  1. Alternatively you would be trying to entice someone who does not see the club as an easy way of making a killing by loading the club with debt.
  2. Little Kerse formerly the BP playing fields is a private company now. You are correct in that the owners recently asked Syngenta Juveniles to find other facilities.
  3. In the event that the Kenny Rogers tribute act fails the due diligence process I wonder if it would be worthwhile the club contacting Ineos owner Jim Ratcliffe. Now I have no time for the man's politics or his commitment to fracking but he is an outrageously wealthy man with a transparent business history that does not include mini cab firms or coffee stalls and has an obvious connection with the area in the shape of the smellier half of Grangemouth. Also he already owns two clubs through Ineos Football which is run by his brother, the clubs in question being Nice in the French top league and Lausanne in the Swiss second tier. Worth a phone call I would have thought.
  4. The Montrose fans all had a semi going the week before last at TFS.
  5. Sorry but overall you were pretty poor though with a couple of exceptions. Falkirk were appalling on Saturday, Clyde took advantage and got their reward but I genuinely don’t think you were particularly good. I hope that you have a decent season though.
  6. Happy when we signed him but zero contribution from him so far.
  7. The clock is ticking for McKinnon now. He has been allowed to build his own squad which really should be capable of winning this league with a fair bit to spare. Unfortunately his tactics are still woefully cautious and not even suited to the players that he signed. I will be surprised if he is here for much longer unless he turns his entire footballing ethos on its head.
  8. I think a lot of the animosity towards Dixon stems from the fact that McKinnon chose to go with him rather than Robson who despite his defensive frailties is exactly the type of wing back we need to give us width and deliver quality balls into the forwards.
  9. Along with most of the others he is playing below expected form but he was certainly missed in the second half today. Gomis was left with far too much to do and Grant had the freedom of the park to dictate play for Clyde. I really think the system we are playing does not suit the players we have.
  10. Not had a go at the Manager before but that shambles today is completely down to rank bad management from McKinnon. Started off with the wrong tactics, far too narrow, and ended with no tactics at all just a punt and run mess. Huge gaps in the midfield, hardly a surprise the lad Grant got man of the match as he had massive amounts of time and space to play his game. We won’t be close to winning the league with this manager unfortunately.
  11. What a shambles, I’ve seen under ten sides better organised.
  12. Looking forward to this one. Always had a soft spot for Clyde, would be good to see them back at Championship level and maybe get an uplift in support. Obviously hope that we batter them today though!
  13. We’ve had this 35K population chat before. The realistic catchment area for the Bairns stretches from Bo’Ness to Dunipace which is pretty much all of Falkirk District with a population of approx 140 K giving us a similar potential fan base to St Mirren. Whilst it is annoying watching the mouth breathers and window lickers departing the area to watch their favourite arse cheek it should be remembered that in the west of the area in particular many of these are from families shipped out of the weegie slums in the 60s and 70s ( the rest are just inadequate arseholes ) 4K crowds are very good considering where we find ourselves and all the Boardroom shite, probably double the crowds we were getting at good old Brockville 40 years ago when last at this level. With a successful team I think we could fairly easily put another couple of thousand on our home support.
  14. Much kudos for managing to place romance and Peterhead in the same sentence.
  15. "A takeover by American businessman Mark Campbell fell through in June after the investor pulled out over fears he would bankrupt the club." Taken from a Sky Sports News report this morning on a Sunderland takeover story.
  16. Which is not much more than we took to Peterhead (800+) I would expect 1200 to 1500.
  17. I will admit to liking Irn Bru Xtra. 3-1 Falkirk
  18. Mon tae get some gossip going, I’m having to get on with my work here! Not good enough.
  19. 51 years since my first game at Brockville so I’ve had long enough to realise we are no big time outfit who are going to give a skelping to the diddy opposition every week. It’s just that after watching two years of utter dross the prospect of an entire season of this shite really is beyond grim. Ps stick your OF patter up your ring!
  20. In summary Shitey game Shitey performance Shitey opponents 3 points and move on to the next bore fest.
  21. Point 1. He moved all of two yards with the sole aim of stopping play, as has been mentioned he obviously could have been treated where he originally was. Point 2. Not seething just bored and you are nowhere close to taking the piss.
