  1. Good to know, thanks. Hopefully won't be "walk up" for (m)any, as sorting a holiday with three kids out is like herding cats! LOL!
  2. I take it that the cup is due to be running again in July! Is it anticipated that fans will be admitted to these games, would you think? Hoping to get up for some games in MD3, 4 and 5, and spend about a week camping in East Scotland...fingers crossed!
  3. Thanks for your input, fellas. I'm really hoping to be able to come up and see some games. Did Dundee United, St. Johnstone, Elgin and Motherwell last time. The season before, around Burnley's trip to Aberdeen, we visited Arbroath and saw Livingston vs Berwick Rangers at Linlithgow Rose's ground. Keen to get some more grounds ticked off. In the dim and distant past, have visited Berwick, Queen of the South, Hamilton, Ayr United, Stenhousemuir and Scotland vs Faroes Islands at Celtic Park. Not too bad, really...
  4. Daft question, no doubt, but will the competition go ahead at the start of the next season, would you say, and are BF sponsoring it again? Have enjoyed my recent trips north from Sheffield to sample some early matches!
  5. Thanks for that, guys. I didn't know that the law on drinking and driving is different in Scotland. I will bear that in mind in terms of how much to drink and when.
  6. Morning all! I'll be in Elgin next week...just wondering if any Highland League clubs have a friendly lined up for next Thursday at all? Staying in Hopeman, to be precise.
  7. That's great, thanks! Driving quite a long way, from Elgin, so not sure what time we'll be there. Keep your eye out for Burnley fans, LOL
  8. Going to be travelling up for the Motherwell-Annan game next Saturday. Where's best nearby for a good pint of beer (I'm a real ale fan myself) that lets kids in too? Thanks in advance. Also, parking recommendations for an easy get away back to Sheffield for after the game would be great! :-)
  9. Going to be travelling up for the Elgin game on next Friday night. Where's best nearby for a good pint of beer (I'm a real ale fan myself) that lets kids in too? Thanks in advance. Also, parking recommendations for an easy get away back to Hopeman for after the game would be great! :-)
  10. Going to be travelling up for the Dundee United game on Tuesday night. Where's best nearby for a good pint of beer (I'm a real ale fan myself) that lets kids in too? Thanks in advance. Also, parking recommendations for an easy get away back to Forfar for after the game would be great! :-)
  11. Sorry about that, where are my manners! Thanks to you to... :-)
  12. Cheers, Deej! B+Q don't get arsey about fans parking there, then?Keep your eyes peeled for Burnley shirts! :-)
  13. Hi. Hoping to go to the League Cup game V Brechin in July. Have been told parking available off Newhouse Road...would that be the best option? Where's good for a decent pint beforehand? Will have three kids with me, so can't really be hiking back into town if I can help it....cheers!
  14. Thanks, guys! Side streets it is, then! I doubt the crowd will be that big for the visit of Brechin, anyway?!
  15. Sorry, I meant winding, rather than windy (parp!) About St. Johnstone, does anyone know of decent street parking nearby, rather than paying £5 for the club's car park?
  16. A bit windy is it? Will look at a stop off point somewhere en route , that's for sure. Really looking forward to it!
  17. Oh, and hoping to do the drive up and back via The Cairngorms, as that sounds better thna the A road that goes up past Aberdeen? If anyone can recommend stuff to see, ways to amuse Children (12, 11, 8 ) near Forfar / Dundee / Perth / Elgin, then please let me know! :-) I also like real ale, so pub recommendations wouldn't hurt! LOL
  18. We're doing 2 nights near Forfar and 2 nights near Elgin. Decided to do Motherwell on the Saturday, as it's closer to home, and have sacked off the Sunday idea, as I have a reffing course that day. Motherwell to Sheffield not too bad of a journey. Campsites both booked, and can't wait! Tues: dundee United, Wed: St Johnstone, Fri: Elgin, Sat: Motherwell. keep your eyes peeled for 4 Burnley fans! Three kids and one stressed out looing adult! :-)
  19. Which town / ground is better to see a game at, please: Brechin or Forfar? Thinking of Dundee Utd on 23rd, then St. Johnstone 24th, Elgin 26th, Brechin or Forfar 27th, Dundee 28th. Sound like a good plan? Camping with three kids to keep costs down, whilst cramming in as many games as possible!
  20. Thinking of having a week up in Scotland, with the kids, hopefully getting 5-6 games in during that time. What sort of ticket price do clubs tend to charge for these? Did Arbroath and Livingston (at Linlithgow?!) last season, but can't find my bloody tickets stubs, if there were any...Thanks in advance!
