  1. Can't believe you're not taking her to Firhill for feast of football, via Munn's or the Woody for a pre-match pint or two, what more could a woman want?
  2. Legal & General International Index trust is well worth a look if you're looking for an index fund, it's been one of my best performing for a long time now. I've got a mix of active and passive, seems to work well, some active stuff has taken a tanking but others are keeping the overall growth high. If you work for yourself or have your own limited company, which I think you may have based on some of your previous posts I've seen it would be worth looking at a SIPP, I invest in one through my company, very tax efficient way of getting money out, I use Vanguard for that and it's been slowly on the up for years now, again mostly index funds. I don't work for L&G, this is not financial advice, funds can increase or decrease over time.
  3. I'd say this will be our toughest league game so far this season, always hard to play a team on form. This could be about 4-3 either way on Saturday depending on who can defend the best.
  4. Watching those highlights it looked like Hardie could have had 2 or 3 in that game if he'd been given the ball, twice I seen him in space and a pass would have definitely been on if his team mates were a little bit less selfish.
  5. Mixed bag with lorry drivers I find, but I don't blame them as it's probably hard to gauge those that will overtake versus those that will just sit behind them and let the queue build. Campervan drivers are just b*****ds basically, I see posts on the teuchter facebook pages I'm on every year about this group of Italian campervans that head northwest to Skye, 17 of them roughly and apparently they don't pull in for anyone, the fury they cause amongst the locals is quite funny but I'd hate to encounter that convoy.
  6. I don't think she would have been alone in this thinking. This is what it's like the majority of the time I drive A roads now, that 40mph precession, recently I was stuck behind a huge queue of traffic sitting behind this one campervan and despite many parking places available they did not pull in and the cars to the front of the queue weren't overtaking, made my way through to eventually pass the campervan, gave him a quick beep and pointed at parking place sign and I seen in the rear view he flapped his arms as if 'ah well what can I do' fucking idiot.
  7. Spain allocation email came out with 3800 tickets available, was really hoping for more!
  8. He probably is, but not necessarily sure he should be.
  9. I've said many times people accelerating to block an overtake are up there with the worst c***s, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the head on's on the A82 are down to this, fortunately I'm almost always in a powerful enough car to negate it now, but there's always at least one every time I'm on that road. That and closing a gap that was there to return to and then blasting the horn at me as if they didn't just create their own problem. I didn't get to see their reaction, but ye know I really hope so.
  10. I think it's time Clarke maybe gave Liam Lindsay a chance, has always been a very good CB and now in a Preston side at the top of the Championship, got to be worth a look.
  11. Ah bollocks didn't think of that.
  12. Did they have helmets with wee lights on them to let them know you were being stopped. If no I'd have simply driven away from them I think. Kinda reminds me of a time I accidentally (honest, no big team found) joined an orange walk in my car years ago, I was parked near St Enoch probably illegally as I was dropping someone off, looked ahead of me in some kind of tunnel vision saw a commotion up ahead, f**k driving that way and thought nothing of how quiet the opposite side of the road was, one illegal u-turn later I was sat behind about 4 police bikes, behind me was a few more and then behind them was the walk. The lead motorbike signalled for me to move up to the lights, I apologised and said not really sure why I did that, he didn't seem to care, but rather sternly said "when I say go you go and get the hell out of here"
  13. I'd imagine the qualifiers aren't going to be the last games we play prior to the tournament with the qualifiers ending in November. I'd think 2 or 3 friendlies in the months running up to the tournament or am I miles off here? Will potentially give people the opportunity for points. I'm already staying in Spain when the game is on, booked on a bus to Seville but no idea if I'll get a ticket at the moment. Also booked France but again, hard to say if I'll even get a ticket to that either. Not been to an away game in ages due to having young kids over the last few years, but still make all the home games, mad scramble now to try and get enough points for Germany it seems.
  14. He's caused a collision by not avoiding a collision when he could have, just to prove a point. If a driver of a vehicle acted in the same manner even with right of way they'd be considered a bad driver and so this makes Jeremy Vine a baaadd... It's like people who speed up to close gaps when they adjudge the driver ahead in a different lane to be about to change lanes. A c**t if you will.
  15. Ah the old classic, Lucozade when not well, doesn't matter what it was, cold, flu, shits, sick, sore ear, sore head, broken leg, was always Lucozade. I can never not be nervous about Scotland playing, the hype we've created by winning 4 out of 4 is making it even worse. We need to try and get the kids to bed slightly earlier tonight as well so I can make kick off, tension is palpable.
  16. Aye that's me raging now. Still never met anyone who's been caught, but you're now the first person I know of that's been caught, congrats good sir.
  17. Almost certain this is the case, they do deploy camera vans to the dual sections at times though, fortunately no issues here for this law abiding citizen. Never actually met anyone who was caught speeding on the average speed cameras on the A9. Been told a few stories ranging from the tolerance is high, they aren't switched on and finally they calculate your entire trip so even if speeding in one section if it averages out to the speed limit you're all good. I have no idea if any of this is true. I can say that I've driven up/down a few times at a pretty high average without any issues.
  18. Could be that, there's a couple along at the end, who seem like absolute oddballs got two dogs towards the end of lockdown, I've never seen someone look so awkward walking a dog in all my life. Like an alien taking a dog for a walk not understanding what on Earth is going on. Hard drive check required for them I think. Same for people that have social media accounts for their dog and post as if it's the dog posting. f**k me man.
  19. This is a lot of the problem, dogs fired into the back garden at various times during the day and lack of socialising just results in barking contests. I don't even see most of these dogs getting out for big walks, the token walk around the estate and then back, wow, stimulating other than the aforementioned good c**t who I see out all the time with his dogs and funnily enough his dogs don't bark at everything. I should have stated before, I actually do like dogs and I don't like the irresponsible owners, I hate the lazy approach to owning a dog and not training or giving them proper exercise.
  20. Something that surprises me recently is I've heard "Money for Nothing" with no changes to lyrics (you know the ones) being played out in public a fair few times and no one cares. Yet when Kirsty MacColl said it everyone is raging at Shane MacGowan and make a big deal out of it every year.
  21. I like dogs or I used to like dogs, but in the estate I live in it's like it's become compulsory to own at least one little fucking yappy dog and then do absolutely zero obedience training with it. Every neighbour on the section I live in now has two of these yappy dogs, one guy (a good c**t) has managed to train his wee dogs not to bark at every other dog or little thing that happens but the rest, once one starts they all go mental many times a day and almost always around the time the weans go to bed, which is really useful and also coincides with the daily 'who can open and slam their car door the loudest and as many times as possible' contest. I know the world doesn't revolve around my weans going to bed, but when you've had fuckall sleep for the majority of the year and you want one night of peace, these things start to get to you a little. "Pregnancy and parenting thread" for this pish etc... The parent thing aside, it's fucking annoying anyway.
  22. Verge of tears over gifs You're not really a Thistle fan are you, lets be honest here, you can't even spell Doolan.
  23. The worst part of this (new) weirdo is -he thinks this style of posting- is considered... punctuation ,when it is (in fact) -quite frankly- eye bleeding stuff.
  24. Was just thinking the very same thing, essentially culpable homicide and trying to defeat the ends of justice / pervert the course of justice can certainly warrant a life sentence in Scotland. Interesting, maybe a good defence lawyer.
  25. Thanks for the recap mate. Fair cheered me up. ETA: That last 10 minutes stat is fucking atrocious man!
