaliser. We need to to take the chances that come along from quick counters, but we don't. Just have to see how it goes next Saturday.
  11. And probably end the season behind them, statistically as well. Ayr are one of us seaside clubs, and nothing better. Live in a pile of rusty corrugated iron.
  12. Galctico? They could t organise a car park, never mind a decent football team. All roads around the stadium ground to a halt for half an hour due to the queue of cars trying to get on the "away" car park. And we only had just over 200 there.
  13. Strange that, you seem to have dragged us down to your level. The Fife have been playing some of the most attractive football I've seen in my entire lifetime following them. I think the honest comments from most of our opponents can back that up. Saturday wasnt good to watch, bit probably the importance of the game cancelled our the football.
  14. Having heard the original "off the ball" question, I would have responded the same as BF, but I suppose , it has to Robertson as the "never played" choice
  15. Have to say Cammy Bell, may be top of the pie eating League,, but still a fantastic keeper. Couple of worldy saves today, did everything thing right as far as I can remember, and also turned and gave appreciative applause to the traveling support at the final whistle. Good professional , well done.
  16. Big shout out for Peter and the ladies at Laurieston Bowling Club when traveling to Falkirk matches. It's 5 mins from TFS, brilliantly well organized, with soup stovies available for a small donation. Would recommend any bus groups to go there pre-match.
