  1. I'm just pointing out that it's not uncommon for the travelling support to get the worst bits at away grounds. At Aberdeen, the away support get the uncovered seats. At Montrose, we've been given no seats at all, and the flat bit of uncovered terrace opposite the stand Even at Inverness, away fans that prefer to watch from the side have to go behind the goals. That's life.
  2. Have you ever been to Celtic Park? Even with the ground half empty, the away support get the worst seats in the house.
  3. Are you suggesting that you were dangerously crowded into the area you were given? It didn't look anywhere near full!
  4. On the stream, it looked like it hit the bar, hit Hammy & went in. No replay though, so I may be wrong.
  5. According to the football ground guide, Gayfield is 115 x 71, Starks is 113 x 70 Enjoy your night
  6. So, in the Labour fan-boy's opinion, we can look forward to a even more right wing Tory Government in 2034 instead of 2029. Haud me back!
  7. Are you suggesting that Alba will vote against an SNP budget? That;s the only way the opposition would have a majority. SNP 63 + Alba 1 = 64 Con 31 + Lab 22 + Gre 7 + LD 4 = 64 Nice to see that you want Lab & Con to vote together though. How socialist.
  8. Are you totally unaware of the old adage that power devolved is power retained?
  9. If it was only just the headline writers, you might have a point. However... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/keir-starmer-labour-tory-margaret-thatcher-b2457570.html Lots of Labour MP's criticism of his praise for Thatcher in the article, plus a Tory accusing him of riding on Thatcher's coat-tails. Perhaps @orfc can conceed that he holds a minority view?
  10. Compare & Contrast: The Canary Worker's Co-op: "After deleting his 10 pledges, real ‘conservative’ Keir Starmer is now praising the worst Tory PM ever" The Guardian: "Keir Starmer praises Margaret Thatcher..." Kevin Maguire: "Thinking of Keir Starmer's praise for a Margaret Thatcher who..." Sky News: "Sir Keir Starmer praises Margaret Thatcher..." Humza Yousaf: "Starmer praising Thatcher is an insult..." with @orfc: "it's not praise unless it says "brilliantly sought" or "which was a great idea" Aye. Right.
  11. Can you please point out exactly where Salmond praised Thatcher 15 years ago, Jedi? All I can see is a bit where he says that "We didn't mind the economic side so much. But we didn't like the social side at all." Not minding some policies whilst disliking all the others is hardly "praise". Now, please compare Salmond's words with some actual praise for the c*ntbitch: "Margaret Thatcher sought to drag Britain out of its stupor by setting loose our natural entrepreneurialism" I wonder who said that? Look behind the Telegraph's paywall for the answer...
  12. Here's The Canary's view on Starmer's latest: https://www.thecanary.co/trending/2023/12/03/real-conservative-keir-starmer-is-now-praising-the-worst-tory-pm-ever-while-deleting-his-10-pledges/ After deleting his 10 pledges, real ‘conservative’ Keir Starmer is now praising the worst Tory PM ever In May 2023, Keir Starmer laid out why his Labour Party is the true vehicle of conservative values. Those who’ve watched him lurching ever rightwards will be unsurprised to learn he’s now praising – of all people – Margaret ‘milk snatcher‘ Thatcher. They’ll additionally be unsurprised to discover he’s doing it from behind a paywall in the Daily Telegraph. Their lack of surprise will be further un-tested when we tell them Starmer tries to set himself up as a man of the people in this paywall-gated, Thatcher-praising stinkpiece. ‘Which people?’, they won’t ask, because they know exactly which people he’s pitching himself to – namely the sort who can stomach paying for a subscription to the Daily Telegraph
  13. Use the (free) park & ride at Prestwick Town and either jump on a train or walk to the airport
  14. A few points: 1) The "pint" bottle Churchill drank was actually 600 ml. That's 21.13 fluid ounces, not a pint 2) The new measure may acually be 500 ml instead of 568 ml. That's only 17.61 fluid ounces, well short of a pint 3) Champagne is French. They are under no obligation to pack their product in sizes that will only be legal in the UK. Last time this ridiculous idea was floated, none of the French producer were keen. 4) Even if they did want to pack to 500 ml or 568 ml, they would definitely need to produce new bottles. They may also have to produce different sized corks to fit these bottles or put in a new production line to bottle the fizz. All these additional costs will result in a higher price 5) One English sparkling wine producer (Rathfinnet Estate) has laid down some bottles, which it previously described as "modern pints". It's unclear whether these are US pints (473 ml), metric 'pints' (500 ml) or imperial pints (568 ml). I'll not be rushing out to buy it, whatever size it is! 6) I note that this new consultation may be opened soon. Strangely, the report on the previous consultation on the 'reintroduction' of sales by imperial weight, has been delayed for over a year. Rumour has it that the vast majority of responses from both business & the public have rejected the proposals, and that the government are avoiding publishing the results. Given these points, the obvious conclusion is that this waste of parliamentary time is a transparent attempt to get "brexit bonus" headlines in the likes of the Mail, Sun & Express. Pathetic.
