  1. Was at Steel Panther last night in the O2 Academy...ears are still ringing like big ben...fantastic show...flawless musicianship and hilarious banter plus plenty of flashers in the audience. As for the support acts, wayward sons were pretty bland but Inglorious were fantastic, will definitely be keeping an eye out for them returning to Scotland.

He’s been a better goal scorer than Mackin and todarov will ever be . Mackin can go as far as Iam concerned ,he’s a big lazy lump ,todarov’s at least a bit more versatile which is handy but will be lucky to score double figures in a season .

27 league goals in 3 years at Falkirk first time round when he had a bit of pace maybe but doubt he'd be any better than what we have. You're comparing him to strikers who aren't playing every game, are fairly young and one of which plays as a defender regularly. Definitely a player in his day but not worth the risk these days

I think a big indication is we played Keaghan out of position on the right today and he struggled but we stuck with him while Mullin remained on the bench for 90 minutes.

Keaghan Jacobs didn’t play well today, he probably wasn’t fully fit and played out of position, so hardly a fault of his own, Josh Mullin would’ve been the obvious choice to replace him but we didn’t bring him on. That tells me everything I need to know.

He’ll be away this transfer window, Id be surprised if he wasn’t that’s for sure.

Wasn't at the game but did he play right back or right wing? I'm sure he started as a winger

  4. Rey is an average woman who comes from an unremarkable lineage....that's what makes the story...everyone is part of the force and those who learn to channel it can do extraordinary things. Luke practically says this in the movie. Nobody was kicking up as much of a fuss when Anakin was revealed to be a slave from an unremarkable family and he became one of the most powerful sith lords. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of the story and how it'll play out but don't count on there being a twist in the Rey's parentage storyline

  5. I can understand @Livi's concerns with our history but John Ward genuinely seems like a breath of fresh air compared to our rogues gallery of previous helmsmen. He's running the club like a business and letting the football minded people run the football side by the sounds of it. I have faith that the right man is in charge...there may be some tough decisions to make in the future but I'm sure any decision made by John and the team will be for the benefit of Livingston FC

Pittman has apparently signed a 2 year extension with Livi

Heard Pittman signed a two year extension

Where did you hear that? Hope it's true enough

Austin left Falkirk by mutual consent, essentially to join Livingston. In return it seems Pitman will be a Falkirk player in January. What’s he like?

Don't see why we would be sending a player to Falkirk "in return" when Austin is a free agent.

  7. My father in law talks about his suicide car....it's a  standard 5 seater car that you are driving off a cliff and you can fill it with 4 people you hate for no reason whatsoever If there's a specific reason you hate them then it doesn't count...it must be someone that the sight of or mention of their name makes your blood boil. My passengers on the road south are:

    Miranda Hart

    Russell Brand

Carl from the walking dead (the character, not the actor)

    Jose Mourinho

  8. Finally got a chance to watch the Dark Tower. Been wanting to see if for a while as I'm a fan of Stephen King, Idris Elba and Matthew McConnachy.

What a pile of shite! As well as McConnachy and Elba play their characters the film suffers from terrible writing and editing. No atmosphere in the film at all and the storyline is diluted to become almost a kid's film. The characters have amazing potential but fall short, not due to the actors but they way they were written.

Thought it was OK, some decent and some bad parts.

The space battle at the start was great but General Hux quickly lost any credibility. Tarkin he ain't. The Leia superman seen was awful and Ackbar should have had the heroic death given to that other random leader. The shot of star destroyers being ripped to pieces by the rebel ship was stunning.

Most of the scenes involving Luke, Rey or Ren were all great. Although Luke and Ren went on for too long on the island and there was too many lame jokes during those scenes - Luke throwing away the lightsaber, the caretakers, milking that creature. The porgs were fine.

The whole casino sub-plot was awful. I was expecting something like the catania scene or jabba's Palace instead it was populated largely by humans. The lack of other alien species in these films has been disappointing. Fin and Rose are crap characters and Captain Phasam was pointless.

The throne scene with Snoke was great but surprised he was killed off so quickly.

Repeating so much of the original trilogy is disappointing - training Rey, Rey and Ren trying to turn each other to their side, the ice planet etc. It also makes the original trilogy largely pointless they killed the Emperor only to quickly end up as rebels against the First Order.

The whole spark to ignite the rebellion stuff as well surely that would have made more sense at the end of TFA after they blew up Starkiller base? Not when they've just had their arse handed to them and there is barely any of them left.

There film is far too long as well. Get rid of the casino scenes and trim down the island scenes. It's too long for a kids film.

The milking scene is a call back to the milk Luke drinks on tattooine in A New Hope. I agree that Ackbar should maybe have had the grand death but that scene was still spectacular. The Finn and Rose storyline at the casino had to happen to further Poe's character. It was a mistake he had to make to make himself aware of his shortcomings as a leader, something I think will be explored more in the next film. One of the big gripes I'm hearing from people is the lack of significant parentage for Rey...personally I'm glad her parents were nobodies as it moves the Star Wars story away from the old "it's just one family's domestic argument" plus Anakin came from a line of slaves. As for the Leia scene, I do remember squirming slightly when watching it...thought it would have been more poignant if Kylo Ren had seen her dying in space and used his own powers to guide her to safety which would have shown the internal struggle he's facing. All in all I was really impressed with the movie and my standout character was DJ the thief and codebreaker. Really infectious character and I genuinely felt shocked when he betrayed them....still think there's more to come from him...might be wishful thinking though.

Given the Council have probably bent over backwards for us during our entire existence all in all, it would take some brass neck to get tore in about them. That said, there's no doubt that the current iteration of chiefs at WLC aren't exactly a friend of the football club. Can I blame them? Not really, given how much of basket case we have been financially. They're probably looking to maximise their return without putting much in at all (maintenance, 4G pitch discussions etc). Can't blame them given they're using public money. The real danger would be if we end up in some crazy New Broomfield/Broadwood-esque scenario, and we've got nowhere to go but slave out an existence at a white elephant of a stadium.

The defining long-term goal of the club, alongside financial stability, should be a move away from Almondvale to a stadium which we own. I'd argue vehemently that one cannot be achieved without the other, but given we're run internally as a part-time club with a handful of staff and volunteers, I won't hold my breath.

I agree with what you're saying regarding the council's reluctance to help the club but isn't there an agreement that the ground the stadium is on needs to be used for sporting purposes? Surely crippling the club financially puts the potential of a professional football team occupying the stadium at risk. It seems daft that a landlord would price their tenant out of the game

I think the long term goal is to make the Football club financially stable and become a real community hub again, from what I understand the council seem to be hindering that a little bit but the club are working hard behind the scenes.

Obviously in the future on the pitch premiership football would be a target but at the moment stability and a strong footing off it is the goal.

What's the deal with the council? How are they hindering that? On your last point I'm sure every Livi fan would agree that's exactly what we want to see. As much as I'd love to see us winning titles etc, I'd much rather we made sure there was a football team for us to support in the long term
