  1. Just finished this and liked it a lot. Jumps around quite a bit in pace/tone but that feels consistent with the comics.
  2. If Milne is good enough to play for the 1st team then we shouldn’t be getting another CB in. Hopefully Goodwin likes him enough to rely on him as backup already. Wouldn’t have started him against Celtic as he would have likely had a rough game, but next time either scales or Stewart are out against a smaller team at home Milne could step in?
  3. Depends on what is going on behind the scenes though doesn't it? If Ramirez has said - "no way i'm spending another year here get me moved ASAP" then surely Goodwin would be right to keep everyone else happy first?
  4. If the choice was between a loan for Scales or paying money for Dunne, then i'll take Scales
  5. I’m all for a bit of spending, but given the number of holes to fill, I’d thought 3 500k players would be more likely than 1 for over a million
  6. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/aberdeens-new-stadium-timeline-revealed-and-what-next-for-pittodrie-3710150 Stadium update suggesting 4-6 years. The author of the above is the guy from "A view from the terrace", and at their live show last week he said he thought Aberdeen would spend £1 million on a striker this summer... No idea why he would think that though
  7. Why is it assumed McLennan and Campbell are away? Given the amount of turnover I’d guess they’d be staying as cheap-ish depth options for the squad and both still young even if they were poor last year
  8. As horrible as the last part of the season has been to watch, is it possible a complete collapse was what we needed to get a proper squad clear out going? We've been saying all year how shite half the squad is, and Goodwin has come in and quickly realised as much and told them all to piss off. I'm sure he thought we'd still have enough to battle through respectably to the end of the season, but just because a bunch of players have downed tools doesn't mean it was the wrong thing to do. If this squad had got a new manager bounce and finished well the rest of the season, then maybe we'd be holding on to more of them for next season and have to go through it all over again?
  9. This is doing an excellent job of making me not interested in baseball for the year ahead. Does anyone look at this dispute and not just think its the owner's who are being greedy? Thankfully I remembered to cancel my mlb.tv re-sub before it kicked in again, but feeling pretty apathetic about the season now. Coming out of 2 pishy pandemic seasons with low/no crowds to manage to cancel the start of thisseason just to argue about money for a while longer is a massive own goal.
  10. Very possible i'm in that photo. Flare came from outside the ground behind the South stand, bounced off the pitch around the corner of the penalty box and shot up into the wall in the corner. White shirt in the pic did an excellent job of panicking, ran back into his office to return with a half full kettle which he tried to use as a fire extinguisher
  11. Safe to say the deadline was underwhelming, but surely it’s better to go with a trimmed down squad than just panic signing a bunch of loan player pish like last year?
  12. Imagine trying to scrape a highlights package out of that game... Maybe just show the goal 20 times? Superb finish that deserved to win the game, but a honking game of football that we have watched Aberdeen play several times this season.
  13. I'd say this transfer window is the first real chance to judge the new team on recruitment. Last year was a bit of desperation given the turnover in the squad from the end of the Mcinnes era - now we've had time to assess properly and hopefully make some decent plans for targets.
  14. Don't suppose Devlin is due a miraculous return to fitness? Campbell next choice for left wing-back? Who is first up from the young team? Hancock?
  15. Win was everything today but getting it with those injuries and still keeping a clean sheet - very satisfying. McRorie had an excellent game, and not a huge issue today but Longstaff seemed absolutely honking
  16. If we'd kept McInnes where do people think we would have been today? Probably would have ended up with a similar caliber of signings? I think we'd have got past Raith and be losing to Celtic tonight in the LC and roughly the same in the league? Hopefully Glass has us on an upswing soon
  17. Looks like a first goal the winner job - wouldn't fancy either side chasing the game if they go behind
  18. Fingers crossed Ramsay gets his head down and strives to achieve all that the mighty Callum Booth has accomplished. We can only hope he sets his sights so high.
  19. While you may well be right, I don’t think anyone knows what we’ve actually got here yet. We’re playing better football, but clearly not matching with any sort of ruthless winning mentality
  20. Seems like a decent performance and a horrible result coming. Luckily the xG will show we deserved to win today and that's what really counts. Reality will remain if our defense leak a clumsy goal every game and our forwards miss a few chances then we'll be inconsistent all year.
  21. That was the first AEW PPV i've actually paid for and enjoyed the whole show. Great stuff. Never been that high on Moxley or Miro, but enjoyed Punk's match and the main event. The cage tag match was superb apart from the everyone superkick each other circle of pish that spoils a lot of young bucks matches for me. Excited to see how all the pieces fit together moving forward now, and just hope they have some stories to tell that make use of the amazing roster
  22. Giving up on McCrorie would be idiotic and I’m not sure we’ll ever develop any youngsters if that is how quickly some can give up on someone like him. His first proper run of games as a CB in years and we haven’t even lost a league game and he should be binned!? How many bad games in a row will it take for us to give up on Ramsay - will one bad month do it do we think?
  23. If Glass had played the strongest team against Raith and we'd got through, everyone would have been complaining today that he should have rotated the team against Raith as they all looked tired losing last night... At least we'd still have been in the cup though.
  24. Any chance the 500k release fee was only if Hibs didn't offer him a better deal when a bid was received? Looks like we've just done him and his agent a favour and cost Hibs a bit more money. Did anybody really think the 500k bid was a genuine attempt to sign him?
