The fixtures secretary had previously said at a league meeting that it would take 3 weeks to complete the 50% threshold (his words, not mine) and that the end of the season is 30th June. If this is the case then these games could start on Saturday 12th June and be finished for the end of June.

The bottom clubs don't want to play because more than likely they will be relegated, the bottom two are so far gone the bookies stopped taking bets ages ago.

Relegate the bottom 2, they are so far gone even Paul Daniels couldn't save them. Put them in with the top 7 from each of the conferences to make it 16 teams in a First Division.

Nobody as far as I know is forced to play or to be a club official. If anyone feels they are at risk then they ultimately will make their own risk assessment. I will guarantee that there are a number of players (probably older) who will or will have already called a halt to their football days due to the effects of the pandemic. Clubs will have to adapt or suffer.

It would be interesting to see what the opinions of all the clubs would be given the possibility of a new proposal

So obvious that certain clubs do not want to attempt to play 50% of their games for obvious reasons despite the prospect of outdoor contact sport resuming soon.

50% can be achievable IMO given that the season officially ends on 30th June, however some teams may not even wish this to reach 50%, look at the league table. Some may argue that they need a 3 week break between the season end and the season starting, if so start the season slightly later and then catch up, especially with all these new floodlit facilities springing up.

I think the 50% threshold can be reached if the clubs want it to be reached, and it would be the fairest and preferred option.
