  1. The lowland league has had West of Scotland teams in since it was formed and probably more now with relegation from SPFL. It represents EoS, WoS and SoS. The SJFA wanted to run it's own league for the West at same level as the Lowland League and Highland League tier five and above the South. East, South and Lowland were never going to vote for it.
  2. November 2022 he circulated a plan for a Central League to 100 SJFA clubs. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sfa-chiefs-eye-third-league-28378192 Maybe the selling point was having B teams in it and everyone joining Scottish Junior Cup filling who’s coffers
  3. Question asked and answered. Oh just for context for newcomers. When the Lowland League floated the WoSFL Auchinleck Talbot was the club that issued the statement supporting the SJFA
  4. Three horizontal lines top right, account, ignore users.
  5. The SJFA in fact threaten legal action against those who did say the were leaving. The Daily Record article is still online.
  6. You should see the uproar on our forum when anything clashes with a Scotland game , even some away ones which he isn't on. Wasn't even aware he went to Scotland games.
  7. Talbot nominating someone anti pyramid & Lowland League that wants to move back to the juniors. What was his selling points to get the nomination. I am sure the supporters of all the teams who jumped ship from the juniors would like to know. Looks like South challenge cup is first under threat. Kickoffs moved to allow Clydebank fans of Scotland to go to both not any individual. If any team objected chances are it wouldn't happen, but they maybe the appreciated the move as well for same reason.
  8. Talbot and Arthurlie have nominated him for chairman post
  9. Maybe the Talbot or Arthurlie fans on here can speak to their committees and enlighten us as to what he is bringing to the table that they have put him forward
  10. Is there income to SJFA from sponsorship money, TV money, advertising and programmes to be added into these equations anywhere ?
  11. There is an unlicenced team in Beith in there. Wouldn't have thought so
  12. Very much the former in answer to a hypothetical question. But good to see the Tom Johnston's old WoS at tier 5 get an airing. A proposal which he suggested was only option but was never going to be accepted which no doubt was the plan all along. Failure was supposed to see the SJFA toddle on with his office at Hampden, gratuity and all the blazeratti freebies continuing on unabated
  13. A lot go on about Clydebank and the SJFA, this pales in comparison to the East and Souths feelings on them. Just a thought. I suppose the Cup for the unlicenced clubs in WoSFL who are not SJFA members will be disappearing. SJC serves same function access to Scottish Cup does it not.
  14. How about Lowland league 2 Filled with licensed clubs who apply for membership. Applications open to SoS, EoS and WoS clubs. That would test any WoSFL clubs commitment to the pyramid.
  15. Wouldn't they need to get their coup completed first.
  16. MATCH DAY! Arthurlie FC Holm Park 2pm BankiesTV stream available £9/£5 or https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Tickets/SelectType?fixtureId=4987 Easter Egg collection POTY voting begins
  17. It has seats for 400 folk so not really a Gartcairn is it.
  18. The only on close to that definition the I see would be Caledonian Braves holding 500
  19. I am sure some grounds in lowland league might be poor to decrepit but I thought the whole council cage thing had been discredited
  20. I am used to clubs using vevo at their games. Also having someone by the dugout with a laptop on a podium flying a drone overhead for the entire game seems unusual to me.
  21. Having taken in St Cadocs what do you think of their novel coaching innovation
  22. Civil Service Strollers ground has one small stand along the North side with the dugouts on the South side. The ground has a capacity of 1,596 with around 100 of that being seated. The pitch was once part of a large playing field but work was carried out in 2015 to provide cover for spectators and enclose the ground. Floodlights were added in 2019 to meet SFA licensing criteria. Doesn't sound like a cage. Have had one home midweek fixture this season in July with one to come. Must have something about them as they are 10th on same points as recently relegated Albion Rovers and above former SPFL Berwick, Cowdenbeith and East Stirling. Seem to be some misconceptions about lowland league.
  23. On another thread someone indicated that the Scottish Junior Football Pictures page on Facebook might be a good place to look. Apparently there's folk genuinely preferring the Ayrshire and Central Leagues there.
