  1. I don't mind the Kenneth Williams stuff tbh, as I think most use it in a parodical way now. I fucking can't stand the term "minter" get that right to f**k.
  2. Seconded for Thomsons. Great bar. Malones is actually acceptable as well, Guinness in there usually very good. Blue Blazer further up the hill is a great pub too.
  3. What kind of Sony ones? I might end up doing it tbh. I think I've got quite big ears, so no danger of them falling out
  4. Ah that's the good stuff. On Monday morning my 3 year old daughter climbed into bed with me (missus had already vacated to lie next to youngest who has a cold) said she'd be quiet but wanted a bit of my pillow, less than a minute later had all of my pillow and was poking me in the face. 6:30am on a Monday and nursery was closed as well.
  5. Can't wait for the day my kids to enjoy a lie in. I'm a fucking zombie these days.
  6. Ah was hoping you might say the Sony WF1000 ones, almost got those but went for Apple Airpods. I'm not an Apple fan boy but I'd recommend them, noise cancelling is rather good. I kinda wanted headphones but didn't want to be one of those c***s that wears headphones out n about.
  7. For the second time the old neighbour a few doors along got a parcel for us, (wrongly addressed) for the second time grumpily handed it over saying "it's happened again" and for the second time I said "I don't control what address people choose to write" I think this will continue until one of us dies, fortunately he's considerably older than me. Weird thing is, he's a really pleasant guy any other time, wondering if it's some kind of banter thing he thinks we have going. What did you go for?
  8. Car seats and child safety in cars these days is quite incredible compared to how it was when I was younger (and I'm not even that old, I think) I don't really remember having a car seat or a booster as a kid, just always remember my mum or dad saying to tuck the part of the seatbelt that was more or less at neck height under my arm and away we go. Nowadays you can get rear facing kids seats up to 7 year old, although I really can't see either of my kids able to fit into a car seat at that age. While rear facing seats are great, drastically reduces decapitation (which is a horrible thought) my missus always mentions it the moment I mention forward facing seats, but they take up a ridiculous amount of room, we've got a big car and even then the front passenger still has to compromise on space. Anyway, c***s with kids in cars seats thread for this pish etc...
  9. I love the seethe these games bring I really do, be a bit gutted when Morton get relegated. Bit of a wild take the Morton fans coming on here condemning Brian Graham for his actions while having Dougie Imrie as their manager.
  10. The stereotypical player you love in your side and would hate him against you. The whole of the championship will breathe a collective sigh of relief when he retires. It's hard to argue who'd compete with him, Lawless and Tiffoney perhaps.
  11. Julie Fowlis singing this is tremendous as well, also she's quite lovely as well. Big fan of teuchter music. Dunno if it's your thing or not, but Niteworks do a fair bit of work with Sian, Air Fàir an Là by them is quite similar vibes. Niteworks new album is really good actually.
  12. Probably a bit late, but Deoch An Dorus a good shout.
  13. I must have maybe been looking at slow trains somehow! Cheers troops.
  14. Hadn't actually realised the likes of Munich and Frankfurt were only 4 hours. I'm a not a train nerd or anything but quite enjoy a train journey, couple that with an away day, brilliant. Where did you find this out from? I think previously I'd seen it was over 5hrs to Munich.
  15. Not just Tesco, it's all of the big supermarkets. Yes there is cost of living / inflation issue, but it's a very competitive battle for market share and profits, essentially prices rising to ensure profits continue.
  16. Robbie Muirhead scoring first, giving it the big un to the home fans and then us scoring 4 or 5 goals is always a good laugh. I'd take that. But yeah, not confident for this one, never enjoy playing a team bottom of the league at home. Wonder what our stats are like in such occasions.
  17. Tremendous result and a performance I think the team really needed after the last few games, looked closer to how we played at the end of last season. I thought Fitzpatrick's finishing was superb as well, not short on confidence coming back. Arbroath looked a shadow of the team we played earlier this season.
  18. Greenie for the fact you've just sacked editing this. Also, got one for my wee girl in the summer thinking I was some genius and it will allow me n' the missus to sit in the sun drinking while she tires herself out jumping around like a maniac. No, it didn't work like that, it's 2 mins of jumping and then "Daaaaaddd come on the trampoliiiiiiiine with meeeee!" Constantly until I do. Trampolines are fucking knackering, thank f**k it's winter now.
  19. More or less the same. Gave me a chuckle in my tired state.
  20. The little shit lulled us into a false sense of security sleeping almost through the night earlier on in the week, feels a long time ago now. I can't see light at the end of the tunnel yet. If it helps and maybe right now it won't, but all completely normal. The 3 year old has not long emerged from this phase. Which is good for my sanity and the structural integrity of the interior walls.
  21. Dusseldorf and Frankfurt accom is over double what it was when I looked at booking Berlin. Which is brutal as I fancy changing if all the games are out west. Hoping when the draw is made there will be a big switch where everyone cancels locations and people can book a location they want. Might not happen. I'll defo get a bit bored in the same city, but when the games aren't on we're planning to travel to Poland and Czechia for a day, fuckit why not.
