Well it was a great afternoon at NDP for all Rose fans. An excellent crowd and we were well entertained. Thought once again it was a great team performance from The Rose. We created some good chances early doors and unlucky not to be ahead at the interval. Came out strong in the second half and got rewarded by a Smith header being thrown into the net by the opposition goalie. Smith missed a sitter just after that. The goalie made good saves from a Connolly shot and a Hall header, the of course the ground erupted when Scotty Gray scored a fantastic second goal. Forfar never lad a glove on The Rose as Mark Weir never had a save to make. So all in all a great start to our inaugural SPFL season. C’mon The Rose

So the day has finally arrived and The Rose make their debut in SPFL 2. It’s a bright breezy day in downtown Bonnyrigg. The fans have been well entertained the last few seasons on our journey and I expect a good game today. There will be a decent crowd at NDP. I along with many others are excited about today and the season ahead. C’mon The Rose

Well it’s game 4 of the season this afternoon and 2nd trip of the season along the M8 to the town formally known as “The tail of the Bank”. After the admin cock up midweek in Edinburgh’s tail of the bank both teams have something to play for. So looking for a good competitive game and a pleasant day out. C’mon The Rose

Hi Craigiemack, Very kind of you to remember me in your anti post predictions for the LL season. Will miss all my fellow posters in the LL thread. I certainly won’t miss the guest clubs in the League or KFC Alloa. I keep having a look at the thread to see what is happening in the LL, I like you think that East Kilbride will win the LL this season. Cowdenbeath have already won the prize for top posters on this thread. May I wish you and your club well for the season ahead, and good luck. I hope that all the “ Good Lad clubs “ thrive this season, stick by their principles and eventually we will have a proper pyramid system in Scottish football. C’mon The Rose

So another gentle stroll to NDP tonight, certainly be a lot cooler than it was on Sunday. Again we have nothing to lose and the next part of our education for the SPFL to come. Hopefully we have learned from the mistakes made on Sunday and get a better result tonight. Should be a good crowd and I look forward to the contest. C’mon The Rose

So it’s back to the Boomtown Bernebeau for the first time this season, and an occasion I certainly look forward to. Full house SPL team as visitors and live on the tele, who would have thought of all that 5 years ago. We got a great result against Clyde midweek whilst our visitors slumped to defeat, so all to play for. Look forward to McGachie tormenting Porteous all afternoon. C’mon The Rose

A great result and performance last night and in the end a great result for the Rose. 2 well taken goals from the front 2 helped. Like many games last season the whole team get the MOTM award. C’mon The Rose

One of the conditions of entry for the gang of 3 is:- At least 7 players who qualify for Scotland. What happens submit a copy of the players birth certificate with the team sheet??? And who is going to police that condition? and what will the punishment be for any club that break the rule? C’mon The Rose

So our 3 years in the Lowland League has come to a successful conclusion. The first 2 of course were covid interrupted. The first season was a bit annoying when the plug was pulled when we had 5 home games(incl Kelty) and 1 away to complete the programme and lost the League by 0.14 of a point. Even in season 2 we were outdone by games played and deemed to have finished 4th. For the good of Scottish football the LL has to forget the self preservation attitude and open up Scottish football to a real pyramid system, then let clubs find their level. It was great to visit new clubs and grounds and many fond memories of great victories, performances, goals and a day out. Last minute victories at East Kilbride and Spartans stick out. So fare thee well the Lowland League and I hope to meet some of you again in the SPFL. We move on to new adventures, clubs and grounds. Well done the Rose for the last 3 wonderful years. I also have a suspicion that the Ayrshire level 6 clubs ain’t interested in promotion to the LL. It’s to cosy for them to remain in the Ayrshire bubble, more competitive games against near neighbours and likely bigger crowds. C’mon The Rose
