Dylan Hartley out of the British and Irish and Kiwi and Samoan and Tongan Lions tour after being given an 11 week ban for calling ref Wayne Barnes a "fucking cheat" in yesterday's game.

Pleased about this, Hartley is an absolute throbber. Previously been banned for gouging and biting.

Aye, he's a fud of the highest order. It was a joke he was picked ahead of Best anyway.

I remember in the mid 90s I went to landsdowne road for a rugby match with a ticket for the terrace behind the goal. Thousands of drunk fans with no ticket or tickets for other parts of the ground forced their way in there and there was some very hairy moments as a result. I imagine Scottish and Irish rugby fans wouldn't have been villified the way the scousers were if the same had happened.

We Were Promised Jetpacks were fucking amazing...again. Only downside was that they only played for about 70 minutes.

I thought it was great. I don't actually mind shorter sets and they absolutely battered through it. It was the first time I'd seen them and that wee guy can fair sing. Brilliant stuff.

I've now got Mogwai next week and Explosions in the Sky in the new year. Both at the Barras which pleases me greatly.

The Fratelli's debut single sounds so much like the Libertines circa Up The Bracket it's funny. Bands with so little imagination should be shot.

I think the Fratelli's are pretty good actually. Go my nuts from a hippy' s a great tune.

Next gig I am going to is The Twilight Singers at tuts. Should be a good one.

I was there as well. It was really good. The Barras is such a great venue and the crowd was excellent.

DPT are not a good as the Libertines but they're a decent substitute.

I went to see the mighty Mogwai last night at The Arches. They were fecking awesome as ever, played a few new things which sound pretty heavy. Normal hearing will be resumed sometime next year

I wish i had gone to that. I still haven't seen Mogwai live yet.

The last gig I was at was Explosions in the Sky/ Four Tet at the ABC at the start of the month and it was excellent, especially Explosions in the Sky. The next one I have tickets for is the Go team in Feburary.
