I've just noticed that James Graham is from Lewis. Anyone know if we've had any other player from a Scottish Island?

I don't think it's quite wanting to be caught but they might want to "get the credit" for what they've done.

Just another example of the grass mismanagement at Dumbarton FC.

I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled a West Dunbartonshire Council stunt when they stopped cutting grass to "protect the natural ecosystem" for the level of pitch maintenance
Grass? I forget what it looks like.

I've finally got round to putting opposition managers in the archive. It's going to take a fair bit of time though. I've spent about 90 minutes this evening and I've only managed Aberdeen and Airdrie. But I'll chip away at it.

This is one for @microdave or @Jan Vojáček.
I'm wondering if Ryan Wallace may have created some sort of record - did he ever play a full ninety minutes for us ?
1 hour ago, Jan Vojáček said:Ryan Wallace played a full 90 minutes six times in his 58 appearances for us based on my maths. But not since April 1 last year in a 2-1 defeat to Stenny.
His other 90 minutes were on his debut against Stirling Albion in July 2022. A 0-0 draw with Forfar in October 2022. In the 1-1 at Bonnyrigg in December 2022. The 2-1 loss to Forfar in January last year. In back-to-back games against East Fife and Elgin (both defeats) last February.
You might want to count that again

I think Stranraer could turn up at 3 o'clock and still win.

As we approach what I personally hope is the fag-end of Farrell's tenure at the club, I'd again reflect on how dire (overall) the last few years have been for DFC. We often use the Challenge Cup final defeat as the starting pistol on our steady regression but, going back further, when was the last time we bettered a league position on the previous season? 2014? That's a solid decade of downward spiral. It's little wonder our crowds are paltry and enthusiasm waning.
And that's not to mention the off the field circus.
Aye, that was the last time we bettered the previous season's position.
2014/15 7th
2015/16 8th
2016/17 8th
2017/18 9th (relegated)
2018/19 6th
2019/20 6th
2020/21 9th (stayed up)
2021/22 9th (relegated)
2022/23 2nd (stayed down).
And it was on this very night six years ago that we had that superb night in Oswestry.

I'm not sure what I think is worse. Keeping Farrell on or trusting the chairman to appoint a new manager. Which is (just one of the reasons) why both should be leaving their posts.

I thorough enjoyed that and what a hit from Brown. Mon the wee Sons!

Ah, but it’s the pitch’s fault that we drop off, according to Farrell. That’s what he genuinely puts it all down to.
Two seasons ago we picked up nine points from nine games at home after New year compared with seven from nine away.
Last year we got 14 points from ten at home while picking up eight from eight away.
There's not much difference between h&a records.

According to Urban Dictionary it means a woman that's iconic but I've seen it used to describe very unremarkable people. I imagine it came from that awful Meghan Trainor song that was popular a while ago.
Things started going downhill when she married Harry.

Easy!
The Annan game he only got one. He was initially given the opening goal, but it was corrected to being a Matty Douglas own goal.
There was actually a lot of chat about who scored it. Because the SFA initially gave it to Ruth too, I believe Jim or Graeme got in touch with them to clarify if he was being given it. And they presumably watched it back and nabbed it off him (correctly unfortunately).
Cheers. I was completely unaware this had happened. Archive changed now.

I've seen the club say that Ruth has nine goals and @Jan Vojáček said the same on the match thread yesterday so I've obviously incorrectly given him a goal somewhere. Help me out pls.

I think the last time I woke up properly excited for a game was on 24th March 2018.

The queues at kings park ok after the game?
I discovered King's Park on the day of the Iwelumo game and I've never been back to Mount Florida post match. You simply walk straight on to the platform with absolutely no queueing involved.
