  1. That isn't really accurate though. It is just a bit of a hot take without any real substance. The best club in Scotland have had Tierney, McGregor, Bain, Forrest, Johnston all playing pretty regular in recent times (add in donkeys like Hendry, Morgan and Ralston and they have given Scottish players plenty chances). Griffiths would have been too had he not had his troubles. If they are good enough teams will play them - we simply aren't producing enough good players.
  2. I’ve done loads of cruises, all different routes around the Med, and I love them. Always go all inclusive which is a big perk. It’s nice to see a different place every day as well. The service and food has been absolutely excellent on every one I’ve been on. The entertainment can be a hit or miss though. No interest in particularly formal cruises though. f**k wearing a suit in 35 degrees heat when you’re on holiday. Each to their own though.
  3. Not latterly, they added toilets pretty close to the bar. Must have had a load of complaints about the location of the other ones. It was a shit pub, as is Old School House. It is now a Thai restaurant.
  4. Thoroughly deserved. England’s batting has been laughable at times.
  5. That (new) old ball was doing enough. Surprised they took the new ball when they did.
  6. Realistically how many more overs do we think? 20 or so?
  7. If your team needs a point to quality for Europe/win the league/avoid relegation and it’s deep into the second half surely you’d expect your team to wind the clock down and generally do all they can to see the game out. Not go all out attack in the hope of getting a goal while leaving yourself exposed at the back.
  8. Why? Because it’s the rules of cricket. Not really hard to comprehend. Your “running out of time” line is also utter nonsense. Of course there’s going to be limit on the number of overs bowled. They will have drawn because they didn’t take 20 wickets within the allotted overs, not because they ran out of time.
  9. The variance in test cricket is why it’s the best form of the game. These kind of matches are intriguing and great entertainment. If you don’t think so test cricket isn’t for you. Easy.
  10. It’s nothing at all like that. You need 20 wickets to win a test match, simple as that. Your penalty shoot out comparison is wild because you can’t draw a penalty shoot out.
  11. But a football team can dominate 90 minutes, have countless shots on target, all the possession and still end up drawing. Every football fan will have celebrated a draw at some point in their lives, cricket is no different. A draw from this situation would be phenomenal.
  12. Tell that to all the creditors he shafted while happily sipping away on champagne in Soul.
  13. Thought so. Sure both were also at Haddington.
  14. Kyle Mitchell got 3 for Leith in that game, did he play for us? I may have made that up.
  15. Someone should have told Darren Dods this.
  16. Lots of rain. Scramble a draw. Take it to the final test. Surely this is the best England can hope for now?
  17. I do a Nuffield one every six months or so, it is part of my membership so costs me f all. In summary it is quite useful and I saw great results when I shifted a load of weight but I am not sure what it would achieve in your circumstances. It will measure your blood sugar, cholesterol, body fat etc but I don't see how it would identify any underlying injuries. It is a PT that performs it as well so not a qualified physio. I wouldn't pay for one if it wasn't part of my membership.
  18. England just cant get these two out cheaply. Must be some rain forecast as well?
  19. Surely yon Brechin fan was just having a bit of fun and he seems to have rattled Arbroath and Montrose fans along the way. Good post.
  20. But they aren’t mutually exclusive. Taylor played up top on Saturday so Allan would come in straight for him.
  21. Was Dods still under contract at the end of that dismal season? If so that’s your club’s fault. You could easily structure a one year deal with an option of a second and not take it. Nothing to do with fairness. So you’re admitting it can only work come season end when most managers are out of contract anyway?
  22. It’s still not careless. If £13k was won on an Elgin City player being booked of course they are going to investigate. Only morons could expect to win that and get away with it in such an illiquid betting exchange.
  23. It’s not careless is spot fixing and he should be hammered.