  15. As far as I'm aware, Matheson has never accepted hospitality at Parkhead or Firhill. All 3 matches referenced in the Daily Record report (in 2012, 2016 & 2017) were at Hampden. Inreresting Fact - The Rangers only appeared in 1 Hampden final during that period, memorably losing to Hibs
  16. Depends how the media reports it. They didn't report much of his defence in the criminal trial or the stitch-up documentary on the BBC
  17. I assume that the reporting restrictions outside court will still be in force. Accordingly, I doubt that a public unmasking is his aim. Anyone interested already knows who his main accuser was.
  18. I doubt he'll be getting legal aid, so will be paying a 6 figure sum for defence costs if he loses. That's a hell of a gamble if he's not confident of winning...
  19. I had a claim last year after being shunted from behind (ooh-err!). The repair took months (my insurers blamed customs delays due to brexit) Accordingly, providing me with a hire car cost far more than it would have been previously. Just another brexit bonus!
  20. It took me years to work out that Sheilagh Hynd's stage name (Revillos, Rezillos) was a geographical description, and not her real name.
  21. Am I missing something here? Is the kilted guy wearing an SNP rosette or something? Your "evidence" appears to be that he looks a bit like Donaldson might have looked in 1937. In what way is that "pretty conclusive"? Tell us all about this Nazi past then. So far, you've repeated some unsupported accusations from an unidentified MI5 informant, that resulted in no charges, no convictions and no further action. You would think that the full weight of British justice would have been applied if they could prove that Donaldson had collaborated with a wartime enemy, wouldn't you? You've also posted a picture of someone in a kilt that looks a bit like Donaldson with some Hitler Youth kids. As I said in my previous post, so what? Did they all go on to a book burning, or to smash the windows of the local Jewish tailor? Without any proof, you have nothing.
  22. So, here's the Sockpuppet's "proof". An undated photo at an undisclosed location showing someone that looks a bit like Donaldson with some Hitler Youth members. Well, that's totally conclusive, isn't it! I'm not aware of any evidence suggesting that Donaldson ever visited Germany. However, it is known that at least seven substantial Hitler Youth groups, each of about twenty young men, took cycling holidays in Britain in the 1930s. These were generally the older members of the Hitler Youth: in their late teens or early twenties. Their itineraries were usually built round visits to English historic sites - Oxford, Cambridge, London. etc. One party was touring Scotland and another finished in Wales. They attempted to integrate with the Boy Scouts, and (fascist-leaning) Lord Baden-Powell met with the Hitler Youth leaders whilst they were in the UK. He was also invited to Germany to meet Hitler himself! Now, these visits took place in July 1937. At the start of 1937, Donaldson was living in the USA. He moved back to Scotland during that year, but I've not been able to narrow the date down any further. Accordingly, it is possible that he could have met some Hitler Youth members in Scotland in 1937. So what? Here's a real Nazi collaborator & his wife actually meeting Hitler. Which picture is more worrying?
  23. That's some spectacular whatabootery for a first post, young sockpuppet! I'll happily condemn the former SNP leader as soon as you produce some concrete evidence of his Nazi sympathies. Perhaps a picture of him performing a nazi salute, like the Royal Family, or the England football team Maybe you could quote from some of his speeches or his published pamphlets, like these issued by Moseley's British Union of Fascists Alternatively, you could maybe provide details of files captured from the Nazis which show that he was actively negotiating with them for a position of power afyer the war, like the Marburg Files, featuring Wallis Simpson & the Duke of Windsor. However, I'm not minded to believe a story concocted by a MI5 informant to please his handler. If there was a grain of truth in the story, do you really think Donaldson would have been released without charge? 2/10 Must try harder
  24. No need to link to anything the Mail has ever published, except maybe to remind ourselves of this: An absolute disgrace of a newspaper
