Does anyone have a stretching routine they could recommend? Something for general flexibility, not too long. Just something to incorproate in at the start/end of a workout

Was about to try and describe what I do with bands, but this chap more or less covers it. Bands are great.

My shoulders are like chocolate, so I do a lot of rotator cuff warmups with bands, arm 90 degree from body, elbow at 90 degree and then rotate using a band or light weight. Would just google rotator cuff warmup as my explanation is probably awful.

I wished I did the same with France game as I would now be on 15 points. Glad I did Tbilisi as it is a wonderful city might be a bit costly going over but cheap enough when there.

My friend was in the pickup hotel with me and never thought to ask. He’d contacted the SSC in the week before to see if any had been handed back and was told there was none. Then after hearing that they’d been selling them, we went down to the pickup point at the ground early but there was none left.

Pretty gutting as it would’ve put him on 13 which is the same as me and would’ve been enough to guarantee euro tickets.

Just absolute luck really, spoke to really nice / helpful lassie when I went in and literally as I stood chatting to her someone else phoned to cancel two tickets. I've heard people say they don't always do it so fair play to her for sorting it out.

Never even thought to try that! I binned my France travel plans once I didn't get a ticket and booked for Georgia instead.

I had everything booked thinking it would be a good allocation, decided to go anyway for a laugh and then went down with the lads for pickup in the off chance. Turned out to be the best decision otherwise I'd have been last minute trek to Georgia which I really didn't want to have to pay for.

  4. Managed to get myself onto 12 points in France turning up for the collection without a ticket and getting someone's cancellation, cheers to whoever the f**k that was!

    Absolutely buzzing for the draw.

  5. Our cup draws really suck the life out of the Scottish Cup for me. If I'm getting this right, 8 of our last 10 Scottish cup games have been home ties and the only two away games were Rangers and Dundee Utd, losing both of them. Wasn't very good before that either, we always seem to get drawn teams in our own division.

Anyway can't wait, wouldn't miss it for the world etc... f**k me.

I've worked in Invergordon occasionally and was told they sometimes get ladies of a certain age escaping from the ship and coach parties and coming into the pubs in search of some rough Highlander cock.

Is there many pubs left in Invergordon, thought it was just the social now.

The new destination is Aberdeen, however the new harbour extension is completely separate form the old harbour and has two issues for the arriving cruise ships,

    1. The South harbour is next to the sewage works at Nigg and stinks 95% of the time,

    2. To get out on the buses to Aberdeen, Royal Deeside, anywhere they are bused through Torry (like Invergordon without the personality and charm).

The other thing it has in common with Invergordon is the south harbour is where the usually have things like this parked,

We're not really setup for the cruise line industry are we.

There's a very good reason why from about April to September you can't hire a coach for love nor money in the Highlands.  All 5000 of them are in Invergordon ready to shepherd the tourists straight down to Inverness/Loch Ness for the day.  The poor c**t's feet barely touch the ground before they're sat in one.

Sit on a bus to Loch Ness or spend time in Invergordon though, easy choice even if you're just off the boat.

  9. Is anyone lactose intolerant willing to share their experiences when ingesting dairy products?

Is it a fairly rapid effect after ingesting dairy products you then suffer?

I've been ill recently, immediate thought was food poisoning or bug, I definitely had a fever and temp during this. But before it all kicked off I felt very bloated and meh, now trying to get food in is a real slog, I'll maybe feel hungry for a short while, then have to basically force something down and it feels like any time I have dairy products I start feeling bloated.

Could be just getting over illness I guess, but it's a total pain in the arse as I usually need about 120g of protein a day for working out, I've no chance of hitting that just now.

Make the guy feel like a right dick in front of his boss along the lines of -

"In future can you please make sure the correct people have visibility of your requests so that they can be dealt with at in a timely manner".  Basically tell him, without telling him, that he's a fucking idiot and so that his boss knows too.

I've done something like that before a couple of times.  It's not grassing, it's showing management that some of their staff are stupid.

    Spot on IMO.

Thomson's, about 400 yards up Morrison St from Haymarket. No music, no puggies, great pies.

ETA - Good beers too, usually several guest ales but their Belhaven Best is top drawer !

    Seconded for Thomsons. Great bar.

Malones is actually acceptable as well, Guinness in there usually very good. Blue Blazer further up the hill is a great pub too.

You just have to own it. I bought Sony headphones last Christmas, one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while, even if I do look a c**t wearing them out and about.

What kind of Sony ones? I might end up doing it tbh.

My primary earbuds are currently Jabra Elite 4. I’m always looking for improvements.

Tried but never liked the AirPod pros as I always felt as though they would fall out.

Hoping for some deals over Black Friday period. Considering these Monentum True Wireless 2 as an option.

    Open to any suggestions.

I think I've got quite big ears, so no danger of them falling out 😂

Scott actually sets an alarm these days, otherwise he'd be in bed until about noon.

    Ah that's the good stuff.

On Monday morning my 3 year old daughter climbed into bed with me (missus had already vacated to lie next to youngest who has a cold) said she'd be quiet but wanted a bit of my pillow, less than a minute later had all of my pillow and was poking me in the face. 6:30am on a Monday and nursery was closed as well.

Actually came to my senses & realised Christmas is ahead & I'm soon to be skint.

Cancelled the Bose ones & went for Sennheiser cX.

    Cheapskate option. (But maybe sensible)

Ah was hoping you might say the Sony WF1000 ones, almost got those but went for Apple Airpods. I'm not an Apple fan boy but I'd recommend them, noise cancelling is rather good.

I kinda wanted headphones but didn't want to be one of those c***s that wears headphones out n about.

My neighbour brought a parcel of mine delivered to them by accident.

I'll give you that one for free.

For the second time the old neighbour a few doors along got a parcel for us, (wrongly addressed) for the second time grumpily handed it over saying "it's happened again" and for the second time I said "I don't control what address people choose to write" I think this will continue until one of us dies, fortunately he's considerably older than me. Weird thing is, he's a really pleasant guy any other time, wondering if it's some kind of banter thing he thinks we have going.

There is actually some messaging confusion on the correct location of a wean strapped into a seat or in a booster. The people (properly) encouraging the use of proper safety seats recommend placing them diagonally behind the driver, so the driver can more easily check on the wean. Meanwhile, the accident people say it’s better to have the wean behind the driver, because most drivers reactions in accidents tend toward moving the drivers side of the car to safety first, and thus taking the impact more on the passenger side. Recently they teamed up to suggest putting the wean in the middle, until they realized some vehicles only have proper outboard LATCH and tether fittings, and people using the lap portion only of a middle belt weren’t installing it correctly most of the time because of that.

Car seats and child safety in cars these days is quite incredible compared to how it was when I was younger (and I'm not even that old, I think) I don't really remember having a car seat or a booster as a kid, just always remember my mum or dad saying to tuck the part of the seatbelt that was more or less at neck height under my arm and away we go.

Nowadays you can get rear facing kids seats up to 7 year old, although I really can't see either of my kids able to fit into a car seat at that age. While rear facing seats are great, drastically reduces decapitation (which is a horrible thought) my missus always mentions it the moment I mention forward facing seats, but they take up a ridiculous amount of room, we've got a big car and even then the front passenger still has to compromise on space.

Anyway, c***s with kids in cars seats thread for this pish etc...
