  1. Starting to wonder if Edinburgh City have any fans that use this....or any fans at all.
  2. Gemmell has been linked to everyone by Clyde fans. I'm lead to believe he's not coming to us and our management have no intention of signing him.
  3. That's just ludacris......wow!!! Someone is surely on the wind up here.
  4. Superb signing for you guys, and by the looks of it Barry Ferguson is assembling some squad (but I remember saying that last season). Really surprised Easton is staying at this level though, could almost certainly play at the lower end of the Championship with what I have seen.
  5. Gate receipts are split 50/50 once the costs of hosting the match is taken away, so it would be better if they are both away games.
  6. I'm not so sure, he did well at East Fife and during his first year with you (if my memory of posts on here is right). I wouldn't be surprised if he got another senior deal somewhere like Cowdenbeath or Montrose. He certainly wasn't a disaster when our 2 teams met.
  7. I remember being ultra confident last year after making some impressive signings during the summer, only to find us finishing 7th.....so I'm capping my excitement this summer and just waiting to see what happen. Blair Henderson is a good signing for the club. I was impressed with him during the 4 games last season, he was a real handful for the defence. I hope I see more of that over the next 2 seasons.
  8. That was him and granted he did play well that night. He was also the player who "handball'd" the 2nd penalty.
  9. It's now official. Phil Johnston has signed for Clyde.
  10. Always love it when fans go on about the size of playing budgets.....how do we know who has the biggest?? I've been watching football for 29 years and never known a teams budget once. Who know where Stirling's budget was compared to everyone else's last season. Was it the highest, I would guess not, was it the lowest, absolutely not, can I say with any certainty that it was above or below Clyde/East Fife/Arbroath/Berwick/Montrose/Elgin absolutely not.
  11. Referring to his time at Stirling as 'shite' would be harsh on Buist. I personally felt he did ok during 5 out of the 6 games he played but he did look like a player who would struggle if he was to move to League 1......and he picked up another injury, which ruled him out of the last 6 games of the season. He's always been I player I liked but after a few years of injury problems and the fact he must be in his early 30's by now, I just don't see him playing at any level above the bottom half of League 2 sadly, and I suspect Stuart McLaren sees the same in him (although, it's yet to be proven that he's a good judge of player).
  12. After his brief spell with us last season, I highly doubt Buist is a player of League 1 calibre at the moment.
  13. Really hope this is true. Sandy Cunningham has been confirmed as leaving the club. Looks like he's off travelling.
  14. That was the rumour going about Broadwood on the last game of the season. It was 1 or the other. Think the Falkirk deal has already been signed. There is also some kind of link up with the Forth Valley Acadamy.
  15. If this is true then I'm slightly disappointed Ray Vaughn but I suppose it's a case of 'wait and see'. I know Gemmell isn't everyone's cup of tea but I think, if you keep him happy, he's the best Target Man in the lower leagues and he gives you an option. Get someone who can play off him and you have a real chance. I heard the name of another striker who would be classed as a Target Man (don't know the truth in it) but even though he is currently playing slightly higher up, I wouldn't say he was as effective as Gemmell.
  16. Was a new stadium complex away from the current site not spoken about a few season ago?
  17. It was also in the paper during the week. Although he improved under McLaren (until getting injured and then being played at Right Back/Right Wing Back) I was never a fan on PJ. As has been said, plenty of pace but he very rarely did anything with it and what was more frustrating is he beat himself more than he beat a man. I'm actually quite stunned that Barry Ferguson has signed him in truth. Other than pace, I don't know what he has saw to take a punt on him, but fair play to PJ as he seems like a nice, hard working guy so I hope this move works out for him, but for Clyde fans, I think you'll find him frustrating if I'm honest.

  19. Good advice. Yes the signings have been impressive (and that's an outsider speaking) but we all remember Clyde and what they were saying this time last season
  20. I have copied and pasted my post for you Tommy Boy I got my info from a statement made by the board, themselves (and Police Scotland) done the digging so people like me didn't have too.....I'm not blowing off anything, actually thought my post was quite diplomatic if I'm being honest.
